I have never had so many problems with a bank before. Ever. I'm closing all my business and personal accounts and will never do business with them again. I waited 2 hours inside the bank just trying to change an error they made, it should have been done in minutes instead took hours. Only to find out later in the day absolutely nothing changed and I have to go back in the bank again!!! I urge you all to not do any business with them. Totally Incompetent. Not just the employees but their online system is horrible that even an over the phone employee acknowledged it saying they are always having issues. This is just one of many dealings I've had with them that just never seem to get fixed. It's laughable and unbelievable at the same time. You've been "officially" warned. I will never go back to this branch and I will tell you why right now I went to pull money out of my savings account that I share with my dad. The teller notice that my last name had changed due to my divorce he told me they could get changed in five minutes there was someone available. I had informed them that I have my daughter out in the car getting ready to go. They said it would only take five minutes. The girl was ready. They take me over to the young lady's desk I wish I remember the name Because she was fake as all heck. She looks at ID and everything else could've had it done in the time that she took just a screw around with her computer but instead she goes oh I'm sorry I can't help you but if you wait 25 minutes another teller can my appointment just walked in. I usually use the drive thru ATM. TODAY, due to maintenance, I had to use the walk up ATM. IT WAS FILTHY. Not just dusty, but dirty, grimy, with stuff stuck on the screen where you make your selections. I looked around the whole area and it is filthy--all the ATMs are in this condition. I think management can do better for its customers. I won't go back to the walkup ATMs at this branch. In addition, the transactions are sluggish. I thought it was frozen several times. read more

I can't believe the lack of customer service here. I came in to get something signed by a notary. It would have taken 5 or ten minutes. They told me the notary was booked until the following day. So I booked the appointment for 9am the next day. So I show up at 9am on the day of the appointment. There is no one to greet customers and no where to check in. I am standing in the middle of the lobby wondering if I need to get in line. Finally someone comes to tell me that the notary will be with me soon--only to come back a second later to tell me that SHE thought the appointment was for 9:30am and not 9am. Seriously though. I just made the appointment the day before. I was told 9am. So I waited. It still is cheaper than going to the UPS store I guess. But this is frustrating. It is as if they do not believe my time is valuable, too. If I could switch banks I would. I may still... I'm thinking about it. read more

Long story short , needed a debit carb linked to a certain account. Was assured card being delivered was for account I asked for. Nope , I pay for the express delivery and is linked to wrong account. The Chase bank at 6623 Pacific Ave, Stockton, CA falls short in providing Customer Service. In the last month, I went in THREE TIMES to ask for my Safe Deposit Box lock to be changed and THREE TIMES with three different reps, was I promised a call back to set up a date to change the lock... NOT ONE OF THE THREE REPS CALLED BACK! I have important documents to store away and can not because of the lack of concern and follow up this Chase Bank employees have displayed. However, the location is convenient and that is probably why people flock here like pigeons. The tellers are for the most part nice, but they are a hit or miss. First to yelp?!?! SCORE! Living in my part of Stockton, I have 3 choices of WaMu locations. Hammer Lane, W. March Lane, and this one. After working 17 hours last night, commuting home, all I wanted was a pedicure and a quick visit to the bank. The pedicure was a major score... I was the first customer of the day. But a quick visit to a WaMu is a roll of the dice. This location is finicky. If you show up before 10:30, you will get through a short line in minutes. But show up after 11:00am, and you might as well and pack your lunch. The lady that helped me today was sweet... I lost my ATM card and needed some weekend dough. Enough for a hooker, some pretzels and a bag of dope. JUST KIDDING... just making sure you're still reading. She gave me a print out of the recent activity on my card and to my pure joy, nothing suspicious. AND I got some brand spanking new bills. Parking is sometimes tight... it share a lot with Chili's, and I think a wireless retailer. There isn't a drive thru... but there is an ATM right outside the main entrance and a kiosk on the other side of the parking lot with 2 ATMs with wider parking spaces. read more

I miss the days of Washington Mutual. This Chase location is in the heart of Stockton...right across the street from Delta College and right next door to Sherwood Mall. It sits on the corner of Robinhood Drive and Pacific Avenue. My first issue with this location is the parking. Parking is atrocious here. There might be 15 or 20 spots for one side of Chili's, the bank and a couple other stores including the At&t store around the building corner. After you navigate the parking situation the ATM setup is really strange. They have an ATM machine just to the left of the front door and then they have an ATM wayyyy on the other side of the parking lot. When they only had one machine the line used to get way long so this is somewhat of an improvement. This was done before the switch over to Chase from WaMu so it was a WaMu decision to put in the second separate ATM machine. My main issue for this location is the customer service. Even though I do not use Chase anymore for my personal banking I still have relatives and people I know who use Chase and I find myself in here from time to time. Back when I did have a Chase account I was having issues with my account and was considering closing my account and only using my Bank of America account so I stopped by to talk to someone at the branch. An employee who was nice helped me and tried to figure out what was going on with my account and PROMISED he would get back to me later in the day if not the next day by the latest. I never heard from him. Many times when I am in here doing banking they have less than half of the available teller windows full with someone working them and the line is long and takes 10-15 minutes to navigate through. Where are all the tellers? Sometimes someone would come out of the back and ask if there was anyone they could help with just a deposit...why didn't that person actually help everyone else too and get the line moving? That seems to be the issue here at this Chase location...they have good intentions but do a poor job on execution. :0) read more

