When searching for a hotel in the area, I was impressed by the views and affordability. We picked the Standard King with a river view. And it was beautiful, I loved it. I loved the large windows which allowed natural lighting into our room. The curtains were heavy, pretty much black out curtains which let us sleep so well. I really liked the service we received here. Every employee we came in contact with was pleasant, polite, and so helpful. They were quick to tend to our needs and answer our questions. Before booking I inquired about having a mini fridge and we got a room which had that for us. Communicating at the front desk and messaging through the third party site I booked with went very well. However there were a couple things that could've been improved our experience. Our room was pretty much spotless when we arrived, but there was a red piece of hair left on the sink in the bathroom. Both my boyfriend and I have black hair. Also, I wish both bedside tables had outlets available. There were only outlets available on one side, and more outlets by the desk so it was a little inconvenient. Wifi had pretty slow moments, and sometimes the wifi would disconnect randomly so I'd have to wait for it to reconnect again. There was one night where the vent was blowing smelly air. We checked our bathroom, bathroom trash can, and I even questioned my boyfriend because of it, but we were certain it wasn't us or coming from our room. The smelly air would blow every 30 minutes or so when the vents would come on. We were contemplating on telling the front desk but it was so late at night, like 1:30 am and we were exhausted from the whole day. It was also our last night too before check out, and we weren't willing to move all our stuff to relocate if we needed to. We ended up falling asleep and didn't smell it again the next morning. Lastly before I checked in, my boyfriend and I kept calling the phone number but the line always sounded busy. We probably called like 7 or 8 times in one day spaced out. Luckily they're pretty good about responding on the third party site but it would be nice to call someone before arriving. We were in the Standard room but next time, I'd be willing to try rooms on the Concierge floor. Despite everything, I really loved the service and employees we came in contact with. It definitely was the most memorable part about staying here along with the view. read more

It's an ok but somewhat dated hotel in downtown Edmonton.  I'll go with 2.5 rounded up to 3 stars.  The rooms and bathroom are basic.  There are some restaurants within 5 - 7 minutes walk. I saw later though that a number of harmless homeless and out-of-luck folk hang around in this downtown area.  No one bothered us but it was noticeable, just saying.   As far as the hotel itself, the air flow was weak and the heater didn't keep up too well so it was slightly cool during bedtime.  The downstairs area is pretty roomy with traditional ballrooms. The breakfast room was used for an evening welcome reception for our tour group and it was fine with beer/wine and hors d'oeuvres served.  They have a ground floor restaurant as well as a rooftop fine dining restaurant with a nice city view I was told.   The traditional North American breakfast was ok.  Rochelle was at the front desk and she was friendly and helpful with restaurant and convenience store suggestions.  Overall, the place worked but there was nothing exceptional and there's the caveat about the local street walkers. read more

Had a good experience here during our visit from the states. Clean and cozy room, nice view from the 12th floor. Night 1- we had to deal with loud neighbors but thankfully it didn't last long... walls are very thin here it seems, You can hear everything around you. Shower had good water pressure. Check in lady wasn't the warmest or friendliest but thankfully we didn't have to deal with her again. Easy hotel to navigate, easy to get picked up and dropped off from Lyft/Ubers. Concierge was a friendly man who opened doors for us, that was a nice treat. Affordable hotel and good location downtown, very close to the Roger's place arena. Would stay here again if we visited Edmonton again. read more

Very nice and clean hotel located in downtown Edmonton area. Very easy for to locate for Uber drivers. Drop off and pick up is right in front, and very close to the hotel elevators. The rooms are very clean, as well as the bedding and towels. The walls are very thin as well did deal with some noisy screaming guests in the next room over. But, the hotel staff took care of that very quickly. There is 2 very nice places to eat in the hotel which we unfortunately didn't get a chance to try, but every evening looked like it was nice and full inside the restaurants. Our check in process was easy, minus the unwelcoming we got from the staff member at the front desk, but we didn't let that ruin our time here. I would definitely stay here again in the future if I'm visiting Edmonton! Thanks for the hospitality. read more

