Went here for a wedding earlier this summer. The outdoor area in the back is perfect for a Baraat. The groom and his wedding party made their grand entrance on a yacht, dancing their way off the boat, onto the dock and towards the building. Meanwhile, the bride watched from her suite which also overlooked the water. The wedding hall itself has floor-to-ceiling windows allowing for natural sunlight and perfect for pictures. The dining area is rather small but tables outside are perfect for smaller groups, weather permitting.

My dream wedding! Waterside, amazing food, accommodating smart staff, my dream come true. For our first look, I walked down the dock to my handsome groom, he turned around and the only thing that could have made that moment more magical would have been If he cried when he saw me! Lol. The picture of us walking down the dock, the outdoor ceremony at the gazebo, and then the beautiful ballroom for our first dance. I wish you could have been there. Cocktail hour food, reception dinner, dessert table after wow! Wow! Wow! Throwing an Italian Latino party you worry about the food. Will my guest have enough to eat and drink? Will they be happy? Yes and yess! Everyone was happy! Thank you Château la Mer

Attended a wedding here last summer and it's was centered on Indian traditions. The food seem to be as well. A lot of food with good spices and robust flavors. The ceremony was beautiful and so was the service of the staff!!!! It was a long drive coming from the city but it was well worth it.

We came here for a friends wedding ... greeted by valet parking ... walked into the lobby which was beautiful! Main floor bathroom was super elegant & clean! Love the outside seating area over looking the water. Cocktail hour was great.... I didn't finish picking up an hors d'oeuvre when another waiter was offering me another one... & they were all delicious!! Everything from potato pancakes, shrimp on cucumber, strawberries stuffed w creme cheese, spring rolls, shish kabobs, chicken teriyaki... omg I can go on there was so much! & again all of it was sooooooo gooooood! On top of that there was a buffet of cold pasta, cheese, salads, seafood & fruits! I order a coke & rum & that was made to perfection! Then we went upstairs to the party & I was a bit disappointed because it didn't look as clean & elegant as downstairs... the bathrooms were dirty & didn't flush, another one was out of service, floor was wet... that's a bit disappointing considering the bride/ groom are paying so much money for the place. At one point I couldn't hear the speech of the groom because the music from the party downstairs was so loud (they should of coordinated that better or have some type of sound control) we went to our table & there was cesar salad already plated, which the lettuce looked/ tasted soggy & old. However it did get better .... that was followed by penne ala vodka which was good... then there was a choice of filet mignon, salmon & chicken ... I got the filet mignon which was super tender & delicious.. the couple next to us got salmon & they too loved their meal too ... it was served with a potato croquette which my only complaint was I wanted more because it was so good !

I can't believe it's taken me almost 3 years to review my wedding venue. My husband and I got married here July 12, 2014. We had looked at probably a dozen other wedding venues, but nothing really compared to this vision I had in my head of my perfect wedding venue...until we got to CLM. First off, the view is fantastic. There's nothing better than being right on the water. This is Long Island, after all! The back patio is decorated nicely with real palm trees. We got married in the bigger ballroom on the first floor, and it is seriously stunning. Windows from the floor to the ceiling, marble floors...so beautiful and elegant without being gaudy. We had a tasting there with my family, and everything we had was delicious; I've been to a lot of weddings, and a lot of times the food is just so-so. The food there is out of this world! But what really sold me was the big entrance the bride and groom get to make during cocktail hour...we got brought up on a yacht!! Lou, the banquet manager, said "Your friends and family will be on the dock, waving and welcoming you to your new life...." and bam, we were hooked. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding day. To this day, people still tell me that my wedding was the best wedding they'd ever been to. Thank you Chateau La Mer! I really hope one of my friends gets married there soon so I can come back!!

Just got done attending a wedding here. They were on the ball with everything. Very prompt with drinks and fixing anything out of place on the tables. Food was good. They had a good number of tasty choices for the cocktail hour all prepared well. Dinner was good too. The brick patio outside on the water needs a deep cleaning but overall a very good establishment.

