Yesterday Sept 2 2025, I went to this bank on S Vincent Ave West Covina in desperate need of help since my account was overdrawn due to an error on one of my auto credit card payments. This lady Grace on financial services told me the only thing I could do is call my creditor. Which I did eventually. But I needed help right away and unfortunately I thought she would help me and she did not offer me anything after listening to me crying because I had never gone thru this and bills were going to pile up . I walked out of there with no solution . An hour later I called Chase customer service and this very nice agent on the phone told me I could still put a stop payment which I'm so glad and relieved I did. I wish Grace had offered me this option and helped me. She did not do anything for me . read more

This is quite literally the worst branch I've ever been to! I hope they shut it down or worst I hope it get destroyed! They first froze my account for suspicious activity even though I told them everything was fine on my end and transactions made were by me! They said they would send me a brand new card anyways and said after 24hrs I could use my Apple Pay , I then called to see if I can get a temp card which they said that I could to stop by so I did and then when I got to the branch they told me they dont give out temp cards anymore! I am withdrawing all my funds and savings and moving to a new bank! read more

Been coming to this bank for a long, long, long time, way back when it was a Home saving & loan, then bought out by Washington mutual, and now Chase. This particular branch is pretty nice, all the staffers, including the tellers, financial advisors, customer service rep's, and greeters are all really nice and friendly, very helpful and attentive. They seem like they're all eager to help you, at least it seems that way. Now with Chase, they seem like they're trying to phase out the tellers, and opting to install more interior, automated teller machines. If your more of a teller kind of a person, you might not rate Chase so high, as you might be stuck in a longer and slower line. But if you can master the automated teller machines, you'll probably find yourself, getting in and out a lot quicker. I'm using the machines all the time now, so I'm feeling confident in using them. I'm usually finding, and walking up to an available machine with no line. I'm learning that these machines can do almost as much as a real live teller can do. Don't feel intimidate, as you can always ask a staffer to help you. With coffee & tea availabe, this place is more than just OK, 4 stars. read more

The first Chase representative that assisted me in establishing a Trust Savings Account was Irwin Soria. He was so professional and knowledgeable, polite sympathetic and kind. He was always researching the best options for me. He kept in touch with me throughout the process, confirming appointments with email as well as phone messages. My second great experience was Tiffany Chen Assistant VP private client banker. She was professional , focused and knowledgeable. I came here today because I had an issue with a deposit I made a few days ago and was helped right away by a banker named Grace with no line or wait times. After verifying/confirming my identity my issue was resolved in a few minutes and I was able to access funds in my account so I could pay my landlord the rent money. To be honest I came here because the branch that is closest to my home had no bankers available so I was redirected to the branch in West Covina. I don't come here often because I live several miles away but I will definitely be here again if I ever have issues or question about my account. Horrible HORRIBLE Bank. They ALLOWED a thief to steal A LOT of money from my account and are basically accusing ME, their customer and VICTIM, of being a party to it! They advertise that they are FDIC insured but denied my LEGIT claim so they won't have to honor their obligation to RETURN the money they FAILED to protect. Customer Service is HATEFUL and very unprofessional. Bank of America is way better than Chase. I SHOULD have deposited with WELLS FARGO since they hold my mortgage. They have GREAT Cus tomer Service and they don't treat you like a criminal when you are a VICTIM of their negligence. Don't trust your money to this place. Earlier today I went to take out money & asked for some rolls of quarters exactly $30. I broke the rolls and one roll seemed suspicious and I counted that the roll which summed to $9.75 instead of the $10. It's upsetting because it's a federal bank & they should have integrity. Technology is great but when you replace people with machines it's takes away ones security.Sure the walk up tellers can do everything but what if one has a question it cannot answer?then what?Do I have to stand In line again to get my question answered?See,that's the flaw in the system.I think people are still valuable in these situations but the big banks want to save money and cut out people to save on health insurance and other things. This reviews is specifically based on the encounter today with Justine Rose, Assistant Vice President, Private Client Banker at 100 S Vincent Ave, West Covina, CA 91790. I have been a chase client for many years and been to this branch many times before. I have always had great experiences at different levels of banking at both personal and business banking whether as a regular patron or CPC until I had to deal with Ms. Justine Rose today. I needed to notarize Trustee acknowledgement for deed trust which Chase offers to its customers at no fees. I had previously completed the exact same thing at other chase branch and had no issues. Appointments are not required as long as the customer does not mind waiting for the same day notary service. Ms. Rose looked at the documents and appeared irritated and told me she could not do it as she had no time for it (yes, she said she had no time for it). So I asked her "you can't do it because you have no time for it?" then, she said "well, its part of the reasons". I asked what the reason was because I had the same exact thing done at another Chase branch without issues. She insisted it was because it involved witnesses and the property was in different state that it would require an attachment and that Chase bank could not do it. Chase bank can do it and has done it previously. She said she would not do it even when I asked what if I was okay with an attachment. She said "You can go to notary public offices and you can pay for it to get it done. They will do the attachment too but they will do it for you because they are getting paid." In my opinion, Ms. Rose refused to notarize these documents for me because she felt it wasn't worth her time since there was no fees for it. So I told her I am a CPC. She said "CPC doesn't matter and I can not do it. If other Chase bank do it, why don't you just go back there". So I asked for her business card and left. I have never had anyone belittle me with this much attitude and tone at any of the Chase branches until Ms. Rose. She appeared highly annoyed by the fact that I was using the free service and making her work instead of going somewhere else to pay for it and leave her alone. If Chase offers free service to its customer, why would I not use it as a customer. Afterward, I went to a different Chase branch and got it done in 30 minutes with no issues. It's a shame that people like Ms. Rose who does not care for customers and acts it is beneath her to provide the service to customers are working at a great institute like Chase. It awes me to think that Ms. Rose has a position as a private client banker given the personality and attitude. I love doing business and investing with Chase but Ms. Rose definitely ruins it. I eagerly hope that people like Ms. Rose leave Chase soon so that Chase continues its superb reputation with its satisfied customers. read more

