There's an entire plant section, and clothing, ceramic and earth and where, high-end grooming products for men, all manner of bags and carrying containers, children's and baby wear, lots of interesting scented candles around, crystals, and the like, and hairbrushes that will last a lifetime (no, seriously they will and it'll probably be an heirloom item that gets passed on). Emily was very helpful and Amanda wrapped. They were a great team. And there was some friendly chatter that was comfortable. No one was afraid to ask if you needed help and they meant it. They have a great gift wrap set up where you can get something in a box with ribbon or you can buy a very attractive gift bag and they will take care of packaging for you. All in all one stop amazing holiday shopping place conveniently located in downtown Eugene. Come find this place. You won't regret it. Looking forward to coming again.

They called me night before to see when i would pick it up and to make sure it would be ready. Finally called me sunday, i missed cal and called right back. No answer. Saw tonight they emailed me saying it was my fault because they were doing me a huge favor for the price I wanted to spend. I would have spent as much as needed for my bouquet THEY ARE THE ONES WHO SAID 65.00! I ordered a large bouquet of flowers for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day through one of the larger online retailers (to be fulfilled by the local florist). I even paid for the upgrade to the "Deluxe" bouquet for a total of $65. I read the website carefully to make sure I could be reasonably assured that the photo shown was representative of what would be delivered. I lucked out in that the description under the Deluxe upgrade was that the flowers delivered would be "as close as possible" to the photo on the website. I absolutely anticipated some difference in the actual bouquet, particularly since it was going to be a busy weekend, flower-wise. Not quite. SEE THE PHOTO I uploaded to show what my mother-in-law actually received in a split-shot of the photo on the website. In other words, it was a fraction of what I paid for! The filler greenery was dying by the next day, one of the two lilies broke as soon as it opened and even the ribbon was fraying. I emailed Monique on Monday with the photos and a printout of the description of the Deluxe upgrade. She left me a voicemail on Tuesday, which I returned the next day. I didn't hear anything by the next day, so I forwarded my original email again on Wednesday night. Still no response. I forwarded my email so she could see it for a THIRD time on Friday and let her know I would contact the originating website if I didn't hear from her by Monday evening. I received an email from her on Monday morning apologizing for the delay "because the shop was closed for the weekend". I'm not sure that explained the delay between Tuesday afternoon and Monday morning, by at this point, I was happy to receive anything! I attempted to email her back, but her the email bounced back because her website had expired on 5/16/15. Sigh. So I called her and just crossed my fingers that someone would answer. She told me that although I had spent $65 with the originating vendor, only a small amount of that money actually reaches her, so she filled the order based on that. I didn't catch the exact dollar amount, but it was in the neighborhood of $16. I told her that although I sympathize, her financial arrangement with the originating website should have no bearing on me. If she didn't receive a large enough cut to make it worth her while to fill these orders, then she should definitely speak with them - but cheapening my order was not the appropriate way to handle that issue. She then tried to tell me that the bouquet she prepared WAS the same as what I ordered - but it was just that the lily hadn't opened yet. I wondered if she was kidding. I clarified again with her - did she *really* think the two bouquets were the same? She said she wouldn't argue that point any further. I let her know that I ordered the same bouquet from the same website for my mother in Portland - and it was delivered on par with the website photo without issue. It didn't matter; it was obvious I was getting nowhere with her and the fact that I had waited a week for this conversation was not helping matters. When I told her I would speak with From You Flowers directly to request a refund, she told me that was a good idea. Wow! I, too, own my own business, and I can confidently say that I wouldn't have clients if this was how I chose to handle questions and concerns. The next time I order flowers in the Eugene area, I will choose any other available florist besides Affair With Flowers.

I met with several florists a few months before our wedding to discuss what we needed. Since it was…read morea backyard wedding with no wedding party, we had a rather modest order. Shannon came highly recommended by one of my sisters-in-law, who used her for her wedding in 2009. I later learned from other relatives that the flowers at that wedding had wilted very early. Everyone chalked that up to the fact that more delicate flowers had been used, so I specifically discussed the hardiness of the flowers we were using, and was assured that my selections would be just fine. One month before my wedding, I had not heard from Shannon to schedule the follow-up appointment to finalize the order. I sent her an email asking when she would like to meet, and advised her I had some changes to make. Despite an email and a phone call (that went straight to voicemail), she did not get back to me for a week. We ended up exchanging emails to discuss the changes I wanted, and I thought everything was fine. She said only that she would deliver my flowers by 4 on the wedding day (pictures at 5, ceremony at 7), and that she would get back to me with that information. I wasn't terribly concerned when she didn't tell me an ETA for the wedding day, but I'd assumed that I would be present when the flowers were delivered. Imagine my surprise when I got to the ceremony site at noon and was told that the flowers had been delivered nearly three hours earlier. According to my mother-in-law, Shannon dropped them off and left very quickly with only oral instructions to refrigerate everything. My mother-in-law stored the flowers in an otherwise empty refrigerator. By the time I arrived, many of the flowers were beginning to wilt and turn brown. The centerpieces had white hydrangeas, white lisianthus, and freesia with pink lisianthus accent. The hydrangeas were turning brown and looked pretty wilted. The pink lisianthus was far more lavender than the pale pink I had wanted; a minor quibble but a quibble nonetheless. The roses in my bouquet were starting to turn brown at the tips of the petals - with seven hours to go until the ceremony. But the cake topper was the absolute worst part. In my initial e-mails I'd requested a floral cake topper and I had provided inspiration photos with what I liked. Shannon's quote was for cake flowers. Apparently there is a difference. Rather than constructing an actual cake topper that could simply be placed on the cake at the time of delivery, Shannon put eight wilting roses that were already starting to turn brown and lose their petals into a vase, stems and all, along with some freesia that was also losing its petals. Apparently someone else was supposed to put these flowers onto the cake. Fortunately, a friend's mother is a former florist and she came over to help me out and transform the roses into the cake flowers that I'd requested. She took one look at the cake flowers and declared them to be ugly and unsuitable. She graciously took over the project, and went out to Michaels and the grocery store to find suitable flowers and made an absolutely gorgeous cake topper that looked lovely on our cake. It cost her $30 - a mere $10 more than what Shannon charged me for a sparse and unsuitable arrangement. My mother and MIL did the best they could to cut off petals on the centerpieces to make them look presentable, but everyone who was there during the set up agreed that they looked unimpressive, including my husband. My bouquet was rough looking during the wedding, despite having been in water for most of the 10 hours it was at the house before the wedding. I turned it so that the worst of the flowers were facing me, but it was still disappointing. A mere three days after the wedding I was pulling out totally rotten and brown rosebuds that had never opened. A $125 bouquet of roses should not be in such poor shape after just three days. I've had bouquets from the supermarket last longer than that. To sum up this long review: I found the flowers disappointing in nearly every aspect. In the end, Shannon was gracious and professional enough to write off the unpaid balance of my charges, which I appreciated. However, in the end I was left feeling that my small wedding with a small budget was far less important than the five or six other weddings Shannon had orders for that day, and that lack of importance was reflected in the quality of the product delivered.

When I first arrived at the ceremony site I remember I almost cried. I could not believe what she had done! The bouquets, the tables, the gazebo, and the cake were stunning! Shannon has an incredibly deep knowledge of flowers and a true gift for styling and putting them together.
