Ashley, you are a rock star and made my day with your awesome talent and personality! Your quiet confidence and passion for hair and your customers had me instantly relaxed from the moment we shook hands and extended throughout my appointment. You are a great listener and cared about what I wanted. Your suggestions for after care were great too! For $42 you can get a wash, cut and style and at the end I opted for a blow out. My hair looks great! I was not asked the usual annoying questions about what product I use in my hair and do I want to buy this or that for the up sell... we just had great conversation and when I wanted to browse through my magazine, she respected a few moments of silence while the blow dryer was on. I was her main focus compared to other places where staff were checking their cell phones, talking to other staff members or answering business calls to take other hair appointments. Ashley is a terrific gal and the rest of the staff were friendly too. You will be offered a coffee or tea as you come in and the shop to browse was airy, well stocked and clean. My appointment also started right on time! Close to home and there is convenient parking in the large lot - I will be back for certain! read more

I have only ever written 5 star reviews about Chatters. I've been going to Chatters for over 15 years, once a week for blowouts and for colour. I also purchase all of my products there. Just recently I had the most disappointing and frustrating experiences at Chatters Sarcee location in a Calgary. So much so, I am writing a review because it was dealt with terribly and I would strongly discourage anyone for using this location!! Crowfoot location, on the other hand, has excellent customer service and stylists! Like I said, I have been going to Chatters once a week and there is a certain stylist I've seen at Sarcee location (I won't name because I still love her work and she is a lovely person) quite often. I have NEVER in 15 years been a "no show". Yes, I will admit, there may have been a few times (I can count on one hand) that I've called in to say I am running 5 minutes late... and they've always assured me it's fine and to come in. However, this past Monday I called in to pre book an appointment with stylist and Pam (receptionist) went to book it and said "sorry. You cannot book an appointment. You can only be a walk in because you've had several no shows." I told her I've never had a no show and to talk to the stylist to prove it. She responded, "well stylist is who told me to write note on your file." I told her that's impossible and asked that I speak to stylist (pam said she was with client and would call me back-- she didn't. I also asked that manager call me back. She didn't.). I continued to explain that I've never had a no show and that this is very embarrassing that this is on my file. Pam replied (incredibly cold and snarky), "I remember you. You're the one with all of the files on the system." (I have lived in BC and Alberta and when I travel to different places I always go to Chatters and I'm assuming they've created several Accounts for me which has been super frustrating alone because my points get lost and don't get built up because they're all over the place! OBVIOUSLY I didn't make up all of these accounts!!! I don't have access to their computers!!) Anyways, Pam brings this point up as though I did something else wrong! I ended conversation by asking her to get a manager and stylist to call me back as if this wasn't resolved soon, I wouldn't want to book because it's absolutely humiliating. Neither did one did. I called Tuesday, asked to speak to manager who I explained all of this to, and she said it was against policy to not book appointments for clients. She said there was no note on my file or any evidence of a no show in my 15 years! She said that the system makes any time I might be late (as explained above) as a no show. She said that was their error and she would be speaking to Pam, my stylist, etc. And get back to me with a solution as this was very bad customer service to make me feel uncomfortable, have to prove my reputation, and be treated this way. She said she would call me back within the day because this was something that she assumed I'd feel bad waiting around for. She didn't call back. I called at 5:30pm and she had left for the day. I left a message with receptionist to call me back. Wednesday, I called and spoke to Pam (10:30am) and asked to speak to manager. She said she wouldn't be in until 11am. I asked for her to call back. She didn't. Thursday I didn't have a chance to call in again, but no one contacted me after two notes left and multiple promises. Today I phoned in and spoke to the manager I had been talking to. She said she had been off for personal reasons, but both she and reception had said the other manager was in. I asked what the "solution" to all of this was and she essentially repeated exactly what was said Monday. I have never been a no show. They were wrong. Sorry to put you through all of that. I can get stylist to call you and apologize (I told her I didn't need that. I don't the stylist to apologize for anything. I still don't even know if it was true that the stylist asked Pam to write that note on my file?). I said to manager that it has been a long week of me leaving messages and wondering what is going on and not booking another appointment anywhere else for Saturday because I was hoping this would be resolved. Is this typical protocol?? She said "well we can give you a discount on next service." I told her I didn't want to book an appointment with them and felt totally uncomfortable and disappointed with service and how they handled this. Horrible customer service. Very bad attitudes and rude to customers. This isn't the first time! After 15 years of going there, you'd think they'd want to keep a client and make an effort to? read more

