I've been with Chase Bank for decades and haven't had any issues. Friendly and helpful service each time I need something.

When I lived in Sulphur, I decided to get a Chase bank account. I would not recommend this to anyone. The tellers that were there were not helpful. They would pretend to be, but they would not accurately explain anything to you, nor did they seem to even know what I was talking about. Working as a bank teller now, I can say I am shocked how often I got the go around and people that had no clue. They didn't understand what account I had, they tried changing it and gave me the wrong info. They were just so clueless. I also had credit problems later on and this is more aimed towards the corporate rather than this branch as I dealt with it on the phone and they would not work any payment plans out with me or take any money unless I made the whole payment (which I did once I saved it up). Chase also upped the interest on my parents' loan with no warnings even though they never had a late payment and consistently paid on time every month. This review applies to Chase Bank in general, not a specific location. Chase has a so called smart chip in it's debit/credit cards which facilitates unauthorized use with no fail-safe security measures in place. If my card is lost or stolen, anyone can use it in the "dip" option at stores or other locations. This option to pay requires NO pin, signature or ID! Looks like Chase, and any other banking institute with "smart chip" cards, have taken a giant step backwards and we consumers are left highly vulnerable. When I contacted customer service I was told I could not get a new card without the chip, My only recourse is to report an unauthorized charge within ten days of the transaction. My card should be completely useless to a thief not MORE accessible! read more