A very beautiful spot!!! We stayed for 3 nights & enjoyed everything! This place is located downtown Edmonton! The neighborhood is totally clean. A couple of stragglers around, but they're harmless and you will feel safe! Complimentary - They serve a very good breakfast Aaand they serve a very nice appetizer happy hour!! AWESOME! Both with someone there to help you! The staff are all very helpful and of course, extremely nice! You will like every single person you will meet! The Room - The bed was just right... my only beef was not having USB ports for phones. The TV was nice and the Canadian shows are entertaining! We relaxed a lot. The restaurant - Rotates 360 degrees. A very 5 star, Canadian Menu! The food was amazing!!! The drink menu was large!!! Loved everything about the restaurant! Parking costs by night, but there isn't any nice street parking anywhere. read more

We had a lovely short stay at this downtown hotel. Apparently there are floors that have been renovated and some that are much older looking. We were lucky to be staying in one of their renovated rooms. As the hotel is a round tower, each room is sort of pie shaped. The bed was very comfortable. The blackout curtains were actually blackout curtains. The room was fairly quiet, we weren't bothered by noisy neighbours. We were at an event as well and it was wonderful. The food was great and the staff were friendly and attentive. The parking lot under the hotel is interesting, if a bit confusing to navigate. The whole hotel is built into the side of the hill so it's a very interesting piece of architecture. Would stay again. read more

When coming to this area, you may pick some thing away from the downtown facility. I came here with high expectations that I could go to a quick restaurant for a bite to eat or run to a store and there is nothing close by nor does the hotel have anything before the hours of 5 PM. Even the restaurant, you had to have reservations and couldn't just walk in and sit down according to the front desk. The menu here is very limited after 5 PM so if you plan to go eat make sure you're not a female by yourself or walking with a baby. The neighborhood is very sketchy and there are a lot of transient and riffraff. Even the Security recommended that I probably order Uber eats to be on the safe side. So needless to say, I had Uber eats, which was not exactly what I had hope for for dinner, but a salad tide me over. Now this morning, I am sitting in the lobby, not even able to get anything from the vending machine, although they are full, they don't work. You try and try and try to dispense some thing and nothing comes out and it cancels your sale. The front desk doesn't even have a little gift shop or store in order to buy essentials so this was definitely not a good experience. If you're just coming for a room and you have supplies with you. The rooms are fine. The beds are fairly comfortable. The hotel is clean and looks really nice on the surface. read more

Chateau Lacombe is a bit of an Edmonton landmark (especially La Ronde - the revolving restaurant at the top), but being a hotel in the city I lived in meant I didn't have much experience with it. Now that I'm in Ontario, I've stayed there a number of times. We stay here every year for my daughter's birthday, coming down from Cold Lake: originally because she liked the view, but now, because it's a bit of a tradition for us. The location is great; it's close to most of the downtown things you would want to do. And because it's adjacent to River Valley Rd, 98 Ave, and a number of other artery-ish roads, it's easily accessible from just about any direction. I've always booked online through a 3rd party, so while I'm fully aware it can be expensive, I've never paid more than I would have at any other decent hotel downtown. We've ALWAYS had a view looking east over the river valley; maybe that's just luck, but it's pretty spectacular. You can see the Muttart Pyramids, all the green space on the south side of the river, and even the Edmonton Queen (when seasonally appropriate) moored on the bank and doing its thing. Beds are extremely comfortable, linens are always fantastically soft and without that customary hotel-laundry smell. On this last trip, the staff really went above and beyond. I called in advance to request a crib in the room, something that I've both been charged for AND has caused issues at other hotels. Here, they jumped at the chance to help us out. Even after allowing us to check in early, they made sure the crib was ready waiting for us. Then, after making conversation and asking about our plans (birthday, etc) at check-in, every time we passed the front desk they would see how we were doing - asking how our specific plans were going, offering to help if we needed suggestions. I was honestly impressed, especially considering there were three large conferences/events going on at the same time...to give that kind of individual care and attention to some rando one-off guests, meant a lot. There are plenty of nice hotels in downtown Edmonton, most of them with the standard, corporate hotel chain vibe. Hotel MacDonald notwithstanding, Chateau Lacombe really stands apart in this regard. Add in its charm, uniqueness, and history...and I would recommend this place to anyone visiting. read more

Another good Crowne Plaza establishment. Talk about being in the midst of things...cinemas, venues, restaurants, art district, heritage walking trail and shopping are all within walking distance. There's a revolving restaurant on the 24th floor with an amazing view of the entire city. It's not a swanky hotel, but you cannot beat the downtown location. read more

