But, SDCCU has never let us down whenever we needed to interact with them; being it a loan of any kind where we selected them, dealing with issues related to our checking or savings accounts, fraud crap on our accounts, wire transfers, trust conversion, etc. I chose this specific SDCCU as I have been frequenting it, by far, the most of any branch over the past nearly 20 years (as recently as the other day). I rarely have ever set actual foot in the actual building itself, as the wife tends to most matters, because their online banking is fairly easy to navigate. The employees at this bank branch have always been courteous, helpful, quick and efficient. So, for a bank branch I give this branch my 5 star rating (as good as it gets).

I docked a star for the stupid Elite Checking fee, which is $6 per month. I don't really use Frontwave as a bank, more as a placeholder in case I need a loan, so I don't leave much money in my checking. Having at least $2,500 in one's checking waives the fee. I called to have the Elite Checking Account downgraded to "Everyday Checking" but after a half-hour wait the person was unable to access the computer, allegedly. I wonder why there's so much call volume? Maybe it's that sneaky upgrade and $6 a month charge? Either way, it's a good credit union overall with GREAT people at the Wildomar location, but upgrading everyone to the "Elite" checking account without asking was not a good move. They should have left me with the fee-free checking since I obviously don't use the account at all, hardly. **UPDATE** I drove to the local branch and the nice employee not only switched me to free checking, she refunded the $12 I paid unwittingly for the upgraded checking account I didn't upgrade. She said that anyone can get their money back if they show up at a branch as they can make the initial Elite Checking "promotional", post hoc. Still not glad that they upgraded my checking account but all's well that ends well, right? Thanks!

During my younger college and adult years, I banked with Wells Fargo and Bank of America but I always found long lines for service during most of my visits. When I settled down in Temecula in March of 2019, I decided to open my checking account with a smaller local bank and I chose Provident because other members of my family have enjoyed banking with them for almost 20 years. Whenever I need to go inside this location (there is an ATM outside), I am always greeted with smiles by Bekah, Anthony, Armando and the rest of the friendly staff. I am usually helped within a couple of minutes, sometimes right away as there are not long lines when compared to the bigger nationwide banks. Most importantly, I have never had one problem with any of my direct deposits, funds transferred or debit cards issued by Provident. I started with one basic checking account in 2019 and now have three accounts with Provident and will continue to give them my business as long as I am a local resident of Temecula or Murrieta. We spent quite a bit of time with him when opening our accounts and never felt rushed. The same is true whenever we drop in with a question. He always has a smile with his answers. I am always greeted with with a friendly "Welcome" from the Member Service Reps. The young man and woman at the counter are always friendly and helpful (sorry, I can't think of their names).
