The security guards thinking they are cops harassing and asking inappropriate questions

If an appointment is made perhaps it should actually be an appointment! Allegedly I was to meet with Tas at 2 pm however she was on break (wild ) I don't live near this location and appts are set way in advance . I feel this isn't good business or customer service . My time should be valued just like hers . I'm disappointed. Especially since my local branch said an appointment must be made in order to change accounts :( ... I was upset . Time is important and as I stated I do not live in the area ! Tas let me know she never received a confirmation on my appt so she was unaware ! My mother was misled and mistreated by this Chase bank. Sales person Ernie failed to mention the terms of opening a new bank in regards to the bonus and now after she transferred her money inside the account she no longer is qualified for it. ALSO, Ernie told her that her debit card would be in the mail a month ago, it still has not arrived. She went back to the bank and he admitted he made a mistake and didn't get the debit card sent out. I do not recommend sending your parents into this Chase bank without accompanying them as they are clearly not trust worthy. read more

not efficient on the business side of things. poor communications from a couple of my experiences here. reconsidering my personal banking needs based off this. keep in mind: i only write low ratings to bring awareness, not to bash. my first was delightful but when things go technical, the quality changed. Quality should typically not change even through difficult moments. I call to avoid waiting nonetheless no calls are returned. Upon getting here the person i called wasn't doing anything. Calling typically should help to avoid potential issues/misunderstandings but unfortunately not in this location. There is a banker at this location that completely is unprofessional and unpleasant by the name of Donald. Through his demeanor, the way he conducts/relays/conveys information is disrespectful. It's not what you say, it's how you conduct information that drives a consumer away. I called to confirm the appointment (something very simple), he overcomplicated the process, i gave him my personal information, he didn't answer my questions, places on hold for a couple minutes. its not polite to waste peoples time, theres so many valuable things to do in one day, being treated poorly through conduct, should not be one of them especially when it comes to your banking needs. I genuinely hope corporate is made aware or the person in charge of this branch. these simple things make the world of a difference! read more

Whatever happened to good customer service? I've used this bank for years and now I'm starting to wonder why I keep all my money in one place... Today I was picking up some foreign currency at this location at Hollywood and Vine where I was rudely treated by the bank teller with the pink hair. All I was asking is if there was a restroom that I could use before getting in the car to make the hour drive home. She was brisk and abrupt when I asked such a question... There are so many different ways that she could have handled her response, especially to someone who is five decades older than her. Chase Bank you're not the only game in town and you need to train your employees to treat others with respect and dignity. read more

If going to a bank in Hollywood to get bus fare is a weird thing to do in 2022, then this Chase branch - housed in the Norma Desmond of bank buildings - is the bank for the occasion. Due to poor space usage and tourists (?) camping out for the air conditioning and free wifi, the location is surprisingly cramped and feels much smaller than would appear from the still-splendid exterior. The actual Chase employees I interacted with were perfectly professional. The security guard ensconced in her cubicle at reception was surprisingly cheerful and helpful, while the teller acted as if my $1.75 withdrawal were not a weird request at all when you don't carry cash, left your debit cards at home on the other side of the country, and no other bank where you have an account has a branch in LA. Service was efficient and completely unentertaining - so much so that I spent the rest of my time here photographing the building and the crumbling ruins of the Whispering Angel Fountain in what I guess used to be a courtyard. The lady at the fountain scolding her broken umbrella? I didn't photograph her. Finally, a shout out to Chase (not this branch in particular), whose excellent credit products can fly you round trip across the country and put you up in centrally located hotels in for free. read more

She was not helpful and at one point told me I was wasting her time I've never been told as a client of a bank that I would be wasting their time to ask for replacement card, she was unhelpful and dismissive. Run! Do not walk away, Run from this credit card company. They WILL NOT have your back after years of excellent credit with them. Totally let down by then in filing a dispute. They closed the dispute for "lack of info" after having me send them a letter including everything I told them over the phone and requesting me to send them that info. They closed the dispute the same day they received the letter and then without notifying me that they needed more info, closed the dispute and let the clock run out on my ability to get them more info and reopen the claim. I've found the staff in this branch very helpful, but overall Chase is trying to do everything possible to make their online banking unusable. They force you to receive verification codes on your phone that don't get sent or aren't accepted - for every single browser you use to log in! - and de-activate the older ones that were used in the past. They quit supporting older iOS versions so the phone app would no longer work. And now their site no longer works when you try to download account activity by date range. Face it - they aren't so much trying to enable security as just make it impossible to use their online services. And anything you ask about at the bank branch gets the response, "you need to call this number to do that..." C'mon Chase. You have the resources. Get your shit together! read more