After a 30 min wait I walked out of the office That i was asked to sit and wait for someone. I was told that my situation was going to be a 2 minute fix . I visited the Chase next door to Rio Cafe before grabbing dinner. In a haste I walked in at 6pm and didn't realize they were short of closing. Christian was kind enough to help me make my deposit. He was friendly and kind. I apologized a few times for coming in at the last minute. Christian reassured me they weren't closed just yet. He even gave my baby a cute coloring book. My day started rather rough. I thought my business bank account had been compromised. I went to the branch on March Lane near Brookside and checked in. I told the gentleman what I needed and he said he had a client ahead of me and that it would be an hour process. I said no problem I can wait. This was 4:30 pm on a Friday. A half an hour later a woman came to me and said I will have to make an appointment on Monday because they didn't have any business bankers in the office. I was NOT happy. Why did the other guy tell me no problem. I told him it was a business account. Did he dip out the back and go home? I called the Pacific branch.....and Susie answered and I told her of my problem. She convinced me to drive across town and come to her branch. It was so nice to have someone so willing to help me. I was feeling lost and frustrated until she kindly encouraged me to come into the branch. Get this part........Business banking isn't even her specialty!!! Yet she was willing to help. Most people would say "that's not my department" but not her! She went above and beyond for me. She started to address my needs while the business banker was still assisting another client. Very soon after Susie started assisting me he popped into her office. I explained my issue and he was able to offer a suggestion that was 100% correct. I sat down at their waiting area to wait for a banker. I was there for about 20 minutes before somebody approached me to ask me what I needed. When they heard my business there, I was notified that I needed to schedule time with a banker. There were no instructions in the waiting area. If the banker did not come out to ask, I would have waited for a couple more minutes. They used to have a signup sheet to talk to a banker. I guess that changed. Has anyone ever wondered why there are like 10+ windows at any given bank, but then there will only be 3, maybe 4, tellers working at a time? How is that efficient? I mean really now, what are the other windows for? And what about those other tellers wandering around in the back trying to look busy? Sometimes, I just want to scream, "Open a window and help me damn it!" But then I remember that erratic behavior in a bank isn't well accepted... Anyway, I've been banking with Wamu for as long as I can remember. This particular location is located in the middle of Pacific Avenue, so it's really convenient to stop by whenever I'm out running errands. Parking can be somewhat hectic since this bank shares a lot with Chili's Bar & Grill next door. Like all banks, busy times begin after 4P, and especially on Fridays when people get paid. But if you're just stopping by the ATM, there is one located right outside, and another one towards the North side of the shopping center. The tellers aren't very friendly, but they're not rude either. The last couple times I've been in, a certain teller that helped me out was polite, but not very professional. Her acrylic nails were at least 3 inches long and polished lime green and hot pink. Yea, not very aesthetically pleasing while watching bills being counted out for you. But I guess when it comes to money, business is business and I'm just fine with that. 3 Stars for the 3 tellers that work among the 10 windows inside! read more

Always busy and slow. The teller is usually nice as Chase does a great job of hiring good people but being nice does not help my errands get done any faster. In a larger issue customer service seems lacking across the board. I have seen a lot of turnover in bank employees at various locations and in light of the financial meltdown this is not very encouraging. That being said, Chase is probably considered Too Big to Fail so this is the bank to stash away a nest egg, just dont expect a big dividend :( read more

My husband came here to cash his check, and the teller told him because it was a weekend he could not cash his check, he can only deposit it and wait till the check clear. Till then he can only get 200 dollars and wait, now this is a state check, and he has prior checks cashed previously. So he didn't cash it instead he gave it to me to cash I go to the other chase on March Ln, cash the check no problems no questions asked no nothing and I did mention that they wouldn't cash his check at the other location. Now how couldn't my husband cash his OWN check, and I cashed it no problem. Staff is always friendly. Love this bank. This location tends to get a little busy so it can be a little bit of a wait to see a teller or banker. There are also ATM outside if you won't want to wait in line. The parking area is shared with Chill's restaurant so it can be somewhat of a pain to park the car to run inside. read more

I got to admit, Chase bank is actually pretty awesome. I liked it when I banked there. They just have too many dang fees, so I left. There's a fee for everything there. They almost want to charge you just for walking in. Then again, the small banks start adding fees too once they start growing. That has been my experience. I still recommend going to the smaller banks like credit unions instead of these large ones so they can grow and all compete against each other.
