Terrible customer service and unreliable. After the experience I had, it's no wonder the bank is always empty whenever I go in despite having so many employees. My friend (J) and I went in to get an explanation about something Chase did to her account, and an employee told us to wait to talk to one of the two ppl handling that kind of issue. but then they never came to get us after everyone in the service area was already free. I went up again while J waited and couldn't find that person and talked to a different person, and the next employee (#2) told me that this issue wasn't one that they could sort out, but we at least wanted an explanation to prevent it from happening again. How can two employees from the same bank have completely different customer approaches? Finally someone else approached J to see what she needed while I was talking to #2, and I turned away to join J. #2 seemed flustered that we were being helped after she told us no one could help us. This tells me that there is a lack of consistency in the way the employees are trained to handle customers. Once we were helped, the representative (#4) gave us a reason, and once I heard it, I knew it wasn't true. Knowing a bit of law myself, I gave an explanation of why that couldn't be. He seemed to realize that my explanation was right as well. I also did some research on Chase's policy and found a general explanation to their actions on our account, and why it wasn't the same in this case and we needed to know why. #4 said he would check with the manager. #4 came back visibly nervous. This gave me no confidence in trusting anything that would come out of his mouth next. He gave another explanation basically saying that it was the bank's discretion (the back office) and tried to find things wrong with the account to justify it. The biggest thing he mentioned was actually because of this branch's previous actions as well. J also used to be a banker herself so she knew this explanation was just fluff. Somehow the meeting ended up with the bank treating us like typical disgruntled customers. I think we were justified in being annoyed. Even though we only spent a half-hour to an hour there, multiple statements from the employees contradicted each other, and we didn't feel welcome from the very start. I understand if #4 didn't know the exact reason why the back office did something, but I would like to talk to someone who actually did know why. Basically, it sounds like this bank has arbitrary discretion over your account and cannot give you a clear reason about why they do the things they do. J has been a customer of Chase for so long, and this is the only branch that has treated her this way. We mentioned that this would lead to us taking out our multiple accounts and any future business elsewhere, and all he could say was I understand. This bank is absolutely unreliable, and I would not recommend anyone waste their time here. Because of this, J and I do not want any business with Chase again. read more

This particular branch is actually pretty good. But Chase OnLine and Customer Service is a total disaster. You can never get through, they keep you on hold forever and then disconnect you. I would never get an account in this bank if i did not have one for years and do not want to go through the hassle of changing banks. read more

Came in to the bank to collect documents needed for a closing. It was around 4pm. There was not 1 person at the teller's station and when I called hello someone said they were coming and took several minutes. A teller came up and pulled up my account and when I explained I need a canceled check she looked confused. She offered me a void check. I explained what a canceled check was, she asked me to hold on while she got the manager. A gentleman came up and again did not know what a canceled check was. I explained I previously purchased cashier's check and attempted to describe what a canceled check was. He too offered me a plain void check. He also said there was no was access prior history of cashier checks and that I needed to defer to my original receipt. I inquired if he was the manager, the teller chimes in he was manager on duty but she will go get her actual manager. The now supposed manager "Wendy" came out. I was relieved thinking I will finally get what is needed. Except to my disappointment, Wendy also offered me a void check. I asked if she knew what a canceled check was, she began to say it's a check that was canceled or voided. At this point I knew this branch is not capable of assisting me any further. This visit took place on 11/10. I strongly urge training for the staff here. They displayed incompetence and it's astounding that 3 different individuals did not have a clue what I was asking for despite several explanations of what was needed. read more

I agree with all these reviews. This is by far the worst bank ever. They refused to provide me with a copy of proof of funds a few months back. They have a notary but the notary can not act as a witness which makes no sense what so ever. read more

My life is ruined. I visited this Branch on April 22 because I needed the bank to fill out an Asset Verification Form. I am applying for affordable housing and the management company sent me the form as part of my application. It's a simple form that asks about account balances etc and for the signature of the bank representative. At the bank, the Relationship Banker who was helping me had never seen my type of form before. He called another department at Chase and he relayed to me that he had to fax the form to Chase's Confirmation Processing Department and he could not fill out the form himself. I asked, "How will I know if my form has been completed and sent to its intended recipient? Will Chase notify me?" He said no and I would have to contact the recipient. Initially, the recipient said they received my form. Yesterday, the recipient tells me they have the form but its blank! I called this Chase branch and the manager happened to pick up. She told me that she's filled out forms like mine before. My form should have been filled out the same day and I should have received a statement from the bank to attach to the document. (So maybe they did send it but the printout got separated?) I told her that's not what happened when I visited. I was patient when I was there and I didn't rush the guy and I never said the bank had to send the form. I told her I wanted to cry. I'm so SAD now. I emailed Chase to voice my complaint as well. Because I was at work and in a rush, I could only give brief details. When a Chase representative replied, they gave me advice that was way off (saying this type of document costs $25). I emailed them back and told them now I'm ANGRY in addition to sad because someone didn't read carefully. They apologized but still twisted the knife by saying they can't help me online. I'm not dumb. Of course they can't help me by email for what I need, and I never asked them to. I had to sacrifice my lunch hour and hope I didn't exceed my break time to visit a Chase bank. (I was told lunch at my job was very good that day, too.) When I visited a Chase in Manhattan, the Relationship Banker filled out the form right away without having to consult another department. Now, my chances of getting affordable housing are greatly affected. I don't know how things can go so wrong. Don't deal with the borough branches if you want anything done. read more

Typical Chase bank located on 14th Ave in the Whitepoint shopping center. Decent sized parking lot. 2 ATM's available.

Staff was friendly but they could do a better job on keeping their vestibule clean of all the ATM receipts. Actually, it's not really the banks' fault, but rather the customer's...I mean there is a garbage can in there for a reason. Other than that it's a rough location parking wise! read more

I had a horrible experience in this bank. I walked in with regular clothes and a very nice gentleman helped me to open an account and than a branch came in because of a past balance issue . She came in said I can not open an account with chase till balance is paid in full and laughed because the account was over 5 years ago. Looked me up and down and looked at me very displeased with my attire I guess. I later went to another chase and was in and off within 20 mins and Left happy. Was very disappointed and felt profiled when chase office told me to directly go to chase and open an account and she made me feel not welcomed and very u professional. This lady is the store manager and it's sad to see her running a store when you have other people smiling looking doing a great job . She refused to help me but another branch made it happen. Ever since I joined this bank when they first opened in this area, they been nothing but very helpful towards my every need. Today was no different. I went in moments before closing and they did not make up some bs excuse how everyone left or they shut down their system. Instead, I was welcomed in and my business was taken cared of.