Worst chase bank I have ever been to in my life. The wait is absolutely insane and the team does not communicate with one another. The woman checking ppl in allowed two ppl to go ahead of me with another banker. If you can go anywhere else I would recommend it. The chairs are filthy and look like they haven't been cleaned in years which is just great for a pandemic. The bankers behind the counter are ignorant and they clearly hire anyone with no experience. I asked basic questions the woman had no answer to it and acted as if I was speaking to her in a foreign language. The best part about this location is the security guard. Martin, the Branch Manager of this particular Chase, has impressed me with his "above and beyond" more than anyone I've dealt with in a long time. This guy gets exactly what it takes to make an impossible-seeming situation somehow resolve itself posthaste. After vacillating over changing to another bank - or credit union - for the past year, Martin unwittingly solidified my relationship with Chase in less than two minutes. This is an outstanding Chase branch and I suspect the reason is that it's being led by an understanding, kind, and empathetic gentleman. Chase for life. read more

Whoever is Brian's boss should do a employee evaluation on him immediately. After leaving safety in the middle of a pandemic to go to the local branch to unlock my account as advised by customer support on the phone , Brian takes my ID and says there is no such hold , it must be an issue with my debit card. Mind you I have yet to receive my debit card yet as this account is less than a week old. Brian then says adamantly that there is nothing for him to do on his end even though I repeatedly told him that the customer service people told me someone from my local branch must call them to unlock my account. HE WOULD NOT CALL THEM! Please don't not waste your time at this bank. This is the worse bank location I have been to in my life. You set appointments and still have to wait over an hour to be serviced. There's only 1 banker, Lorena Quartarone, to assist business account holders and she is terrible. She setup my account incorrectly. Almost 3 weeks later and I'm still trying to get things corrected. Do not open an account at chase. Such a long story I wouldn't even know where to start so i will keep it simple. We loved chase for 9 years. Opened up all of our accounts there. My moms, my wifes, my two babies saving accounts and all of our business accounts. Chase shut down all of our accounts for absolutely no reason at all. We were not doing anything wrong or anything illegal. We had 5 business accounts. One being a vending machine company another a simple smoke shop. I will repeat that we never did anything illegal or even had the police upset with us. This does not reflect the employees at the branch. They are very nice and professional. This is a problem with the heartless people at the top. They first shut down 99% of our accounts at the beginning of covid. I have an immune system problem so it was a big problem going to open our accounts back up at another bank. I tried to call anyone I could to see why they canceled our accounts but they would not tell us. We even tried to message the president of the bank. These people have no idea how different life is sometimes and by shutting all of our accounts down it made life difficult to run a business and feed my family!! i love the two-dollar bill. it's my favorite form of currency to hold because it's like walking around with a wallet full of joy to share. whenever i spend one, it almost never fails to elicit a smile or some kind of positive reaction and i like being able to bring that little bit of happiness into every day life. they're also fantastic for all kinds of tipping scenarios, especially at a bar. but they're relatively rare and can be difficult to acquire sometimes, so i was pleasantly surprised when i asked the teller at this chase if the bank had any two-dollar bills i could withdraw and he responded by whipping out this giant stack of them. very impressive. read more

I would never normally write a review for a bank, but I had to stop a moment and give huge compliments to this Chase branch in particular for a few things. I have gone to this bank for about 7 years now, and never thought anything of it. This morning, I witnessed a team member named Byron who was taking care of guests and sanitizing the ATMs and stanchions (ropes) between customers, and making sure everyone had their masks on and staying 6 feet apart. This man showed so much control of the situation with such compassion for several (might I say challenging) people, it made a profound impact on me in contrast to how I have seen other people act. In addition to Byron being a class act and shining example of how to treat others (even when they are being combative), I can't express how nice it was to see the lobby of the bank be clean, with reminders to CHASE those germs away with the sanitizer provided everywhere, they also are the first place I've ever seen to have a separate cup for sanitized vs used pens. Every detail thought of here, and Byron is probably the most kind customer service person I have seen in a long time. Again, I could typically care less to write a review about my bank, but I was overly pleased with what I witnessed this morning on an otherwise uneventful errand. Kudos. read more

Best bank in city ! I use their service for over 6 years, and never had any problem.In my experience, 4 times I had error in online banking. Each time I went to this bank to solve problems. Each time great service was perfect. Especially nice that there are Russian-speaking workers, and that was big help 5 years back when I 1st time tried to resolve problem with paypal error. When I've opened personall account, I got an offer for new credit line. That was good. I used this bank service for : making account changes, opening accounts, resolving problems with paypal errors, foreign check clearing, receiving uncleared ebay payments, changing PIN numbers, help with error in online credit card access, ordering check books, opening business account, loan applications - and always service was great ! And, to have a coffee for free is really nice ;) 2nd year they have this cute service fo customers. read more

I had chase auto buy my car lease back in may ish 2019, long story short since then the title to my car is lost and I have not been able to register my vehicle. I have called chase NUMEROUS times to try and get this resolved. All they do is open up tickets, when that ticket deadline is over they have some reason why it was not done and they have to o-en up a new ticket. Because of this I have been issued a fix it ticket. Chase at this point has thrown up their hands and have pretty much giving up. They don't really seems to care about their clients as long as they get their money. read more

Chase deserves 0 stars. They reorder transactions, I don't understand the logic behind it. I can never keep track of my balance because they don't post all the charges right away. I checked my balance last night (around 11pm after banking hours) and added up all the pending charges. woke up this morning to a different balance due to charges that posted that weren't listed the night before even though they were charges I made 2 days prior!