Great bank and tons of ATMs across the area over where I live. The one thing I would change is the $34 overdraft fee. It's a bit high if you go over as something small like $5. Other than that the staff is nice. However, they do try to push you to get a credit card or loan. I know it's part of there job but if I want a credit card I'd ask them if/when I need it. My favorite part of this bank is the depositing of cash and checks without an envelope. It machine/ATM adds it all up by itself!!! Very cool! read more

They have their own parking lot. Easy to find parking. They replaced people with machines in here. There are separate lines for ATM and meeting with an associate. The first time I used the machine inside, I was a bit confused. It wasn't like the ATM machines at the outside. I kinda wished that and associate would have been there for my first experience. It took me a bit longer than I anticipated. I am statused as a Private Client here. Not sure what that exactly means. Lol. I get a different ATM card. Wait times can be excessive here. They can be very busy. I've met with a variety of bankers here. Some very helpful, and some that are quick to explain and I didn't completely understand what they explained to me. And I'm already done talking, so I don't ask for further explanation. read more

If you go in here accidentally to go to another business like the Foothill Transit store or other places in the building that this bank shares the building with security or the workers or whoever get very mad. They treat you so rudely. Look I just went into the wrong building. I'm not a trespassing criminal. I'd hate to think how they treat the people who actually use this bank here. Came to chase bank for temp ATM card, signed in and sat down, two other people signed in behind me, female employee picked up sign in sheet looked at a female waiting, began helping her when I signed in 10 mins before her she acted like I was invisible. I was irritated, especially when she gave me some lam excuse that she didn't read my name, even though it was clearly written..... clearly to me she took female over male they spoke the same language, my opinion... customer service is much better at BOA or even Wells Fargo, I'm soon closing my account and going to Wells Fargo, with all the trouble they have been in they are working hard for "customer service" ...and its working... Ridiculous policy about not being allowed to make a cash deposit without an ID/Bank card; I have my acct number on hand, and I don't need a receipt. Really good bank with many ATMS available. Here's your score out of 5: Location: 5 points, right off the 10 freeway across the Mall and the Elephant bar. Easy to spot although the entrance to the parking lot is a bit tricky and narrow for my liking. Parking: 4 points, although there's plenty of space to park your car the bank is a office building, So there's designated parking spots which blows. Once again I state that the entrance to the parking lot off of Vincent is tricky and I have seen people miss it, hit someone or be hit. ATMs: 5 points, they have 2 drive up ATMs and I believe 3 walk ups. All of them have always worked when I used them so no complaints here. The Branch: 5 points, it was just remodeled and it looks great and real spacious too. It has a friendly staff and plenty of help to go around. See you there yelpers. read more

I had the worst experience trying to refinance with Chase Mortgage lender (Sarabeth). The most incompetent broker I have dealt with. Would not recommend anyone to refinance if you are dealing with this broker. I have passed confidential information multiple times to the broker and she still request for the same thing. I am in fear the person preparing my loan app does not pose the competency to perform the proper task. have decided not to move forward and happily wait to refinance with other banks. read more

THE GOOD: Employees: tellers, customer service and even the security guards are almost always friendly, helpful, and professional. Building: This branch is huge! It's was remodeled a couple of years ago and looks great inside. THE BAD: Wait time: Lines can be long here so don't come during busy hours (saturdays and lunch times on weekdays). The tellers are pretty quick and there are usually a lot of them so even when lines are long, the wait isn't too bad (most times). Location: It's nice that it's so close to the mall and restaurants but that also means often facing a bit of congestion on the roads driving there. Getting in and around the parking lot can also be a bit of a hassle a lot of times. THE UGLY: Drive up ATM's: Maybe they're older machines? The drive-up ATM's at this branch are the only ones that give me the most problems depositing cash. I end up spending so much time straightening and spinning the bills this way and that every time the ATM keeps spitting it back out. Long time customer of Chase (mortgage, credit cards, etc). Cancelled both my credit cards arbitrarily just weeks after offering me and granting a credit increase on both cards. No prior notice and no explanation that makes any sense at all. Very similar experience to having your youtube or twitter account shut down without explanation (as if an explanation would even mean anything) Chase proves that we are already at the mercy of the machines, arbitrary algorithms that only diminish our humanity. Bank tellers are horrible, need major customer service training. I guess the mindset is to ignore the business transaction clients and just help the regular non-business clients. As I am the only person in line for the business transactions, all of the bank tellers that were helping the bank customers start to disappear to their breaks. I was having a family emergency and was trying to deposit money to an account and they said no. This Chase branch is one of the largest i have seen. I only come here to withdraw money right before bowling so its not that often. But my only recommendation for this place and any other banks is to have like a security on duty because sometimes i feel uneasy withdrawing money from my account because i feel like i have to triple scan my surrounding and rush my transaction. Came here to open a business account, 3 hours later after tryin got get us to invest our money along with a bunch of other things we didn't need or ask for, etc, we were finally let go with the assumption it was a done deal. Fast forward 1 week my account was closed due incomplete documentation.