This place needs a complete overhaul. I've been coming here for the last 6 years for work and it's become quite dumpy. They spent a few years updating outside windows and slapping on wallpaper in the rooms. The only decent rooms in this hotel are the 'concierge' suites on the top three floors. You're paying a premium for those and they're nothing more than a nice room at the Holiday Inn that are priced like they're the Fairmont. The rooms are like a cheap motel. The furniture is still the same old furniture from the 80s and the bathroom needs a major Reno The hotel is busy and you're often waiting a long time for an elevator. The lobby restaurant is mediocre at best and don't ask to have any cutlery sent up to your room - you'll be asked to pay! If you've got a vehicle, this isn't the most accessible hotel and parking is expensive! It's a great location but only if you're planning to be on foot or using nearby transit which is really convenient. The most disgusting thing about this hotel is the entrance.. it's a smoker paradise! We were tired of having to walk through clouds of smoke and staff apparently not interested in moving people along. In fact, the butt station is right out front so it only encourages smokers to stand around and suck back on darts. As a result, the entire entrance and lobby smell like an ashtray and if you're in meeting rooms, the smell makes its way in. This place is way past its prime and overpriced at that. You're better off spending the extra $12 a night at one of the other nearby hotels and not dealing with any of these headaches. read more

Chateau Lacombe was my home away from home for three nights on a recent trip to YEG. I stayed there, along with several colleagues, on the recommendation of Yelp's very own, Jennie M. It did not disappoint... The recent facelift they did really makes this older hotel seem more modern. I can only speak to my room, which thanks to an upgrade to the concierge floor, made me feel like a VIP! With complimentary wifi that actually works, a comfortable bed, friendly housekeeping staff, locally made bath products (love that peppermint), there wasn't a ton more I could ask for... oh - I did notice that there was no hook to hang my towel in the bathroom. The workout room is small, but has a couple of treadmills and stationary bikes, one precor machine and some weights; enough to get a decent workout for sure. I was grateful to squeeze one in during my stay. I did not eat at any of the on-site restaurants, but I took a peek at the Alberta Ballroom. It's gorgeous! A little bit of constructive criticism: the front desk staff wasn't as on their game as some other hotels I've been to. For example, I tried to request my guest folio be emailed to me upon check-out and not only did they not know how to do it, but didn't offer to figure it out either. They weren't helpful when I called down to request a taxi either. Oh well - I figured it out on my own ;) One more thing to note: the entrance to the hotel seems a little tricky to get in and out of... I wouldn't be surprised if there are car accidents there on occasion because of it. We had a few close calls. All in all, a more than decent hotel and I'd happily return! read more

I had a very pleasant stay at The Chateau Lacombe! The hotel is a mix between old fashioned class an new-school boutique. Chateau Lacombe feels a little like it's going through a bit of a transition period: keeping the stylish aspects of the original and in the midst of upgrading the more dated portions. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to the concierge floor, complete with a private lounge, complimentary WiFi and the better view of Edmonton than I ever knew existed. The room was quite fashionable with a completely different look than the rest of the hotel. A great view, a super comfy bed and a rain shower make me one happy hotel guest for the weekend. It's in a great central location for a downtown Edmonton stay but can be a little tricky to find your first time around thanks to the slough of one-ways around the steep hill the hotel is built on. The plus to this is the view that you get if you room overlooks the hill. Friendly and helpful door staff capped this off as a great stay and I'll definitely consider the Chateau Lacombe the next time I'm in Edmonton. read more

I was at this hotel for a conference and can't comment on the accommodations. I wasn't impressed that one set of washrooms in the lobby were out of order. That left 2 other sets of washrooms often with lines during meal and break times. The sessions were held on the main floor or conference rooms on the third floors. The temperature in the rooms varied, so it was best to have your jacket in case you needed it. Elevators to get to the third floor usually required a wait and they seemed a little old and worn, as were the hallways. The chairs were the typical uncomfortable conference ones that leave your squirming after 15 minutes so you could imagine how numb bums were after an hour or two. The meals were either make your own sandwich or premade sandwiches. The make your own is an interesting concept but I didn't like how the bread was laid out and the deli meat picked over. The dessert bars were nothing spectacular. As with most conferences, they tend to overfeed you and have snacks throughout the day including cookies and banana bread. For me it was too many sweets and not enough savoury and hot food. I've been to better venues for conferences and would chose them over this hotel. But they do have free wifi which is nice! read more

