This review is for the ATM . I made an early morning ATM stop at this branch . The ATM faces PCH so it feels a bit awkward , having to stand with your back to people walking by as well as vehicles on PCH. It is elevated from street level . The ATM itself could use better protection and maintenance. The screen has sun damage . It is an attractive building and has ample parking . read more

Chase bank has been a good financial institution for me and I've had an account there and received great service. This location is in an older building which gives it character and also has safe deposit boxes here. I'm told they aren't opening new boxes however so if you do have one here, think about keeping it unless you absolutely need to change locations. They have plenty of free public parking and it's in a nice location of the Hollywood Riviera. Do your banking and then dine or shop at Trader Joe's nearby. :D read more

Redondo Hollywood Riviera location has gone down hill. Erica needs customer service and sensitivity training, really preferred Amaya (??hope spelling name right?). Erica style and cold touch doesn't work for long time clients. Unfortunately nothing to compare to since rest of branch closed. Separate note, needed to call chase business customer service and was on hold for 3 HOURS. There was no choice as with covid needed to use card to online purchase and pay business items. There was a hold on card for "suspicious activity"--we reported nothing as our card has been with us and no issues on our end. Again hassle factor, not sure if worth headache and huge waste of time read more

Convenient location, plenty of parking. Dry cleaner, Albertson's and resturants all within walking distance. Never have to wait more than 5 minutes, I usually ddrop in on Friday or Saturday before lunch time. Service is always superb. I don't want to get the staff in trouble, but I intentionally visit this branch because they don't try to up-sell me financial products that I don't need or get into more credit card debts. On a side note, I almost closed my accounts with Chase because of up-selling tactic I experienced at the Pasadena branch (Colorado/Lake, across from Bank of America). read more

I will take this place over any other Chase in the South Bay. The employees are genuine and really do seem glad to help you, without being fake. My wife and I have availed ourselves of their services many times, and have always left feeling like we were treated with respect, and our opinions valued. Can I say that about other branches? Certainly not most of them... Maybe it's the area, maybe it's the proximity of the ocean, but whatever makes the atmosphere happen, I'm glad that this is my local bank! read more

I have been banking at this Chase Bank for over 20 years now and it remains to be the best branch in the South Bay in my opinion. Everyone is always friendly here and they take the time to get to know their clients. I had a particularly great meeting this past weekend with Abe to open new business checking and savings accounts. Abe made the transition from an existing business account to a new one so smooth and even helped me link up all my phone apps to the new account....and helped me beyond measure. He drives a long commute every day to work at this branch and they are lucky to have him. I remain a loyal Chase Bank client and you guys are the best! read more

I have had a Chase visa for a number of years but I am canceling and will never do business with them again. Three days before I was to leave on a month-long trip to Europe, they arbitrarily sent out a new card even though mine doesn't expire for 26 months, rendering my current card inactive. I called, advised I had never received that card and they said they would rush another one. It was promised to come the morning before my trip and it never arrived. I called and asked for a supervisor who told me the only thing she could do would be send a card to a hotel. Because I will be traveling around and she could not guarantee the day the card would arrive, that was not an option. She told me it was the only option, apologized for the inconvenience and hung up on me! This is totally unacceptable behavior all around. read more

What's the deal with Yelpin' a bank you say? It's the little things that make the difference at my local branch of this mega-multinational. - 1 Star - No drive through ATM. Ya gotta leap out. Ya gotta go in the little lobby-ette. + 1 Star - Parking. Lots of it and easy in/out. + 1 Star - My personal banker. I love that I can call and get the wonderful Ivan on the phone and that he takes care of whatever stupidity I did to my account (or that Chase did to my account). The bummer is that Ivan is the only thing that I really like about Chase as an institution. Also his boss was very nice when I met him - I think his name is Sebastian. Nice man. - 1 Star - Fees and the like. I have an account at another major bank (in fact, there is a branch right across the street...) and they don't charge as much for my account. - 1 Star - Holiday spirit. It's a lousy policy that they won't let the employees decorate. For ANY holiday :( Kind of bland. - 1 Star - Tellers. I hate to be a bitch, but the girl tellers here are always socializing with each other and don't seem to be to thrilled to serve me. Maybe if they were allowed to decorate they'd be more... attentive? All in all, if you have to bank with this institution, this location is ok and the personal banker is great. read more

