Do not go to this dentist!!!!! Went for just a routine cleaning. They said that I needed a more thorough scaling procedure and that they would work out the insurance paperwork later. Then, at the end of the session, they requested full payment. I offed to pay on the spot but they push my toward a credit card option (don't do this ever). The credit card total was $1,750. The claim they sent to the insurance company was for $1,500 (Where did the other $250 go?). Once the insurance paperwork was competed, the scaling procedures were not covered so they paid out only $114 on the bill. Do not have any work done by these people unless you get a full estimate of the cost and feedback from your insurance company on the benefits that are covered!!!!!!!! Just a note that Stacy M's review is spot on. My experience with them is identical. The initial appointment with them seemed to be professional and detailed. Since no work has been done yet except for x-rays and a cleaning on the right side of my mouth, I cannot comment on the dental work done. The reasons for the 1 star are as noted above with Stacy M's review, are the office staff and billing practices. Calls are put on hold and never picked up, messages are given that a call back will be made, but are not returned, billing is very messy and not explained well at all or given some comment such as "the process is very expensive". At the initial appointment to discuss the work I needed, I had cleaning and a procedure done on the right side of my mouth. The left side was scheduled for a later date because of timing in the office that day. The bill for the right side was $302, then when arriving for the left side treatment I was handed a bill for $512 for the same procedure, before any work was done. Maybe there is a good reason for this, but I was not given one. At that time I also handed them a CareCredit card for the charges, when I was told they do not take that card, even though I was told at the initial appointment that it would be accepted. As stated, the professional dentistry may be great, I don't know yet. The administration of the office is terrible. Whoever is in charge is not adept at managing. So, I am now stuck going back to them to finish some denture and oral surgery work that has already been billed to insurance. After those processes are finished I will update this review, which may raise the stars given or justify the 1 star. If you use this dentistry, be cautious. I thought I was alone with the billing issues, but I have since found that others have reported the same problem. I needed to have a tooth extraction and another filling on another tooth. Yes, I still have a hole in my mouth and a tooth that needs to be filled. When I was in the chair they set the estimate in my lap and said si.gn it.I should have left because it seemed very high for these services. I got a 2nd opinion and the dentists I showed the estimate to was floored and felt I was double charged. It has been just about a year and nothing has been resolved. When I originally met with this group to get implant dentures for the bottom, no one told me that if you smoke, it would possibly risk the outcome I smoke and smoking for 50 years then no I needed to quit and I had a problem with my right implant it's been two years. So the newest professional thing they do when confronted with false billing and not crediting my account for payments I have made is to overtly just not speak to me. The representative at the front says immediately ( they have caller ID) that she is going to put me on hold while working with a patient.I understand how things work so I wait, and wait, and wait and she never returns to the call. Apparently being asked about the improper billing must cause her to stall , or maybe even look into things a bit ( I understand and agree to give her the entire day to take a look and call me when she is ready) this call never comes, she says she was busy. I ask to speak to an office manager and I am told he is working someplace else but I am not given an email, a direct phone number, or it is never suggested that I could leave him a message....When I ask if I can leave a message for him to call me to discuss the billing (that is beginning to look more and more like intentional fraud) I am cut off and she will need to call me back bc something urgent is happening or a patient walked in or who knows what else..the reasons are endless . I ask now if she really will call me back and in a nice professional tone I am told " yes I will look into this and give you a call " and (spoiler alert ) that call never, ever comes. No post surgical calls, no post care calls, and most certainly no erroneous billing call backs. I am astounded at the ethics of the staff and the practice as a whole. Never in all of my life have I received such deceitful, dishonest, and unprofessional treatment from any medical facility. I have been to plenty dentists, doctors etc. And this place by far is the biggest nightmare and rip-off I have ever encountered. When I visited this Dental group for procedure in March 2024 using my insurance plan I was required to pay my portion on the day of the treatment. I was given a list at that time and told that this list was already reviewed and approved by Delta dental. I looked over the list and not knowing all the codes, took the person at their word and paid the bill as required at that time. The procedure went alright and the recovery took a few days as planned. I few weeks later I get the explanation of benefits from Delta Dental and found out the I had been over charged by $380! I called The office manager at Chaska Commons Dental Group and asked why the over charge? They explained that they do not care what Delta Dental Says the patient should be charged, Chaska Commons Dental will charge whatever they feel they want to charge. They did not explain why they lied to me when I was in the office for my office appt. I will not go back to this dental office again. read more

Run in the other direction. CCD is part of our dental insurance network. They cannot balance bill. They must accept what is paid by the insurance company for covered services. The Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) from the insurance carrier clearly states this requirement. The provider insisted on being paid up front. We then spent MONTHS working to reclaim almost $500 on two separate claims. We discussed the issue several times with the office manager. The insurance company told the office manager that we were owed the money. It still took months to get our refund. In addition, every time we saw the provider we "needed" work to be done. We went to another provider for second opinions and found out the work was not "needed." If you have already used them, check your insurance EOBs and see if you were over charged. Work with your insurance carrier and get your money back. read more

