Was told you can only use Chrome browser for online banking (I am using Firefox). Ticket was closed as resolved. First of all, that was a response, not a resolution. My counter-response is that Chrome is neither available to me nor desirable. My suggestion that I bank elsewhere appears to be agreeable to them. Side comment: I find that overall, especially in Gig Harbor, the post-COVID customer service attitude seems to be one of utter incompetence and apathy. Everyone rasied their prices and expects tips, but they are slow, unmotivated and unconcerned about customer satisfaction. It certainly seems to be the case in this situation. It's getting old.

Not only do they charge fees to cash checks--even when the check writer is one of their own account holders--but this is the same bank that was caught opening unauthorized accounts for customers without their consent. Charging people for basic services while engaging in fraudulent practices shows a total disregard for ethical banking and customer trust. I wouldn't recommend this bank to anyone. Their priorities are profits, not people.

We got to the credit union, opened an account right on the spot and signed all the docs in a fast and professional manner. The process, I went down to a place in Oregon for a 2011 Victory Cross Roads that I purchased by credit card (points ) came up with a 30 day trip permit and went shopping for the best rate. I come to find out that car loans and motorcycle rates are the same at Harborstone and I couldn't pass that up. I called in and within 1 day I got an approval pending membership. Since the title was coming from Oregon I simply took it in and they did the rest. That simple. Moving my bank accounts (goodbye Chase, it's not Washington Mutual) is our next thing to do. I look forward to working with Harborstone for a very long time.

While on hold (long hold time) the recording boasted their strong commitment to excellent customer service but in fact it is poor and I'm a Private Banking customer at Chase. Another gaff: two months ago I was presented with a 350 page 'Agreement' to sign that was totally one-sided against my interests. I didn't. What kind of business would do that to a good, established customer? 350 pages! Can't even call my bank branch, etc. i complained but no response. They get a one-star. Unfair business tactics (350 page Agreement) and poor service (can't call my branch easily).
