Over priced merchandise! Most items do not have a price, I asked the cashier for the price of 3 items . The store was empty at the time of the visit. My child was looking at items on a shelf at the register. The cashier asked if we were ready, 20 seconds later, "ready to check out yet!?" Rushing us to leave.. Cashier, tried to switch out my item with a used open box.. Sneaky, impatient cashier.. what a shame.. Go down the block to Murphy's general store for better prices and a happy, welcoming atmosphere. read more

Great experience! I purchased a hat during my visit to Cape Cod, but after flying home a few days later, I discovered the hat had faded around a sticker on it. When I removed the sticker, it left a large circle that was a much darker color. I contacted the store, and they responded right away. They found a replacement hat, confirmed there was no fading, and shipped it to me out of state. I really appreciate their excellent customer service and willingness to make things right! Also, they had a lot of fun items in store. My younger cousins bought some really fun new toys including a butter squishy toy that smells like actual butter. It made us all want popcorn! read more

I have taken my kids to Dr. Gravity's every summer since they were babies, and we still love the place. It's part of the Harwich experience. Sure, most of the toys are cheap and won't last long. But so what? Kids will always find something fun. read more

Please do not go to either the candy store or the toy store. Both are tourist traps, with also terrible service. Along with this, someone close to me was accused of stealing candy while also being unwillingly photographed. There are also reviews telling a similar story, minus the photograph part. Please don't enter either of these stores if you don't want to be accused of robber. read more

What a FUN store. You know that feeling of "I feel like a kid in a candy store!". Well, take that feeling, but make it a kid in a toy store (meets kite shop). I'm aware that's definitely a normal combo but you know what I mean. We were walking around Harwich Port and just kinda came across this store on our midday stroll and wanted to check it out. The second you walk in, your eyes go in a million directions just because there's so much to look at! We all loved it! It's loaded with puzzles, board games, books, action figures, little gifty trinkets, etc. There's truly something for all ages it seems. It really sends you back into a nostalgic world when you're walking around. The whole ceiling was covered in kites. We almost bought one just to try one out (it's been yearssss). So cool. There's nothing quite like this shop. Definitely a huge fan! read more

Hey, this place is adorable! Been meaning to stick my head in here ever since I moved to Harwich Port. Finally got around to doing it, and am a little annoyed at myself for putting it off! Not just kites and flags, but beachy gear, games, toys, etc. Really fun place to browse. Go out the back door and there is Dr. Cavity's Candy Shack. tee hee! Bulk candy and shelf items. There wasn't an employee in there when we wandered in, so Joe went to ask for someone. The girl rushed in and was SO apologetic. You would have thought she kept us waiting on surgery or something. She literally cut open boxes of recently shipped candy so that Joe's nieces could have a full browsing experience. I was very impressed. The Candy Shack does not take credit cards, but if you don't have enough cash there is a chance they'll just give you a receipt and you can pay at Dr. Gravity's with a card. I felt like I was on the honor system a lot, but I was also there on a Tuesday morning. I am not sure if you'd get the same treatment if it was a July weekend. Overall, I was really impressed and Joe's nieces were very happy. I think it was their favorite place in Harwich Port! I only took a star off bcs this place is mega cramped. I can't fathom going in there during peak hours! Also, I wouldn't mind if they went a little more toward the gaming side of things, but that is really just me wanting a local gaming store within walking distance! :P read more

Used to like this store until i came into it tonight. I was hoping to enjoy a nice night in harwich port with my friends. we went into dr gravitys and looked at a lot of the things there were to buy, my friends and i went over to look at this toy there was and it was already opened and the container was cracked. it was some kind of squishy stress ball type of thing and we just felt it. some employee thought she saw us open it and told another employee. the employee came over to us and started being very aggressive with us. we told him it was already opened and that we didn't break it. my family friend who is ten years old and isn't even from here said "well i don't have money so i wouldn't break it and couldn't pay for it." and then the employee got very aggressive and basically called him intelligent and said "you realize that has nothing to do with any of this." my other friend said "i'll pay for it if you want me too" and he responds with "well why would you pay for it if you didn't break it" and i also said i would pay for it if he really needed me to. he said " well don't break anything else" when we didn't break anything in the first place. This guy that yelled at us was tall and had curly hair with square black glasses. i feel that the employees at this store are not very nice and i will not be coming back to this store which is a shame. read more