Stayed at The Chateau Lacombe this past Saturday because we were attending an event at the StarLite and wanted to make a night of it. Our experience at the hotel was okay - some good things, some bad. Pros: -Our room was really clean and the bed comfortable -The hygiene products in the bathroom are made in Canada -The view of the river was amazing -front desk has cork screws for guests -food from The Bellamy was yummy (room service Saturday night) -price was great for a Saturday night, downtown Edmonton Cons: -The walls are thin. You can hear your neighbors -Our shower had a constant ringing noise when it was on -when ordering room service, they didn't have an updated menu in our room. Both times we called down, we were told that items we wanted off the menu in their hospitality book were no longer offered. -the alarm went off at 5:48 Sunday morning. And again a little while later. (Falsely) -The elevators weren't working when we tried to check out (guessing because of the alarm) which was fine but there were no signs up stating that they weren't working and when you walked down the stairwell, there is no signage up showing how to exit to the lobby. Lots of our experience was circumstantial but resulted in a mediocre stay at best. We would stay there again because of how clean our room was and the comfort of the beds. read more

I loved this futuristic hotel, straight out of the Jetsons or something. The staff were kind and accommodating. The elevators were fast and efficient. My room was spacious and recently updated, complete with a huge shower, mini fridge and comfy bed. The cafe in the lobby has great food and good drinks. The breakfast buffet is a must visit, too. Great food and all the (Canadian) bacon, please. Fine I'll throw in some fresh fruit, too. There's even a wonderful restaurant on the top floor that rotates as you dine, allowing for fantastic views of booming downtown Edmonton. I knew I was in for a great time when I had the craziest deja vu as I rolled up to the front door in a taxi. I guess I've literally dreamt of coming here for years. read more

I got a great deal on a King-size room with a river valley view at the Crowne Plaza, and I ended up pretty pleased with the experience. The room was clean, bright, and comfortable. I was disappointed with the lack of a fridge and the old-school tube TV that wasn't very big, but I probably shouldn't watch as much TV as I do anyway. Now, I don't know if it's due to the circular nature of the hallways or if it was specific to our room, but anytime anyone came up to our floor to go to their room, you could hear everything as if they were walking around with cement shoes and talking to each other through megaphones. It was outrageous, especially when one group of particularly raucous party girls were up there and decided to make plans while in the hallway. Of course, I do occasionally enjoy a little guilt-free eavesdropping, so I don't have much to complain about, but they could sound-proof the rooms a little better. read more

I came here with a Yelp Rodeo Week Food Crawl. We were invited to Bellamy Lounge to try their steak sandwich, which is their special for Rodeo Week. The lounge is in the main level of the Chateau Lacombe. The scenery is beautiful out the windows but it seems that the lounge is rather dated. The chairs looked like they would be more comfy than they were, and I felt like I couldn't sit back in them enough. The open face steak sandwich came out, and it was rather good. The steak was a decent size, and it was really juicy. It was served on a crispy baguette, but turned soggy due to the steak juices. I got to try their mashed potatoes and a salad as sides. The mashed potatoes, while hot, lacked flavor and creaminess. I like my potatoes quite creamy. The salad was good. Simple greens, with shredded carrots, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and a balsamic vinaigrette. The server, while polite, was a bit distant. We didn't get much interaction with her, or anyone else at the hotel which was disappointing. read more

The best I can say is that the staff were quite nice and helpful. That said, I've stayed in many hotels in downtown Edmonton, on business and while visiting friends, and Chateau Lacombe was the worst by a country mile. To say the hotel is overrated, outdated, and totally overpriced is an understatement. To give it one star, is generous (again, the nice staff deserve a mention). To start, the bathroom was disgusting. The tub was discoloured with moldy tiles. It was chipped and had been re-enameled at some point.... clearly, over a decade or more ago. The ceiling above the tub was peeling. There was no fan in the bathroom and a sign indicated that if the door was not closed while showering, the fire alarm would go off. Totally second rate, flea-bag motel style. There was no fridge or microwave in the unit and no functioning ice machine on our floor. In addition, the TV was ancient, difficult to use, and would randomly turn off. The remote control that was glazed with filth and grime. We had to sanitize it with alcohol swabs and still thought it might be contagious. I went to the gym for a workout and every single weight machine was broken. In addition, the temperature in the fitness center was extremely hot, close to 30 Celsius - not conducive to a comfortable workout. There was grafitti in the elevator coming up from the parkade. However, given that the wallpaper was peeling, that's at least an easy fix. Last, we were interrupted by noise right outside the door. We noticed that someone had slipped a flyer for their restaurant under our door. In other words, Chateau Lacombe either lacks the security to shield guests from unwanted solicitations (the elevators do not require a key card) or they partner with restaurants to harass guests. Listen, I've traveled the world and stayed in worse places but I've never paid a premium to do so. I paid over $50 a night more than I would have at other reasonable and decent downtown Edmonton hotels where I've stayed comfortably in the past. Chateau Lacombe is unfathomably overrated. You will pay less and be happier virtually anywhere else. read more

