Mary the branch manager was very rude and gave us a very hard time to cash our check. Had us waiting over 40 minutes to triple "verify" a check made out to us. They had to call the owner of the check (our client) to make sure she wrote the check, and our client advised us this has never happened and was confused as to why they were giving us a hard time. They were "trying" to get a hold of our client, but couldn't. When we asked why they couldn't cash our check, Mary was very rude and yelled at us saying "i'm not trying to keep your money" "this check only gets cashed if i say so because i'm the manager" walked away in annoyance, shook her head, and tossed her phone on her desk. Very unprofessional all because we asked a simple question. Only then did she finally ask for our client's phone number, asked what we did for her and where she lives. Playing 21 questions. Friends folks. When my wife and I needed to sit down with a Chase rep they been nothing but helpful. I especially appreciate the two (now one) ATM machines in the lobby. Probably the only ATM that dispenses one dollar bills. However I was a bit dismayed upon my last visit. They removed one of the two machines in the lobby. Last time the only ATM wasn't even working. Please bring back the other ATM so we have a better chance expediting our banking experience. read more

Bad customer service. Staff is dismissive and lazy. You get more professional service from McDonalds employees. Long lines for service coupled with that "we can't" attitude guarantees, a bad banking experience for all. Years ago when they had a branch at Sepulveda and Ventura, it was quite the opposite. One of my favorite Chase locations. It has a small parking lot with entrances on both Ventura and Noble. There are multiple ATMs: 2 outside and 2 inside. Because of the busy foot traffic in and out of the bank, Chase employees in the past have been showing customers how to use the automated tellers for a majority of their banking needs. The staff at this location is friendly and quick. There are a few other Chase locations along Ventura, but this is one of my easiest ones to go to. Due to COVID-19, a few Chase locations have been closed except for their ATMs, however this branch remains entirely open to the public. read more

Today, Stephanie abruptly walked away when I tried to get help. She told me to go to a teller and make an appointment. I did this. The teller told me that she couldn't make appointments, that she would give a note to Stephanie who might call me back. Too difficult to get help here. Someone from Chase please read this. I can't explain how unhappy this experience has been. Below is a recap of how this branch is fraudulently refusing to honor a $225 promotion. After years of getting promotional letters from Chase in the mail, I finally decided to open up a checking account and capitalize on the free $225, before holiday shopping. That is what I said, word for word, when Stephanie (Private Client Banker) asked me, "what brings you in?" After weeks of not seeing the promotional credit in my account I follow up and find out that no promotion was ever applied to my account on a technicality (that technicality being Stephanie never asked me to physically show her the code that was sitting right on my phone and that I had mentioned when I first sat down). The rep that I spoke with on the phone was very helpful, saying, "no problem we'll get that cleared up for you," and applies a code retroactively. Later I get a message on my app saying that Stephanie denied the application of the new code. I ask to escalate the issue to the Branch Manager (Mary) who makes 3 very unprofessional points: (1) "I've been working with Stephanie for 13 years..." essentially implying that what I am saying is fabricated. (2) "This sort of thing happens all the time..." (3) "There is nothing I can do because the promotion code has expired"... which is only the case now because I have been dealing with this for weeks (I set up my account in Nov 2021). When I respond to her last point by saying, "I already spoke with a rep on the phone who just needs you to sign off on it," she responds flustered and very aggressively tells me that she is going to escalate the issue further and ends the call. I am not someone who writes reviews often, especially negative ones, but I feel so helpless and taken advantage of. This is a promotion that Chase has been running for years, and I'm just trying to receive what was promised. I was so confused by the whole situation, especially as to why I was being met with such confrontation. I later found out from a phone rep that those promotions come out of the branch's pocket, and then the picture became a bit clearer. Still unresolved but will absolutely be following up. read more

I have been a Chase customer for many years now, this branch, is not only is my least favorite, I will not be doing any more banking there from now on!! The manager very rude, and unfriendly, as this Branch is poorly run!!! Having been a Chase customer for many years now, I have had the opportunity to visit many branches, The one in Beverly Hills and La Cienega, you cant compare to this branch, from upper management to employees! The Sunset strip branch excellent until they recently closed that branch. The branch at Ventura Blvd and Noble, night and day difference. In any business it starts at the top, because of this Manager the employees feed off off it, being rude, and short, and looking like they dont really want to be there! They have taken on her attitude towards clients. Suggestion maybe they all be sent to these other branches within the Chase family, to be trained in customer relations!! I started with chase before they they bought over Washington Mutual. I go to this branch for my banking because it's one block away from my house. On one Saturday I took my mom to set up a checking account. After waiting for 15 minutes the banker approached us saying we need to make an appointment for another day because it was 15 minutes before closing and she needs at least 30 minutes to set up an account. I am a banker myself and it's never acceptable to treat customers this way. If a customer walks in to my branch one minute before closing I will still make them feel welcome and provide excellent service. Better stop chatting with your coworkers when there are customers waiting and actually work. Will not go back there for more business. read more

I have been a Chase CPC client for many years and brought lot of money to this bank. I realized that someone forged my check for $400.00 and contacted Chase immediately. I was informed I only had time thirty days post receiving my statements and I informing them about someone using my checks. Apparently, Chase is the only bank that protects your asset only for 30 days after you receive your statements so if you are traveling and don't receive your statement via mail you can loose your entire asset. Other banks have 90 days rules. Years ago same thing happened with BA and I had no stress as they refunded my entire asset but I went under lot of stress with Chase. If someone forges you checks (which can easily be done) you can loose my entire asset. Just giving you the warning. I am moving my entire assets away from Chase immediately even though I like the Sherman Oaks staff but being a Chase CPC client not only did not bring me anything but also made me loose money. read more
