Joshua is very nice, polite, knowledgeable and caring. He is a Chase private client advisor for investments. My husband and I started banking at Chase when it was Washington Mutual. However, my husband's retirement IRA is with JP Morgan, he passed away last year. I have been trying to get my husbands IRA rolled over to my name, which I need to do and this is per Chase. It's been one thing after another. I am the beneficiary. It was suppose to be done by yesterday but guess what!!!! It's been nothing but issues with Chase since my husband passed. I had an appointment and they took a walk in before me. That went in way into my appointment. So I sat there for half an hour and got up to ask and they said a couple more minutes. I asked 5 10? He said I really couldn't say. That's very rude an unprofessional keep in mind I had came in 3 days ago and they refused to see me and forced me to make an appointment and this guy walked in with no appointment and was seated. This is probably the worst Chase branch I have ever been to. They told us that their system was down so they couldn't open up any new accounts or even create joint ones. So we headed on over to the one on Brand which was so much better and informed us that their system is all connected and if it was working at Brand it should work there on Foothill. The gentleman who helped us at Brand called the store and asked them why their system wasn't working when theirs was and all you heard over the phone was stumbled words of excuses. I understand wanting to go home, but lying and saying your system does not work to turn away people is not the way to do it. Not the first time I've had a terrible experience at this branch, but I'm sure because of the people who work in this area - nothing will be done. Update: Tried to order foreign currency from this branch. I asked the girl if I could order the British Pound. She then told me they don't offer it. Confused I asked why because all major branches provide the British Pound. She then explains to me they only carry the "British Pound Sterling". THIS CHASE IS A FREAKING JOKE This branch is HORRIBLE and dumb as hell: They just permanently closed 8 of their previously 11 teller windows to instead put in the new fancy large-touchscreen ATMs. The machines are nice but the line is now ALWAYS RIDICULOUSLY LONG because no one in this community wants or even knows how to use these new machines. If you need to speak to a teller expect at least a 30 minute wait. There is also no cell reception in the branch so you can't even use your time to be productive while waiting, it is a complete waste of time! MAYBE if they at least put in free public wifi for their customers it wouldn't be so bad. I cannot believe how short-sighted, selfish, and CHEAP this bank is. TIME IS MONEY. I just came back from a 30 min wait to be told to go online and take care of your bank issues there it's faster and more convenient. Why am I going to a bank that doesn't want customers to come in and ask questions. This bank has the worst customer service ever Monica wouldn't listen to my complaint she just kept referring me to the Internet. She said if I print out paperwork it will cost you 6$ a sheet. I told her to charge my account but she still insisted on referring me to the Internet. Another manager came by and she told him she was handling me, so he just gave me a look and walked away. I will be removing my account and go back to a credit union where they know my name and care about their customers. Please have a talk with Monica. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! This branch USED to have very polite staff and the woman manager was extremely nice. Always greeting and talking to customers. That all changed a few months back when someone got the bright idea to replace 99% of their staff with ATM machines! The only thing a Machine can do is deposit a check (into your own account) withdrawal funds, check funds. You can not Open a account, perform Merchant duties, get change for businesses, replacement cards etc...This all has to be done by customer service, which they have let go nearly all employees at this branch. There is a new manager, Oscar Roque, who has THE WORST ATTITUDE. He is rude, abrupt and could care less about your concerns. There is only 1-2 tellers at any time and NO merchant line. There is always a LONG LONG line as the vast majority of people that come to this branch want to cash checks. The tellers get yelled at and attitude from the customers that are irate from waiting forever in lines. All you have to do is look at the Yelp reviews and one can tell that things are not right at this location. Why aren't these issues being looked into? My husband and I "HAD" multiple accounts (businesses, personal, and savings) plus referred another business to open an account there. With all that is going on at this branch and a total lack of respect, concern and attention on behalf of the staff and the branch Manager, Oscar Roque...ALL accounts have been CLOSED and moved to Wells Fargo! One word. Rosa. She is SO lovely. I walked in on a Thursday morning around 11 to open a checking account (I'm with us bank but wanted a chase since it's convenient to my grandmother who sometimes deposits money into my account). I did have to wait a bit (15 mins maybe 10) but she came out to get me, complimented my shoes and cup (both sparkly ) and took me back to her little area. She was very efficient, friendly, took the time to walk me though each last of the process, explain all the paper work to me, etc. I felt like she didn't try to rush the process but also was as efficient as possible not wasting time either. Great example of customer service. I've been in various CS positions for over 10 years and so I feel I'm both generous and fair. I can usually tell even when service is bad when it's not their fault, but likewise if I feel there is no reason for the bad service I'm pretty picky about it. I would love to work with Rosa any time I come in. Branch was clean and spacious. Convenient to my gym. Being that this is my first experience with Chase I can't fully gauge how the whole experience is and I will update as needed, but for now I feel quite happy with my decision to open a checking account with them! read more

You see a manager walking around doing nothing, chatting with tellers when they don't have customers, yet would not come help customers who are waiting to be helped. I would not even give 1 star. This bank has terrible customer service. I forgot my atm card in the atm slot outside (since with the chip it now has to stay in slot for the duration of your transaction ) and called in the morning to see if they have it. They said they couldn't find it and if they did it gets shredded right away. So Chase offers card replacement on the spot and the girl I spoke to did not offer that to me, instead telling me to call the 800 number and requesting a new one. So today went to the Panorama city branch on Woodman Ave to take out money since I had no card. So the lady there got me a new card within a minute or so and she slso cancelled the card in the mail on the spot. So bad review for that sylmar branch for not offering all its services to me and kudos to the Woodman ave branch. Anyhow, all its good now. read more

I went in line inside to withdraw money in quarters and some change. It was a little busy and there isn't a lot of employees so it was like a 15 minute wait. It felt slow because I needed something that was going to take a minute to do. Once it was my turn, the lady that assisted me was so nice and sweet by greeting me with a good morning and how are you doing and how can I help you. I told her that I needed quarters and 5 dollar bills and 1 dollar bills and she was totally fine with it and had a smile while doing it. Highly recommend this place if you are not busy!