Great group to get to know! Having high anxiety they were very accommodating. The personal touch was so nice to see. Taking the time to make sure I was ready and comfortable truly helped. Since my visit my husband has become a patient. He also enjoyed the quality of care and time they took to explain everything to him. Now we are working on getting our daughter signed up as a patient. Can not recommend them. At first I was impressed by the new technology, but as time went on, they didn't do a proper exam and just focused on the obvious things that could make them money. A year later the endodontist mentioned that I should get them to look at 2 large cavities that he could easily see. "If" these had been addressed originally, those 2 molars could have been saved, but after a year of ignoring them, they had to be removed, which cost money, and now I have to look at implants which cost a lot of money. All because they didn't do their job right when I first came in. Also, they have a habit of adding charges after you've paid, then say they'll remove the charges and never do. read more

We had a secondary insurance that was never billed for coverage and yet they demanded payment. I have had such a wonderful experience with Chaska Commons Dental Group. From the friendly ladies in the front to the hygienist and dentist. I had a crown put in and a filling. The crown fits my tooth perfectly. I was worried that it would feel uncomfortable, but Dentist J made sure it was perfect. She was very gentle and detail oriented. I've also brought my six year old son here who has sensory issues. I was worried on how he would react to all the equipment and noises. The dental hygienist, Brittany was so patient with him and took such good care of him along with all the staff. I highly recommend Chaska Commons. My hygienist, Karen, is very professional. She far exceeded my expectations during the deep cleaning procedure. She was very concerned about my comfort level. Dr. Carter and his assistant, William, were very efficient during oral surgery for a tooth extraction and bone graft. I elected to utilize nitrous oxide during the procedure which greatly helped reduce my anxiety. Kelly, as benefits coordinator, was very thorough explaining my insurance and cost sharing requirements. Dr. J, my dentist, got me in after one week after I had a capped tooth break off, even though I was a new patient. I had brought my daughter and myself there for first time check . It is worst experience I had. First ofnall, they said my daughter has four cavity and charge about 300 usd for filling cavity. She had teeth check all times. Her past dentist never mentioned this. Then they said I need to have deep clean which is another item I have to pay extra. I never see dentist place like this -they want to let you pay extra charge service first before they do regular clean .the regular clean is very bad as well. Spent lot of time polish not real clean. My daughter mouth swell after dentist visit. We went back to ask what is going on. Front desk said it is unusual but doctor said it is usually. They told me it would be one price so i went there and it ended up being 450 dollars more out of pocket. I would not recommend going there. As well as when I got my teeth cleaned they did not scrap away the plaque I'm sorry but I dont pay $70 to have my teeth brushed! No thank you! My experience with Chaska Commons Dental was exemplary. I needed a filling replaced. After being quoted a price from my current dentist and told it would take two visits, I found Chaska Commons. I was treated in a way that made me feel very relaxed and confident. I had a cleaning, x-rays, and two fillings replaced for less than what my former dentist wanted just for the evaluation. I would have to say that this was the WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had at a dentist. First off they are advertising that $59 Digital X-Rays and Cleaning. I went in and had it felt like 20 different X-Rays done. Then I was told that I needed a cap put on because I had a cracked tooth and that I had 3 cavities. The receptionist came over to me to explain that I had excellent Dental coverage and she has never seen this kind of coverage. Now just let me tell you I had no tooth pain so I was a little confused as to why I needed a cap. The X-Rays didn't show a crack but her tests that she does indicated that I may have one, so she did the cap, same day. Once the cap was on she did the blue tape test and had me grind my teeth a few times. She ground the crown down a few times. She said how is that and I said it doesn't feel right, she gave out a sigh and I said just leave it, maybe I just have to get used to it. Within a few days I could not eat on that side and have severe pain. I tried flossing and that about put me threw the ceiling. I had a headache to the point that nothing took it away. I had my digital X-Rays transferred and another dentist fix my tooth. She said that my bite was really off and that the cap she put on was thin and cheap. She also said that I may have to have a new cap put on, but Thankfully she was able to save most of the cap. Let you remind you I went in for the $59 Digital X-Rays and Cleaning, never had the cleaning, but did get a polish. I was told being that I had insurance I didn't qualify for the $59 that they would bill my insurance. The Cap that she put on cost $1250. When I went to the new dentist she said had to take new X-Rays because the Digital ones that I had were poor quality. She said that I had no cavities, so not sure what she was going to fill when I came back for my second Appt. Needles to say I'm very unhappy with the work that was done and will not go back.
