I was disappointed to see that the resort was not handicap friendly. Someone using a wheelchair or a mobility scooter would have an impossible time moving from one end of the building to another without having to be carried up or down a small series of steps. The showers had no hand holds. The shower floors have very small anti slip stripes that only covered a portion of the shower floor. I can't understand how it is considered a four star resort when it had a serious 1975 feel. read more

I spent one night at this Conference and hotel for a symposium. There is not that I can complain about regarding Chauncey Conference Center. The woman at the front desk, Jocelyn (sp?), is a pleasure and very helpful. I did not have any issues with any of the other staff members that I encountered during my short stay - all were pretty nice. Instead of having a room in the main hotel, I stayed in the Laurie House (a 1-2 minute walk from the main hotel), which has a very rustic, BnB vibe. It did not really feel like a hotel room, but rather, more like a fancy bedroom (the bed was awesome). My only issue with my room is that there were not too many outlets, and I had to iron my clothes in the bathroom, which was not a major inconvenience. Overall, the grounds are pretty quiet, except for the sounds of nature. There is not much in the area so you will not be able to do much exploring unless you have your own mode of transportation or take an Uber. An uber into town is about $10. The Conference Center has a small gym with the basics and a saltwater pool. If you are into outdoor running the area is beautiful and there are a few easy trails on the "campus". In terms of location, this would be a great place to have a wedding or a private getaway, but I do not think that I would stay here more than a couple of days. read more

I loved the breakfast in particular! The snacks they put out in between meals were solid. The cookies are delicious! The WiFi was spotty, and it took forever to get logged in. The hotel at the conference center has the SMALLEST rooms with the SMALLEST bathrooms I have ever seen in any American hotel, uncomfortable furniture ...and no room service! I recently stayed at the Chauncey for a work function, and really enjoyed my time here! Every single staff member I encountered was incredibly polite and friendly. The grounds are beautiful - unfortunately the weather was pretty mediocre the whole time I was here, it would have been *amazing* if it wasn't cold and rainy! The room was very comfortable - very spacious, it opened directly out into a central garden, nice products provided in the bathroom, and a *lot* of towels and extra bedding already in the room. Oooh, and bonus points for free wired and wireless internet. I ate several meals in the Solomon Dining Room, and all of them were quite delicious! It was all served buffet style, but all the dishes were very fresh and tasty. I also drank several beers in their Bar, which was very nice. They had a couple pool tables AND a foosball table! Had a great time - despite the couple of missing players on the table (and the table's tendency to let the ball roll right into my goal). Overall, this place was pretty awesome. Probably should be 4.5 stars, only a couple annoyances, but nothing worth actually complaining about. read more

I stayed at the Chauncey Inn twice now and will definitely stay there again. It is very pleasant. The foyer has a fireplace and a great sitting area. The rooms are comfortable and even have a Keirig coffee machine inside them. I could also log into Netflix with my account which was a plus. The only thing is that a refrigerator costs $15 extra a night and a microwave also costs $15 extra a night. That's annoying. It should be included. My room was on the first floor and was a bit hard to find. The overall location is a bit off the main roads so it's also a bit hard to navigate. The staff were friendly and were very cooperative with directions however. Thank you. read more

Came here for afternoon noon via a Living Social promotion. The place was situated in the huge non-profit ETS camp ground and has a tranquil garden with a fountain and bright red painted lounge chairs. We were offered choices of eight different kinds of teas and three layers of finger foods. The top layer scones were fresh and authentic when spread with Devonshire cream. The middle layer sandwich breads were a little stale. The bottom layer had common too-sweet American cookies. They also offered a glass of Champagne as part of the deal but was wondering what would Queen Mother thought if she was offered that as part of her afternoon cream tea? read more

Came here for a bridal showcase and was surprised by the grounds and the food! The outdoor tent had really nice views of the landscape and the buffet had a small sample of different appetizers: sushi, cheese plates, grilled vegetables, cold cuts, pasta bar and drinks! I left pretty full especially after all the cake samples. The staff continued to serve all the guests throughout the event and everything went smoothly. This venue is located outside of downtown Princeton, "in the cut" as I like to say, in the wooded area off the beaten path. We almost missed it driving down Rosedale Road but just look out for signs. We came here since I had a Living Social deal for Tea for 2. I brought my mom. Upon entering the center, we were greeted by the front lobby staff. We were directed to the upstairs dining area where tea was being held. *Be sure to call ahead since they serve tea at certain times during the weekend. The dining area is clean, airy, and modernly decorated. We had a view of the back area of the center and could see a tent. I think there was a wedding there the night before. Our server brought out our samples of tea and we both chose the Acai Pomegrante tea. She brought us some nibbles on a 3 tier tray. How lovely! The scones were delicious and fresh. The sandwiches were good, but the bread was a bit stale. Tea was nice! We used dainty little tea pots which came with a strainer to catch the loose leaves. We had such a nice time and appreciated the patience and friendliness of the waitress. She was a doll. I think everyone should make time for tea at Chauncey, especially if you're in the area. read more