Chateau Lacombe seems like a fancy name but don't let the name get you. I arrived here on a Monday early morning for a business trip. As I got my room key to go up to my room, the room itself was out dated. I got two double beds since it was cheaper than the king size bed. When you walk it there's a closet to your right, the bathroom and a hallway. The bathroom needed some deep cleaning because there was yellow stains in the shower and on the floor. Pretty gross! When I laid down the bed wasn't comfortable as well as the pillows but being tired I didn't care. Oh yeah beware your key may not work all the time, I had to go back downstairs about two times to get into my room because my key wouldn't work. Very inconvenient especially when your tired. read more

The all newly renovated Chateau Lacombe hotel is just a beautiful facility for events like weddings and banquets. A stunning place to come for lunch or a night cap at Bellamy's Lounge as well as dinner or weekend brunch at La Ronde. The newly renovated hotel rooms, with their breathtaking views of the river valley and downtown city scape are simply stunning. I recently was in a bridal party and we had the main meeting room on the concierge floor to get ready in. I can honestly say, there is no other locally owned hotel in this city that comes close. Modern, beautiful, stunning views and prime real estate make this hotel a definite 5 star property. From the moment you walk in the doormen/valet/concierge are all so kind and fabulous. I have had a bit of off moments with some not so knowledgeable front desk gals... but, I'm hopeful with time that will change. read more

We booked a room (2adult and 2 kids)for December 28, 2019 and we where charged 210$ for one night stay.The bed linens were torned; the coffee maker was stinky and dirty, with left overs in it .The room was also missing basic amenities like fridge. We have stayed in many hotels, but this is the worst experience that we ever had. We didn't even had the breakfast that we booked, as we were really worried about the quality of food and utensils; we had kids accompanying us and we were concerned about their health. When we intimated the same to the duty manager, she apologized and admitted that she will not accept all these if she were the customer. She requested us to send a detailed mail, so that she could take up this issue with the management; I did the same. Then a manager called Mr Thaha called me and requested me to revisit the hotel for a better experience. But I will never do the mistake again, to lose my money and peace of mind. We regret to say that we are extremely disappointed with their service. Please beware if you are booking rooms with them. We are attaching the photos as well. read more

This was our third stay at the Chateau. We were once again impressed. Front desk check in was stellar. We were early to check in so our room wasn't ready. But, the marvellous agent found us another room asking if it was OK to upgrade us to an executive suite! Of course. The room was HUGE. A very comfortable queen size bed, large bathroom with amenities from Mother Earth, great towels and a living and dining room. And a balcony. We had no issues with the heat. There were two thermostat in the room so the temperature was just fine. Complimentary water and in room coffee and tea. We were on the concierge floor so we tried the breakfast. Nice selection for a continental buffet. We missed the wine and cheese but of past stays are anything, it would be super too. The hotel isn't chic but value for the dollar is extraordinary. Clean, great service, wonderful staff. My husband has added this to his list of hotels for out of town guests. read more

I recently had the chance to check out Chateau Lacombe Hotel while a friend was visiting from out of town. I'd never been here prior to the recent renovations so I can only go on what I experienced while here. The room we stayed in was comparable to any hotel of this caliber. Giant King sized bed with crisp while linens; enough pillows to satisfy any pillow fanatic! Extremely comfortable and slightly on the softer side, like sleeping on a billowy cloud! The dresser was a little dated, but provided enough storage for one person on week stay. Other furniture was typical to any hotel, desk, office chair, small table and armchair. Upon arrival the room was very clean! I always do the same inspection of cleanliness to ensure its up to my standards. Call me paranoid but I've heard so many horror stories! This place passed with flying colours! For breakfast the next morning we ordered room service. Due to the holidays we had a little trouble getting in touch with in room dining, however after a call to front desk they were in touch with us almost immediately. Breakfast arrived quickly and was hot and fresh! We ordered a traditional bacon and eggs. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was just how I like it. The toast was slightly over done and a bit butter sogged... The French toast was supposed to be hazelnut crusted but I didn't see any nuts at all. So, sub par in the food department. I'm not sure if I would stay here personally. However my friend found an amazing deal on a travel web site that couldn't be refused. However, for the price of a typical night stay I'd likely choose another hotel with better amenities. I didn't have any interaction with guest service staff so I cannot comment on that. read more

