We had the hitch, but not the necessary lighting required for a trailer rental. Although we had an appointment to install the lighting at a Richmond location of the trailer rental company--at considerable cost-- while stopping to visit friends, we were told the kit was not available and could not be located at any other store along the 95 corridor at this venue, but we would most likely get lucky if we made various stops at their locations along the way. We called Southside Hitch the next morning, hoping that they would be able to help, but figured we would pay for our lack of planning. We were told to come on out, they were sure they could accommodate us! And they did! Within 30 minutes, we had a lighting kit installed at a fraction of the cost of the quote from the trailer rental company. It has taken me awhile, but I just want to thank Southside Hitch for being such an honest, reputable, and helpful company. We are so happy we called you! Thank you so very much!

Luckily, my evening went more smoothly thanks to Dennis' Towing. My car broke down a the highway ramp near Staples Mill and I called at least 7 different towing companies in the area with no tow truck availability. When I called, I was told that there would be a truck available in approximately 45 minutes, and that they would call me back then. I was contact by Keith who was very professional and respectful. He called me to tell me when he was on the way, that he had a (more urgent) call from the police to respond to an accident and he let me know that it would be a little while longer before he could tow my car. No worries, I really appreciated that I was kept in the loop. Eventually, that evening, he towed my car to the mechanic and dropped the key off in their drop box. I've never used a towing service before, but Keith was very communicative which is important for times like these. Their prices were very fair - $65 base fee with an additional $4 per mile towed. The job got done and I'm satisfied with my experience; I'll be contacting them if I ever need towing again.

The owner answered the phone, and offered to come help me get it off the freeway that night. Had the trailer delivered by flat-bed on Sunday, and Hot Fix fabricated and installed a new trailer tongue by Monday afternoon, salvaging the coupler and sleeve and saving money on those. Very fair pricing, quick service, quality workmanship. The new tongue is much stronger than the one that broke, and will outlast the trailer!