RUDE RUDE AND RUDE. This place made my friends wedding the most rude and uneventful time of our life, starting with check in. I called to check in an the lady said 'did you just call?' I said i dont think so? As i was confused. Then when i got there i got room service and they said to leave the tray outside when we were done..... welll the tray stayed therre all night and was still there when i left the next morning. There was also mold in the ceiling vent and dead bugs in the light... I will not be returning here They turned what should've been a fun and nice relaxing wedding into a disaster! Arrived at the Chauncey Hotel & Conference Center later after 10:00 pm. There was construction every where, no parking in front of the hotel. I had to carry my stuff from the parking lot to the hotel lobby since the side door near the parking lot was locked. To get into the elevator was also a challenge. The temperature at the front desk was cool, but my room and the hallway was hot. The receptionist told me that the hotel was closed for three days. I don't think Chauncey Conference Center can reach the standards of a three star hotel, better stay as a conference center. The next morning, the buffet breakfast offered both warm and cold dishes, the best breakfast in the Princeton area I have tried so far. Personal I think Chauncey Conference Center should position as a party and conference center, not compete with other hotels in the Princeton area. read more

I had afternoon tea with a group of ladies. The company I was with was lovely and our server was attentive and wonderful but that was about it. Prior to going I had some questions so I emailed Cathy who never bothered to respond to the email. Given the other comments about her here on Yelp, this behaviour was to be expected from her. The desserts on the 3 tiered tray resembled cut up Entemann's. The sandwiches were lackluster, especially the radish and cucumber. There was no choice in which sandwiches you were going to get, so I got the ones I would not eat - those that contained mayonnaise. I don't like to pay for what I can not and will not eat. The tea. Really sloppy. And cold. Why was it cold? It started out hot in the pot but there was no individual tea warmers. So, as you went to have your 2nd or 3rd cup, it was cold. Finally, don't advertise fine bone china and set the table with chipped china. I wont be returning. read more

Oh God, what the Hell is wrong with you people. 4 and 5 stars? Really? This place feels like a convalescent home. This is nothing but wheelchair ramps and paper thin doors, because old people don't make noise. Priceline booked me in this place because Priceline hates me. I was hoping for a DoubleTree like I always get with Priceline and for some reason I was fucking stuck here. Yeah, the ground are beautiful. Yeah, it was pretty to see deer everywhere. But you know what, this place made me feel like this is where I never want to live when it's time for me to get ready to die. The food at the lounge area sucks. But thankfully I met up with a couple of girlfriends who live around Princeton and we got really drunk at the bar. I actually had to get peeled out of the bar for being a hot mess. I feel bad for that bartener, I was harassing him for hours with things he didn't need to hear, but I left him like a 50 dollar tip. Then again, he DID get us hammered and didn't charge us. Sounds like a good deal to me. But just because HE was awesome doesn't make this place any better. He told me he was happy to have me around, because he normally gets boring old folks who barely speak to him. We were the higlight of his entire career there. This place is dead at night. And by night I mean sundown. There's nothing going on here, at all, what-so-ever. You have to go into town to do anything. Princeton is just boring. But you're better off staying at a Bed & Breakfast like the Peacock Inn or something. read more

This place was really great, mostly because of how dog friendly it was. They gave us a room on the first floor that had a door which led directly outside to a lawn for when my dog needed to do his business. No walking through the lobby first thing in the morning to rush outside - literally walk outside the door. Just be sure to slam the door behind you because it didn't close that well. Aside from that, the beds were comfortable, the staff was super friendly, and the grounds were beautiful. The heat lamp in the bathroom was a great surprise and so was the single cup Keurig. Definitely will be staying here again. read more

A nice setting but the rooms are showing age. No coffee in my room. Others in my group said they had it. Worst of all no paper in the morning! Lunch service is short being over at 1:30. I arrived at 1:25 and was told to use room service. When I did I ordered a salad and was told 10 minutes. Forty minutes later I called asking what happened and was told something about the order just coming to the kitchen. I did get my salad about 5 minutes later. I will say this for them - their people are very friendly and accommodating. Service in the bar was excellent! read more

A really lovely place to take someone who's never experienced afternoon tea. It's pretty much out in the middle of nowhere but the surroundings are relaxing and calm. Sort of reminds me of a retreat or rehabilitation center for rich people. Not that that's a bad thing. I saw a deer outside the window as we were roaming the halls and waiting for the bar and dining area to open. We went here last year because of the Living Social special they were running for Afternoon Tea. Had a great experience. We started off with champagne and each received our own pot of tea. Cute little tea sandwiches and pastries came out on three tiered plates. This was probably the more fancier afternoon teas that I've been to. Probably a wrong decision on my part on taking my boyfriend. This place better suits a girl's day out, mother's day out, or treating that special woman in your life to a lavish luncheon. read more