Well, I just received a call from my wife a distraught little 7 year old daughter. They had a great stylist Natashia do her hair. After drying, her hair, which is curly, was a bit offset on one side. My wife called to see if she could speak to Natashia about having her take a look and comment on it. Instead she was told that stylists are not allowed to speak to clients over the phone and was forwarded to the stylist manager, called Sarah who proceeded to berate my wife telling her how curly hair works (we have 4 daughters all with curly hair), and how she is clearly complaining and they can't do much about how hair dries. I could share how infuriating this is, but instead I will be one of those "walk away forever" customers who not only politely agrees to disagree, but also posts on every social media available the terrible experience we had. Chatters Beacon Hill, you can expect this review to go on many sitres, go to the franchise owner and go to Chatters central as well. I came here upon recommendation from a friend. She pays a lot of attention to her hair, and has been going to this Chatters for a couple of years, so I trusted her and went with a group of friends. As the people were fairly friendly, I paid around $45 (including tip) and all I got was a regular trim. She cut my hair about an inch to get rid of the split ends, cut my bangs and offered to straighten my hair (my hair is curly). At the beginning she asked me what kind of style I wanted, and I asked her for her recommendation on what would look best for my face shape, as I wanted a change with my hairstyle. She said she'll do her best and once she finished cutting it, she kept asking me if I wanted it straightened. Over and over again I asked if this hair would look nicely curled, and how to style it on my own. She just kept saying: Yes it'll look good. Do you want your hair straightened? In the end she straightened my hair, and after I washed it out there really was no change in my hair at all. I'm disappointed. Never again. I only go here to look for nail polishes sometimes. But I found it expensive since I wasn't happy with the end result. read more

I had booked an appointment for June 19th and when I reached Chatters at Beacon Hill the front staff there let me know that the stylist had gone home because she felt sick ( understandable because of COVID). It was an inconvenience for me to come all the way there and have my appointment canceled. The girl at the front (receptionist) then offered to give me a discount on the next appointment because of this inconvenience. She then went on to book me for June 22nd the Monday with another hairstylist and once again said we will give you a discount when you come on Monday and I will leave a note. I came for hair cut on Monday and got mediocre -cut the stylist wasn't that great. The price of the hair cut 50 dollars which were unbelievable but I said ok at least i get a bit of discount. I told the girl at the front what happened on Friday and all she says is " we can't give you a discount" which puzzled me. She then called her manager and I guess the manager said i will have to pay now and they would contact me in a few days regarding this and maybe give me some money back. I said ok but I was super upset. The girl took my cellphone number and did I get a call? OBVIOUSLY NOT. Very disappointed. I would have gone to my regular chatters if they hadn't offered me a discount. The one chatters that never Disappoints is the Sunridge Chatters. read more

I will never go back there again I usually go to deerfoot meadows chatters but decided to try one closer to my house what a mistake from now on I wil drive across the city. I wanted half an inch cut off 2 inches later I'm surprised my scalp is not bleeding. She did not flat iron my hair I always do she did not understand English so she did not understand what I was saying it is probably the worst haircut I have ever got I would never recommend anyone go there read more

I've been to this location a few times now and have been with Sarah. Shes awesome; great customer service, honest and extremely talented. She knows what would look good and helps me figure out what I want. I've gotten 3 different colours and styles with her now and haven't been disappointed. I was over charged once (I didn't even notice) and received a phone call right away to fix it. Love love love the cleanliness and professionalism! read more

I dropped in one afternoon this summer to see if I could get in for a quick haircut. I got in right away with Lisa and have been coming back ever since. I've been to the Beacon Hill Chatters several times now and have nothing but good to say about it. Specifically Andrew - he did NOT talk my ear off which was nice but did make polite conversation, he listened to what I had in mind for my hair and offered suggestions and then made it happen! I felt very confident that he knew exactly what he was doing which is not always the case at some salons. My hair looked much better than I expected it could actually and the best part was I did NOT have a heart attack when it came to paying! No surprises at the till which is alway nice! read more
