Over priced merchandise!…read more Most items do not have a price, I asked the cashier for the price of 3 items . The store was empty at the time of the visit. My child was looking at items on a shelf at the register. The cashier asked if we were ready, 20 seconds later, "ready to check out yet!?" Rushing us to leave.. Cashier, tried to switch out my item with a used open box.. Sneaky, impatient cashier.. what a shame.. Go down the block to Murphy's general store for better prices and a happy, welcoming atmosphere.

When I removed the sticker, it left a large circle that was a much darker color. I contacted the store, and they responded right away. They found a replacement hat, confirmed there was no fading, and shipped it to me out of state. I really appreciate their excellent customer service and willingness to make things right! Upon leaving with their new "vacuum cleaner" like push toys I stopped in By The Bay to do a bit more shopping. The twins stayed outside on the deck with their parents pushing their new somewhat noisy toys with so much excitement. I left the store upon hearing the two extremely cranky women inside complaining about the noise. I was in there no more than two minutes. Needless to say they will not receive any of my or my family's business. May have been better not to have opened a shop below a toy store. Rude, unprofessional and NOT kid friendly!!!!!

You can immediately tell with the large red barn on the property, along with the kitschy children "rides" and mini golf lot on the same property, that this place just exists to take as much of your tourist dollars as possible Inside the Gif Barn you will find an amazing collection of dust collectors, tshirts, pet toys, magnets, fudge, outright tacky gifts, everything you could ask that screams "I was in vacation!!" It's AWESOME. I have been coming to this place since I was 10 years old, begging my parents to stop so we could get a totally useless souvenir. I can't tell you how many shells, shiny rocks, shell necklaces etc I have purchased here over the years. This trip was no different. It would not have been complete without a stop at the Gift Barn. What was a surprise was how outrageously priced everything is now. I guess since the majority of the items is "made in China", they get hit with the tariffs and so of course we the customer has to pay for them.
