It's a shame that a lot of folks seem to be heartless. When Diana cashed a bunch of checks at the bank, she slapped a $10 fee on each one. Just like the banks, it's pretty cold-hearted. This review is of the branch at Wilshire and Hauser in the Miracle Mile area. Went in to deposit checks and $180 in cash. My fault that I switched to a fanny pack (walking 2 dogs from where I live) and forgot to bring my ID. Teller said I could deposit the checks, but not the cash. She AND the bank manager did not recognize me, so would not vouch for me to allow the cash deposit. Of course, I understand, security and all but this all seemed ridiculous. I've been coming here for years monthly, masked and unmasked. This same branch manager has even come over to introduce himself to me and my son previously and always sits off to the side in his glassed in cubicle to oversee everything and everyone. The security guard recognized me but he could not vouch for who I was, only if any of the tellers or the bank manager could and none could. If I didn't have to, I wouldn't bother with this bank. read more

I stopped by this branch to make a quick deposit and it turned into a two hour transaction and visiting another branch. I asked the bank teller if she wanted me to write down the amount to deposit and she said no- I could just tell it to her. When I did tell her the amount she made a mistake so I went to another Chase location on Wishire Boulevard and found out that they do not do deposits at that Branch. This was not a good day for banking with Chase- if you can avoid this location on Pico & San Vicente do it and this location is the only option for you make sure they write everything down and confirm it with them. read more

They have terrible costumer service in this location. I ended up closing my account and move back to Bank Of America. The costumer service is way better in Bank of America that is next door. I do most of my banking via the app or online, but sometimes I would need to visit a branch. Not too long ago I came in to cash a CHASE $2500 check from a client (business owner) and was immediately looked at as if it was a fraud. I never have felt that way before in a bank. The first woman I was working with looked at the screen then left then came back with an older woman who was extremely rude and told me they could not cash my check that day. I immediately looked at her , knowing exactly where she was going with this. I asked her whats the reason? and she said that she just couldn't. All chase banks are horrible to first customers with new accounts. I had deposited a check from my employer and got a receipt letting me know that I wouldn't be able to use my funds until 10 days AFTER it was deposited. I am currently left broke and starving to death! No money for food, to pay bills, etc. I would have understood if I was a child with parents that was being taken care of. But I am an adult with a job and even then I was told that I was not trusted with funds I had placed. Horrible horrible service with all chase accounts. read more

I went in today around 230pm to open an account. I signed in and sat down. Two minutes later Melissa Perez (personal banker) comes out and calls my name. She was pleasant, presentable and I definitely felt at ease. I think it's important to feel comfortable with your bank. I am excited to start my new relationship with Chase. The bank is walking distance from where I live, a lot of parking and quick and friendly service. The place looked clean and everyone looked professional. So I've been banking with chase for almost 8 years now. I never really needed anything major from them but I recently moved to Los Angeles and in order to get a new drivers liscense out here you need a birth certificate. So I submitted for the birth certificate but they want a notarized copy stating it's you. So I went to chase.com it states that If you bank with chase notary on documents is free doesn't state which one. So I come to this location they say I need an appointment not a problem it also has to be a chase document... Um I just checked online and it didn't say that so I left called the actual chase company and they said it does not have to be a chase document. They just don't want to notarize people's documents. I had to go to the general manager from the branch for a stamp and signature that's for customers here! The staff needs to be retrained on notarized policies and also add diversity to this particular branch. There should be more than one ethnicity working here and staff members shouldn't making up there own rules, I'm going to come back but only for the atm, talking to his employees about known facts online through chase is like talking to a box of rocks. They're not the sharpest knives in the drawer. read more
