My mother passed away last year in April. She had a safety deposit box that I and a sister were signed on to. Arrived at the bank to inventory the contents and was told that access was restricted. Was told we needed to communicate with the 'home office' and send in the Death Certificate. The frustrating part was that we had already sent the death certificate in and had confirmation that it had been received months earlier. Managers at the location appear to have no authority. They also need better customer relations training. Issue was resolved 1st thing Monday morning, but everything feels like a hassle when dealing with an actual location. read more

I had to go into this bank the other day because the woman I work for who is within days of dying from cancer, was convinced by a scammer on the telephone that he would lose his job if she didnt grant him computer access and then go to her bank to make a transaction. Im a caregiver and she was a lifelong nun- and truly believed she needed to put on a business suit to go to her bank and do some sort of transfer. I'd driven her to the bank so I knew which branch she used. The younger woman at the window (beautiful young lady of color with a really cute apple watch and lovely manicured nails) LISTENED to me and took notes as I explained that shortly - a cancer patient would hobble into the bank with an unusual request of some sort. I was giving my boss privacy so I didnt know the depth or details and she was "terrified" to share any details about why she needed to go to the bank BUT that she must find her nicest business suit to wear there. My boss repeated " I Cant tell anyone, I cant even tell YOU why I need to go to the bank" The teller allowed me to leave the woman's name and she took my name and number and I felt SO RELIEVED to be taken seriously about what was happening. The teller empathically LISTENED. She took notes and let me know she'd look out. When I went to teh parking lot, a woman said she overheard me and told that the "Best Buy/Geek Squad Scam" was a big one right now and she begged me to call my bosses family. I did end up calling her brother (a lawyer) and she never went to the bank and she froze her accounts. BUT I still think that the bank teller deserves a HUGE thank you because she cared, and she listened and she was professional and amazing. BEST LOCATION / GREAT SERVICE Not even my personal bank. My GF's, and also went into this branch several times to close some associated business bank accounts. But I have to tell you, if I were to switch banks...I would make this my home branch. Extended Saturday hours (a full day), and super pro / super nice / and super knowledgable. It is great that Wells Fargo believes in employing diverse cultures HOWEVER I don't want to deal with the attitude and entitlement that comes with. This location is FULL OF ATTITUDE. When I first moved back to LA, I opened an account at Wells Fargo. Within a few months, I was fed up with their terrible customer service and insane fees. One day I walked in, told them to close my account and give me all my money (just like in the movies!) I switched to WAMU, which became Chase, and have been happy ever since. I was reminded again why I hate Wells Fargo so much. Recently had to cash a client's check. I've cashed checks at Wells Fargo before. Never had a problem. Until now. When I got to the teller's window, I told her that I didn't have an account at Well's Fargo and needed to cash a check. I presented the check and my ID. She asked me to swipe my card. I asked, 'what card?' She said, 'your ATM card.' I said, 'I already told you I don't have an account here.' She stood and stared at me for a bit, looking totally confused. I told her I'd cashed checks at Wells Fargo before, and they only asked for my driver's license. Which I'd already given her. She asked for a second form of ID. I gave it to her. She then asked for my thumb print. I told her when I'd cashed checks at their Valencia branch, they never asked for a second form of ID or a fingerprint. She told me it was their policy. I said, well it must be a new policy, because I'd never been given such a hard time trying to cash a check. She called over a manager. They whispered for a bit. Looked at me. Looked at the check. Looked at my ID. The manager said she had to call and verify the check. I asked, 'Who do you need to call? My client?' She said yes. I said, 'Why would you need to do that? I've cashed his checks before and you've never had to call.' She said it was policy and asked me to step away from the teller window. I was starting to feel like a criminal. I said I needed to text him to let him know they were calling so he would pick up. I also told them they'd need to call his cell, since he wasn't at home. The manager, very rudely, told me, 'I'm not going to call a number YOU give me. We will call the number we have on file.' I told her that I knew that. But they have several numbers on file for him and just wanted to make sure they called the right one so they could reach him. I was starting to feel like someone was playing a joke on me. Maybe one of my friends had faxed them a flyer with my face on it and printed in big letters 'DO NOT CASH CHECKS FOR THIS PERSON. WANTED FOR CHECK FRAUD.' My client texted me back and said he'd verified the check with the bank. The manager came over and directed me back to the same teller to finish my transaction. I realized this teller was in training and had NO IDEA what she was doing. She kept calling over a manager to help her. By this point, I was so frustrated and angry with the way I'd been treated, I asked if the manager could just help me to speed up the process. She said no. Of course. I told her I didn't appreciate being made to feel like a criminal, and that I'd never been treated so poorly by bank staff before. She said nothing. Big shock. Hopefully, I won't need to do business with Wells Fargo again any time soon. But if I do, hell will freeze over before I go back to this branch. read more

