I am a non account holder, and a friend called and asked if I could help them with a small $100.00 deposit into their account so to help cover rent. This has been my worst banking experience ever. I was part of First Republic and after the acquisition Chase lost over 150 of our employees' financial information. They told me every week that it would be fixed in 3 to 5 business days and promised me over and over again, and now it's been almost 2 months and still no resolution or even an update. I am shocked by the lack of professionalism and accountability, it's just a matter of days until I switch my account to a different bank because of the clear negligence. read more

This Chase Bank is a full service bank on Admiralty in Marina del Rey across from the water. They have a parking lot that you must take a ticket which the bank will validate. There is an outside ATM for your convenience. We have been with this Chase for about 10 years. We have had good service and the tellers have been nice. They even have retirement planning to help you decide how to start saving. I felt they took the same time with me and my small retirement account that they would give others with big accounts. The guy we worked with really knew what he was doing and explained it well. The one negative is their credit card that gives you a percentage of your spending back to you. The problem is it's so very complicated we weren't sure how much would be returned and they don't let you know. We still use Chase for convenience. But we have a credit union where we do other banking as well. read more

A very average Chase Bank location in Marina del Rey. The best things about it are that I have rarely seen it very crowded, so there aren't long lines, and it has great visibility/signage and I think it's the only Chase in Marina del Rey. The not as good things is that there is timed parking with an automated ticket thing and only a 15 minute grace period for ATM customers. often this is enough time, but it also makes me personally sort of panic and constantly check my watch to make sure i don't get charged an exorbitant amount. Another not excellent thing is that the ingress/egress is tricky. i think there's only one entrance off of Admiralty going north. you'd have to do some tricky turns if you were going south on Admiralty. The last thing is that though this place is rarely crowded, there are also rarely available tellers, ironically. the last time i went there was no available, visible teller, and so i sort of stupidly stood there, swaying back and forth trying to see if i could see anyone in the back offices and/or catch someone's attention, clearing my throat, searching for a service bell, etc. the second to last time i was there there was a single teller, but also a single person in line in front of me who was taking forever, and instead of another person coming out to help, i had to wait until he was done doing this incredibly complicated transaction. i should note that most of my activity is done in odd hours so it's possible that this place does get crowded and there are more hands on deck, but just not when i've been there. i think i'm usually there around 12:30 p.m. or like 4:00 pm. read more

My favorite branch. Ali is THE NICEST banker I have ever experienced in my entire life. Yes, he is that awesome. He knew I was having a horrific day with my direct deposit not kicking in today and he was very kind, patient, and acknowledged how the bank process is not always efficient for the customer. I made sure not to take the anger out on him, but questioned my business relationship with Chase. He offered me tea and we chatted and had a great time talking and he was exceptional in ensuring that I opened a new account and made it efficient to setup my direct deposit. He is just professional and flawless. I have never experienced world class service like today and I am beyond impressed because I told him I am expecting to have more money in the upcoming year due to my situation. My experience with Ali shifted my attitude with Chase and I am deciding to deposit my funds here and will be consulting them for investment advice in the near future. He is the coolest banker, made things efficient, simple, and stress free for me. Instead of getting my money next Thursday, I will receive it on Wednesday, still after the New Year, but he made a bad situation become a reasonable situation, which seems fair for me. He really brightened my day and I could see the positive of this situation instead of being angry during the New Year. Best customer service, ever. I moved to Los Angeles and decided to purchase my first home. It was daunting. The first thing I needed to do was talk to my bank, Chase, which I have loved banking with since I first opened my account. The first day I walked into the Admiralty Way location, I was greeted by quite possibly the warmest and most welcoming mortgage broker in the world, Jade Valladares. Jade would be instrumental to my home purchase and I greatly admired for her warmth, professionalism, and invaluable insight. Jade took me through the process of what I would need to to purchase a home. It was effortless because of her patient, clear, and calming demeanor. She also immediately put me in touch with Roderick Swift. Rod became my mortgage banker and between these two at Chase, I would get the best interest rate around and the process would be pleasant and clear. I purchased my house with an outstanding interest rate even my friends envy. When I had to wire transfer a lot of cash to make the first of several down payments, Thelma was there to help aid me. Like Jade, she was warm and clear. She double and triple checked everything. I love people who care that much about each individual customer. When I moved into my house, I got the most beautiful and thoughtful "welcome to your first home" card from Jade. It said "A new place, a new world, where all your dreams can grow". Inside she wrote a personal inscription that couldn't be more relevant to how incredible Jade is as a professional and a good person "One of the things that I love about my job is to see dreams come true. Thank you for letting me be a part of yours." Wow, right? I think I cried thinking that if people like Jade exist, I can be my best self as well. To this day, I still go into the Chase bank on Admiralty because I love the service there. Everyone is kind, professional and seem genuinely happy. On occasion I run into Jade and her big warm hugs and happiness. And she's usually talking to someone else there because she's just so incredibly friendly. I withdrew cash from my account and teller counted the money wrong (short $200) twice prior to trying to hand it to me. I asked her to count it a third time as I thought her count was off. At third count she realized she had made a mistake?! And said "you are right"! It was an unusual experience as I thought tellers should know how to count. I have been banking here for many years. I am writing this to inform people of what not to do. If you receive a check from your family or anybody, DO NOT and I mean to not deposit it in your chase account. Chase will hold the check from you and then after 10 days of holding it will tell you the fraud dept will not release you the funds. But of course the check will clear from the other persons account so chase has the money and will not give it to you. Nobody and I mean nobody will help you. They will argue, and just say no to you regarding the funds. They also will not give you back the check. And they have your money. They want to speak to the person who gave you the check, even when they spoke to my person and heard the word yes, I gave her that money. Then they said can you go to a chase bank and verify. NO!!!! Fist we need to speak to the person now get up and go to chase I said NO! I was livid. Please people go to the bank where the check is from and if you have to pay a fee do it. It's not worth the heart ache dealing with someone in the nyc office or where ever and restricts your account because this person thinks it's fraud. When it 100 percent is not. This person has control of your money won't let you have it all the while the check is cleared and they are bouncing off your funds. Shame on this person to do this to you! And they will tell you NO you can't have your money at all. I am thinking about closing my account. The bank does not care about you at all! Now I am speaking about real checks from family or whoever, not those Nigerian scam checks. Don't ever cash those. Again one person who is mean and controlling desides if you get your money, who do they think they are? Chase will tell you it will clear in 10 days. BS. Just learn from this ok! I wish I New who did this to me. I would write a bad review and post the name on yelp. This can not happen to people. One stupid person should not have control of your money. Zero a disgusting branch and disgusting counter person, who told me he can't cash my Warner Cable Check, because the bank that Time W has is weird and they don't have a contract with this bank. Very nice and clean branch. The problems with this branch are that the lines are usually quite long to see a reprensative. Then the second problem is that this branch requires you to go through a in closed parking lot so if you go in make sure you get validated. Transaction denied. Call customer service. Transaction declined because of fraud protection. I have no problem with fraud protection. I want my money to be safe.
