We are from California and we like good wines! Our friends live in MN and love coming to this winery. They took us there today. I was a little skeptical of a winery in WI! Chateau Le Croix did not disappoint! Our friends know James, who works there. Omg, he is so awesome! He knows his wine. He is so fun and he took really good care of us!! We bought a few bottles to bring home with us. We are so glad we got to experience this wonderful winery in the middle of WI farmlands!! Thank you James for everything!! We think you are awesome!!

Five stars is for the great tasting wines available. There are not many local wineries that have decent tasting wine and more than one to boot. Marco V is an exceptional red blend and a must try for wine enthusiasts and for the white wine lovers, the Wisconsin White and Minnesota White are crisp and refreshing. The front of the Chateau looks like an Italian estate and the inside is inviting and appealing but the venue center in the back, leaves you wanting more.

I purchased the groupon for tasting for 4. We each got 5 credits for tasting (some of wine was 2 credits), 2 cheese plates, and some chocolates. We also got a $10 credit to spend on a bottle of wine, so overall it was a pretty good deal. My parents were visiting from out of town and they have never been wine tasting before. The staff at chateau were great with explaining the process and making recommendations for them. The cheese plate was very generous with large pieces of cheese and good variety. I do wish we were told what the different kinds were, as we were left guessing. The wine was delicious and I felt the staff did make good recommendations and did a good job of explaining what to expect from each wine. The space is beautiful either plenty of seating. It was raining the day we went and we were happy to find there was a lot of seating indoors. It's also one of the few wineries that's open during the week. I would definitely recommend the drive (especially the fall, it is beautiful) and check out chateau. They have great wine and wonderful hosts.

Stopped by the Chateaux St. Croix Winery this past weekend for their fall festival and had a great time. With the festival we got three free wine tastings and they had food and art vendors set up behind the winery. They also had authentic live German music. The Chateaux St. Croix is an awesome place to stop on a weekend road trip. The building itself is worth the trip as it's modeled after an authentic European chateaux. It's a beautiful piece of architecture, and the wine isn't bad either. They mostly specialize in red wines. Take advantage of the tour of their vineyard and winery. Drive up on a fall day and enjoy the beautiful fall colors.

So I was a little thrown off by the ticket situation. - you pay $7 for 1 ticket, which can be used for wine tasting, a glass of wine or a wine glass. Immediately I knew I wanted to do a tasting, regardless of what that meant. Imagine my surprise when your one ticket really meant 5 wine "tastes" (roughly a 3-4 oz pour). Their whites are on the sweet side, as are their rosés, but their reds tend to be on the drier side. They have probably the largest selection of dessert wines and ports I've seen in the region. We attended the grape stomp festival, which was super fun - there were vendors and two food trucks and a competition you can enter to stomp your own grapes. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable. They have a $12 cheese plate with 5 varieties of cheese and you can add meat for $8. The cheese was plenty to share between 3 of us. The decor and setting are equally beautiful, definitely worth the trip.

Beautiful winery located near the Minnesota Wisconsin border. The Frontenac Rosé was a family favorite. We will be ordering some as soon as it's available to be shipped. The Wisconsin White was another favorite.

The house layout was great for a medium-ish groups: two bedrooms on the main floor, a loft with a couch (and room for an air mattress), and two bedrooms downstairs. We had a group of 12, which I'd say is probably the max, a few people ended up sleeping on couches and I'm not sure how comfortable they were. The indoor pool was such a highlight! We spent most of our time there. It's heated, has Bluetooth speakers for music, and even a projector (though we didn't end up using it). There were plenty of floaties, and it was a great space to relax and hang out as a group. The pool could have been just a bit warmer, but we went in the spring when it was still a little chilly outside--I imagine it's perfect in the summer when the sun warms the space more naturally. Parking was super easy. All 12 of our cars fit in the driveway with no issues, and the house was easy to find. A few small cons: * Since we visited in spring, I'm not sure the place had gotten its full seasonal cleaning yet, some of the windowsills and the area outside were pretty dirty. * The fridge was a bit small for a group of our size. Definitely bring extra coolers, especially if you're stocking up on drinks. * There's no recycling available. We ended up bringing all our recycling home because we didn't want to throw it in the trash.

They also have à la carte options for cheaper if you only need poles or boots, etc.) Besides skiing, outdoor winter activities also include snow tubing, snowboarding, snowshoeing.... You name it. With Kate C. as our guide, I knew this would be a lovely experience. We focused on the goddess Lakshmi and plant Tulsi. Working with both energies really brought out the themes of sunshine, abundance, exploration and love for me. I got to play with all these themes on the property. Lake Osceola Retreat's land is outstanding from both the interior and exterior. Lush rolling green hills, varying ponds, hiking trails, lounge chairs, a swing hanging from the tree, sauna, jacuzzi, flowers, herbs and exterior porch were some of my favorites. The small details such as mosaics around the home made me smile. For wildlife I saw the cutest otter floating on its back for 20 minutes, 1 deer, eagles nest, a yellow bird, squirrels, butterflies, a frog and more. I had a serendipitous connection with another gal regarding the blue vervain plant that filled in a big portion of the landscape. Connected to the land is a lake which contains some kayaks and row boats next to the dock. Swimmers beware: while swimmable, the water is beyond murky and weedy. I did jump in to get the full experience along with a kayak adventure around the entire lake. Being there solo with only 1 other cabin on the lake was serene. The water was like glass everyday as zero motor boats exist. For my room, I had a the red lotus room and slept comfortably. The property has various wings where rooms exist. In my wing, there were 3 rooms and 1 bathroom. The retreat gives you shower towels and every gal brought her own beach towel and toiletries. The best part of the interior of the home was the yoga room where we spent a majority of our time. Yoga props such as mats, blocks, blankets and bolsters are available to use. For my retreat, we had a beautiful alter with flowers, tarot cards, pictures, reading materials and more. We did various yoga classes, guided meditations and women's circles. This space was extremely grounding and healing to me. Each day, my host made a meal. The kitchen was large and boasted a long wooden table big enough for all the gals and more. All the dishes and amenities were available for us to use along with a dishwasher. We had soup, curry, hibiscus tea, eggs, toast, berries, a cacao ceremony, coffee, tea, and dates with peanut butter. I will always remember how clear my mind was coming into this retreat along with after. I felt called to explore, be with women, and absorb myself in nature. All of this was possible because of Lake Osceola'a space and Kate C.'s magic. Thank you for sharing your home - it is absolutely lovely!!