WARNING!!!-Let me be clear-the people at this branch are lovely! Nothing but Love-though very $$$$$ eyeglasses were stolen there. My PROBLEM is with WELLS FARGO in general-THEY are THIEVES! Robbers! In March of 2020, my Wells Visa Credit card was hacked-Wells called with "suspicious activity" noticed! I explained that I was in Valencia, Ca getting my hair styled-NOT Best Buy, or pants, or Target, etc. The fraud was over $3000!!!!!! I told them I have PROOF of where I was, and would go with the police and Wells to Prove this! I HAD a LOT of $$$ in Wells-now removed! The PROPER response should be "Don't Worry-not Your fault-We'll handle it!!!" Instead...1.25 YEARS later, they are still opening/closing the case! ENOUGH!!! Wells Fargo is NO DIFFERENT than being held up in the street by a robber with a gun!!!!!! I love this bank. Probably the only bank I can say that about. The customer service is excellent, the staff members are very friendly and personable and most of all they are willing to help! I gladly recommend everyone to bank at Wells Fargo based on the positive experiences I've had especially this one! I originally opened my account at Wells Fargo in frustration with my former bank Chase (it was better when it was Washington Mutual! And I'm not saying that because I worked there!). Long story short I had was on my lunch break and had just closed out my accounts with Chase because of the ridicules fees they were charging me, when I walked in I really didn't care to be social, I just needed the account. I briefly explained my frustration to the New Account Representative, mainly because I did not want to have a similar experience with the and I was very adamant about knowing what fees if any I would be charged. They opened up my account and were very professional and took into consideration that I was on my hour lunch break. I've never had problems with them. I had an issue arise where my Property Management lost my rent check and asked me to cancel out the original Cashier's Check and reissue it. There was a bank fee for this of $30, but the representative was very informative and walked me through an entire stressful situation. They even went above and beyond to provide me with additional documentation so that I can contact my property management company and request them to discount the fee I had to pay for their mishandling of the check. I'm a regular at the branch, the tellers made a mental note and call me by name, which in my situation it's definitely going above and beyond because I go by my middle name, and sure enough when they pull up my account information my first name and middle initial populate. They have GREAT customer service. I honestly do not dread going to the bank. If you looking for a new bank I highly recommend Wells Fargo. They have different account types. Some have monthly fees but they are minimal, I pay $5 a month and get unlimited cashier checks and money orders etc. They have AMT's conveniently located on both sides of the branch, lot parking and a valet attendant who's just as friendly! read more

I am Wells Fargo's biggest fan. I have had nothing but helpful and sincere customer service since I switched from Bank of America. -I have had a much easier time resolving problems. -Whenever I've brought fees upon myself they have been less than what I got at BofA. -I got an electronic fraud alert on my account and when I called the Wells Fargo number I was immediately connected with a real live person who explained the situation to me and the measures being taken to remedy it. (And on top of the clear description of the situation & process to fix it, the person helping me was very friendly, down to earth and easy to talk to. And I usually hate talking on the phone.) That is just Wells Fargo in general. At this specific location I have been even MORE blown away with the incredible service. I feel like royalty every time I walk in the door. They are quick to help, always smiling, easy to talk to and going above and beyond with small gestures like offering me a bottle of water or some coffee. I always pass by this location iWF is my personal bank and I go inside the lady that attended me looked like she hated life. Very bold to answer I went in with a positive attitude try to withdrawal money to pay my employees and they asked me for verification questions asked me a lot of questions and to make matters worse they had to call for an approval of a loan that had nothing to do with my transaction. The guy who help me look new and he was going around the questions I keep asking. Very unprofessional of him and this branch sucks. There is always free parking in the back and hardly ever a line. The branch manager has helped me several times in person and on the phone. Her name is Ariga Hacopian. Worst branch ever. It took months and a trip to a different branch to take care of a mistake on their end. The funny thing is, when I first walked in on 8/20/12 to deal with the issue, there was a very upset woman one desk over. She was near tears (of frustration) and was closing her account.