I was here Saturday Dec 2nd,2017 at 12:45pm. I was making a deposit into the ATM in the front lobby when the machine ate all my cash and my check. The ATM wouldn't stop binging at me until Beverly Echeverria one of the relationship bankers came out. Beverly told me that the ATM was SUPPOSED to be fixed...but told me it was having problems with deposits. I asked her if they knew the machine was not accepting deposits, why did they not have a sign out there? Anyway, she took me inside and gave me a claim # and told me hopefully my money will be on my account within 12-48hours!! I told her that this was unacceptable and that I was very upset! Beverly then asked me a bunch of PERSONAL questions as she raised her voice at me. Saying " why do you need the money so fast anyway?!" and then I explained to her I had to pay rent. I also explained that if i didn't have my rent in on time I would be changed a late fee. She then asked me How I pay for my rent, and then asked me why I was depositing the money I needed for rent. How dare she attack me in such an immature, unprofessional way! I am very upset with how I was treated at this branch by Beverly and with how she handled the situation.It was COMPLETELY unprofessional and inappropriate of her to ask me these questions and raise her voice at me; especially since i have been a member with Chase for so long. If you are going to be working with people and be a "relationship banker" you need to know how to handle and deal with clients of all kinds.Unfortunately, Beverley does not know how to do that. The new bank on the corner of Torrance and Pacific Coast Hwy. in Redondo Beach. I could only vouch for two people who helped me are nice and loved accepting my money as to deposit it to open a new account. I have to say first the rating I gave and stand firm is for the corporation. This bank has MAJOR SECURITY ISSUES with other people stealing your account information and taking your money. This is why I threw in the towel and pulled out my money in the first place. I came back because I was getting large checks in (not that large) but $5,000 and $10,000. and even though it was in US funds and a certified bank check being from Canada they STILL JUST PUT IT IN my account and no delay for the next day it was all available. As for Union Bank and Wells Fargo having a history of over 15 years and with a mortgage with Wells and over 20years checking history both WANTED TO CHARGE ME $100 plus hold the check for two weeks for investigations... that's their standard practice.... so CHASE is a winner on this... BUT to cement the rating I needed a bank transfer from MY CHASE to a friends CHASE account the next day. Seems simple....costs $25 BUCKS... but that's NOT the beef... I was on the computer and on the phone with the CHASE ONLINE SUPERVISOR to make sure it went through.. just $3,000, had over 10,000 in account.... week day... no problem... at the end of the transfer she was online with me and it went through... I told the person to relax all is going to be fine. My friend called me and said her business accounts are being shut down, the money didn't go through. She made small dispursements and they all were NSF. Anyway she was furious. What happened .... the transfer got stopped by Chase security on the east coast and put a hold on it until I was to identify that I am who I am in transfiring the money. HOW STUPID is that when I already made all the necessary security questions on the computer and talked with the supervisor and went through her questioning....CHASE SAID IT WAS A MISTAKE...I told them they should have contacted me either email or phone. ... they said they did.... I said yes THEY DID BUT ON THE DAY I WAS TALKING TO THE SECURITY OF CHASE 3 DAYS LATER...He said well... CHASE IS IMPROVING EVERYDAY TO KEEP YOUR FUNDS SECURE...WE ARE ONLY TRYING TO PROTECT YOU... I SAID THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO DO IT BY RESTRICTING THE USE OF MY FUNDS ONCE I AM CLEARED OF SECURITY. YOU SHOULD NOT SAY IT'S NEXT DAY TRANSFER BUT 3 -4 DAYS. He said happily, I will refund your $25.00. read more