Throughout the process, I was promised communication and meetings with different staff members, but no one ever followed through. Several times I was told someone would contact me, and they simply never did. The lack of professionalism was overwhelming. I also received contracts that did not match the amounts I had already paid in deposits, which made me extremely uncomfortable. & I refused to sign them so she said she was seizing any communication unless I signed it, As the event got closer, the situation kept getting more confusing and disorganized. Just seven days before my daughter's celebration, I was forced to find another venue at the last minute, which cost me additional money and caused a lot of unnecessary stress for my family. I later learned that others have had similar issues, including a friend of mine. I truly wish I had known this beforehand. Planning a Sweet 16 is a big deal in our community--we save, we plan, and we put our hearts into creating something special for our daughters. Instead, this experience left us disappointed and financially impacted. I am requesting a refund for the deposits I paid, and I hope no one else has to go through the same experience I did. I triple checked I was getting on the right train this time after having incidents arise when traveling to Long Island. After that, it was like a $4 lyft ride over. The views are breathtaking and by the water. They had a really nice set up for the ceremony under an arch outside. Inside was where the party and festivities were held. Hold on - the bathrooms. I need to talk about how great the bathrooms are here. They have little baskets with like towelettes to remove makeup, hair tie things (people like me lose these ALL the time), breathe fresheners, like I'm pretty sure an emergency sewing kit, tampons, pads, cologne, the whole nine yards was stowed away in the ladies bathroom. Get on it. The wedding couple decided on doing this with a full buffet spread before the actual ceremony and a cocktail hour. Interesting. I've never been to a wedding before where they feed you twice. Maybe an appetizer cocktail hour but this was a full huge spread. There were plenty of options for everyone. I was drawn to the sushi and cheese tables as more than others because I didn't want to kill myself with stuffing my face beforehand. Fresh salmon, different kinds of lasagnas, beef goulash, etc. The actual meals they prepare here - eh. I went with the beef and wasn't impressed but there were little additions like 'make your own blinis with fresh caviar, sour cream & lox'. Pinch me now. Every table had their own red wine and vodka bottle chilled on ice. Yes, this was a half Russian wedding. The alcohol choices were fantastic up at the bar and the bartenders were great with also making up drinks when we were indecisive but I mostly stuck to gin/vodka for the night. Really nice addition that the venue provides are desert cordial shots. Little cups of chocolate filled with a liquor of your choice. I think I was the first person to discover the table being set up and stood there for the remainder of the night. I don't go to too many weddings but I was impressed by the venue. Anything by water you really can't go wrong with just don't ask me how much any of this cost.

The most important ingredient to a great wedding party for me is the band and the food. The location on the water was an added value. It was that good. The wedding ceremony took place outside, where rows of chairs were set up and we all had gorgeous waterfront views. After the ceremony, we walked into the building's first floor for the cocktail hour. Simply put, the food was amazing. The cocktail hour alone could have served as a meal. There was a big central charcuterie station of cold appetizers - think meats, cheeses, fruits, and crudities. The four corners of the room each housed a food station - a carving station, sushi/sashimi, pasta, and Asian stir fry. Oh, and there were tons of butler service passed hors oeuvres too. Next, we walked upstairs to the large ballroom for the main meal. Dinner service started with a "Burrata Caprese" salad with a big hunk of creamy mozzarella served in a dressed salad with grilled bread. As for the dinner entrees, would you believe a choice of SEVEN entrees?? I kid you not -- seven entrees - Branzino, chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, Surf and Turf, and eggplant. My table had just about all of the choices, and everything disappeared. After the meal, there was an apple tart with ice cream and wedding cake. All of the people I interacted with, the hosts, the bartenders, the servers and the clearers were super polite and friendly. When I think about the decor, the scenery, the food, and the service, this was a top-notch experience, Well done, Piermont.

When we arrived we enjoyed specialists drinks, appetizers, and a solo musician on the main floor. We were then moved upstairs for the main reception event and dinner. It was a huge wedding party and all of the guests fit comfortably. The decorations were perfection and all of the servers and bartenders were attentive and nice. It was a blast and the staff at Piermont helped make it a success. Lunch this year, however, wasn't quite as memorable. I'm not sure who the chef was, but the food was very plain almost like traditional wedding catering. It wasn't bad or inedible, just lacking seasoning. There was very little salt or flavor, so it didn't really stand out or meet the standard many of us expected. The venue itself is beautiful. The inside has a classic, historic feel, and you can tell the building has been around for quite some time. Certain areas really showcase that charm. There is also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. One small thing to note is the cobblestone area as you approach the building it looks nice but isn't the most heel-friendly. Thankfully, there's a sidewalk around it. All in all, the Heritage Club is still a great place to host meetings or events, especially for larger groups.