I was very disappointed that they messed up my booking. I asked for two double bed room and they gave me a king size room so be careful of when you book. Three stars are pretty accurate. Older building that has been renovated. Room was clean, sizeable and comfortable but unfortunately didn't have a fridge. The downtown location is convenient. I'd be willing to book another stay to see if accommodations are consistent. Free wifi is a nice touch. read more

Given how fancy this hotel is, the first impression one gets upon exiting the parkade isn't terribly impressive: the carpeted elevator feels worn and dated. The front desk staff seemed really good at their jobs and the decor seemed nice upon my most recent visit. I've attended an event or two here over the years and the building seems to be nicely renovated since some earlier visits here. I haven't actually stayed here however. Staff are pretty helpful overall. Bellamy's Lounge seems a bit dated and not as comfortable as one might expect from as fancy of a hotel as this one. I've yet to visit La Ronde or any of the hotel rooms, but the conference facilities are pretty decent if my memory serves me correctly. read more

What I liked: -Really stellar customer service, as evidenced by front desk associates who accommodated our every touristy question and concern. This is by far the best part about this hotel. -The personal care amenities (e.g., shampoo, conditioner, soap, and facial bar) were amazing! They were 100% organic and from a local company owned by the indigenous peoples, not to mention I loved the subtle yet strong aromatherapy of the sage. What I didn't like: -The wifi, though free and much appreciated, required login credentials every time your device is inactive. It is the definition of a first world problem, but it was a minor nuisance. -Put simply, I agree with the other reviewers that the name "Chateau Lacombe" suggests a classier, more upscale vibe than what is actually presented. They are under construction though, so perhaps the hotel has better things in store for future guests. -The revolving restaurant on the top floor of the hotel was well-advertised because you can see the a 360 view of the Edmonton skyline, so my professors, peer and I decided to check it out. Well, turns out we couldn't stay more than 15 minutes there, much less actually order anything because we all experienced some form of vertigo. Nice in theory, I suppose. read more

Was a terrific hotel stay, in a great location, and a great value. The concierge floor was outstanding with views of the city. The renovation is ongoing but did not seem disruptive in any way. The new vibe was everywhere. Happy to see an old girl get a face lift. The ownership seems to really know what they are doing. Glad this property landed in good hands. read more

Comfortable enough room. I have to wonder what kind of homes other yelpers live in who are calling this hotel "fancy". I guess its fancy....if you don't have standards. Or live in a trailer. LOL. But....on to more important things...TERRRRRRIBLE internet. I can't even load Yahoo mail. It took me five minutes to even get to yelp.com to post this review. "Yes, people have been complaining. We have a full house." What???? At 2am in the morning, your internet sucks this bad? Every hotel I've stayed at fills up at some point during a week long stay in each city and their internet doesn't get this bad. I have a whole week to stay here, with wi-fi that is about the same as dial-up. With an American cell phone and no roaming data....this is going to suck. Second to cleanliness, fast wi-fi is the most important thing. This is 2016. ANND, the internet service provider customer support is CLOSED on weekends. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Don't stay here if you want to use the internet, or have any need for support for their internet service. I recently stayed at this hotel for a concert. It was nice and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I didn't know until one of the taxi drivers told me that there is a restaurant on the top and that it spins. Next time have to check it out. The room was nice and could see the city. Next time have to check out the river view. The fitness room was well equipped. The wifi however wasn't very fast and cut out every so often. Other than that I would stay here again in the future. read more

This is a pretty middle of the road hotel. Location is great if you need to be downtown. Rooms consist of older well used furniture and the same goes for the fixtures. I stayed here while visiting Edmonton for work. The one thing that was disappointing was the Internet frustratingly slow. So slow it was nearly impossible to get work done in my hotel room. read more

Wow, really like this place! Lovely hotel,with a high end decor. Rooms are very quiet and decorated quite nice. Summer here now, so lots of places to walk to. They provide Free wifi,as well as having a business center. Huge King size beds with lovely linens.incredible view from every room. In the true Canadian nature, wonderful customer service.
