Wonderful wines, great service and nice view of the vineyard and the mountains. I highly recommend the Riesling and their Bordeaux blend.

From the stunning views over the valley below, to the tasty cocktails, to the wonderful eats it was a great way to chillax on a lovely Saturday evening. Having had a not-great experience with wine (at a different venue) earlier in the day, we opted for cocktails here. My extra dirty martini with cheese-stuffed olives was phenomenal, and my friend enjoyed her old fashioned. We shared a roasted beet and burrata salad as an appy, then moved on to our main courses - I got the prime tenderloin and she got the cider glazed pork. We washed it all down with a couple of chocolate espresso martinis for dessert. My tenderloin was cooked to perfection, and accompanied by some sweet little roasted carrots and a lovely heap of mashed potatoes. My friend reported that her pork was more like a stew, and she really enjoyed it. What really put our experience here over the top was the absolutely amazing service we received, especially from our waiter, Trevor. He was friendly, funny, and helped us navigate the menu when we couldn't decide what to get. He also told us a little about the geological history of the area, which is built over an old coal mine. This place wasn't cheap, but for a fun night out of splurging, it was perfect!

Buckle in because I will be utilizing the term "phenomenal" throughout this review. Securing the time for the tasting was a bit of a production. They are closed weekends and are only available Monday through Friday. Their tasting times are either 10 AM, 1 PM, or 3PM. Why the specific times? I'm not sure, however it is what the business sets. We secured the 1PM tasting on a Friday. We were expecting the standard gambit of tastings with other parties, but to our surprise, it was not the case. We had the WHOLE tasting room to ourselves with an in house sommelier guiding through the phenomenal wine tasting. We were provided with personalized menus and a tour of the production area during our appointment. We took a few moments in between our sips of cab to walk to their production facility to see first hand how their wine is made. The tasting consisted of 3 wines. Julio guided us through our tasting. We started with a 2020 Quilceda Blanc, which was phenomenal and comes with a caveat. They do not sell this to the public. I can appreciate the tease there. We proceeded with the 2016 Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, which was phenomenal. We took a walk break and Julio took us on a tour of their facilities where we saw French oak barrels, production line, and an interesting contraption called GALILEOAK. This was a spherical invention from France and is used to age wine. We continued with a tour of their barrel room and walked back to the tasting room. The final tasting was 2022 Palengat, which is a Mach 1 vineyard Horse Haven Hills. The wine left us desiring more. To our surprise, it was available for purchase and we took home half a case. Overall, I can certainly appreciate the exclusivity of this membership. This vintner does one thing and they do it well. Cabernet Sauvignon is their trademark and we see why they have earned multiple 100 points on their wines. Definitely recommend this winery.

They helped with all of the details including food/drink recommendations and the price was very affordable (compared to similar places in Bellevue for example). Most importantly, the majority of my party guests commented to me how great the environment was, how pleasant the staff was and how delicious the beverages were! I would highly recommend Capri Cellars for someone looking for a very chill environment to host a get-together with friends.

We came in with high expectations, and unfortunately this place fell well below even our lowest expectations. The biggest issue was the wine itself. We tried several different glasses, and every one was terrible. The wines tasted spoiled and heat-damaged, which raised serious concerns for us about how the bottles were being stored and handled. For a business positioning itself as a wine-focused establishment--and charging accordingly--that is unacceptable. When the wine is the centerpiece of the experience, getting the wine right should be the absolute minimum. The service somehow made the experience worse. Despite there being only one other occupied table, the servers were inattentive and unable to answer basic questions about the wines being offered. The staff seemed considerably more interested in looking at their phones and talking amongst themselves than engaging with customers. The entire experience felt awkward, unprofessional, and remarkably cheap compared with the prices being charged. There is a major disconnect between this establishment's price point and the quality of its wine, service, and overall experience. You're paying wine-bar prices without receiving anything resembling a proper wine-bar experience. I've received substantially better wine service at casual tasting rooms and wine porches in the Yakima Valley. At least there, you typically get properly presented wine, knowledgeable staff, genuine hospitality, and some sense that the people serving you actually care about what is in your glass. Knowing this establishment is under new ownership made the experience particularly disappointing. Based solely on our visit, quality wine, knowledgeable service, and creating a polished guest experience did not appear to be priorities. We will not return. There are simply too many excellent places to spend your money where you can enjoy properly handled wine, good food, knowledgeable service, and an atmosphere that actually justifies the price. Save your money and go elsewhere.