This is the loudest Hotel I have ever stayed at in the last 23 Years of traveling. The walls and floor are paper thin you can here people just walking down the hall. I've been here for 2 weeks and was looking at another 3 weeks but have decided to leave because I work 7 days a week and the lack of rest I get here is not worth the convenience of this hotel. KEEP AWAY: We prepaid in full for a room via Hotwire. Upon arriving the same night at 10:30, we found that Chauncey had canceled our reservation, requiring a 15 minute check-in with a tired child. They required a credit card to reinstate the reservation, and for incidentals. We stayed at the hotel for a total of 12 hours, where I managed to tolerate an ongoing allergic reaction to the mold and mildew evidenced by the musty smell that permeates every area from the lobby to the halls to our actual room. Before checkout, my partner discovered that when the reservation was reinstated, she was charged AGAIN for the room by the hotel. She informed the desk person, who said he would reverse the charges. Upon returning home, not only did we discover that he had not reversed the charges, but that he had actually charged us A THIRD TIME for the room. So far we've spent an hour and a half on the phone and email disputing the charges, and still haven't received our money back. I love Hotwire, but this is such a bad experience I am loathe to use the site again. read more

Stayed here unexpectedly with my boyfriend. It was a tad bit creepy in the halls. The setup of this hotel doesn't really feel like a hotel. Got lost a few times because it's very large. Beautiful room with balcony. I think the bathroom was outdated and didn't match the room itself. But not terrible. Keurig was a nice touch in the bathroom. Room service and hotel restaurant was cheap and very good for the price. We ordered dinner and lunch in which we tried the steak, Black bean burger, Blackened salmon, buffalo wings, salad and lastly the NY Cheesecake so yummmmy! Pool was good very surprised by all the equipment in the gym. Felt very warm and at home in the chauncey. Will stay again!! read more

Ok follow up... So mixed reviews for Chauncey as an Wedding Venue... + : beautiful grounds!!! makes for amazing pictures the possibility of having wedding + reception outdoors open bar food OK (don't ask for vegetarian or vegan tho!) Tent is nice and big nice hotel rooms onsite (it's a hotel) - : Cathy, the event planner! A nightmare to work with! Music off at 11pm I only had 6 months to plan this wedding and finding this venue in Princeton was great! I wanted an outdoor wedding and this pace offers that. We had no money aside for a wedding and this place is affordable, especially in Hopewell Valley. You can get a regular menu + open bar from 100$/person. But dealing with Cathy was traumatizing to me. She was not available, snappy, rude, she kept saying "no" to everything and would say "yes" a few weeks later, tried to change prices a million times, tried to charge us extra for standard things, etc...At some point I just couldn't deal with her anymore and my husband and mother-in-law would communicate with her in my place. On the wedding day, my mother-in-law took care of all the last (many) details while I was getting ready. She was sweet too keep me in the dark of everything that went wrong that day :) But here is an extract of the complaint letter she sent to the Chauncey: "I am writing to let you know about Cathy Geer. For the 6 months or so that my daughter-in-law, Claudine, was preparing for her wedding, she expressed so much stress about dealing with Cathy. I didn't know though, if the problem was stemming from Claudine, being that she is French, and might have cultural differences. At one point Claudine was so stressed out by Cathy, that she asked my son and me to meet with her. But when the wedding day arrived, I realized that the problem is with Cathy. At one point, I overheard the bridesmaids making a joke "OMG! I've been Cathy'd!" To be Cathy'd, they told me, means that Cathy has come up to you: Approached you and given you an order, in a rude, condescending, or autocratic way. The experience for these young women, to be bossed around in this way, was apparently quite shocking, and thus they began to support each other, and validate each other by making this "I've been Cathy'd" joke. Here are some of my personal experiences of the day of the wedding to give you a sense: 1. Cathy was nowhere to be found except for just a few times I caught her walking by. 2. When I'd ask her a question, she'd answer me in an angry and blunt way. 3. I asked if the televisions could be turned off. This is my son's wedding. I didn't want tv shows to be blaring in the room, The man behind the desk, and Cathy told me they'd do it, but I had to ask 4 times for this. 4. I asked Cathy, 30 minutes before the guests arrived, if she could have someone clean the bird poop off the chairs at the gazebo. She snapped at me angrily, saying "I'm doing my job!" Frankly, I don't think this request was exactly over the top. 5. I asked Cathy, if the floor of the tent could be attended to. This did not happen, as there were rotten cherry tomatoes, tops of beer, plastic wrappings, etc on the floor. 6. I asked Cathy for a table to be set up in the tent for gifts. This was on her plan with Claudine. Claudine had asked that no black linens be used in the tent, and Cathy had agreed. The table was not set up until I asked, and then they had black tablecloths. Then they used the table for coffee anyway, so again there was no gift table. 7. I was setting up a table in the corner of the tent where no eating tables were, with a bridesmaid and her boyfriend, when Cathy came into the tent and demanded "We are setting up now, you will have to vacate!" The bridesmaid, of course, said "OMG We've been Cathy'd" I don't see any reason that Cathy had to speak with us in that manner. A polite and cheery request would have sufficed. 8. So all in all I made 4 requests. 3 of them should have been taken care of by Cathy if she were doing her job. And yet, she went to my son, and told him that I had been following her around all day bothering her. If my son had not had a sense of humor, this could have led to a very negative strain on our relationship 9. It was already half hour late and Cathy was nowhere to be found until then. I asked her if I should ask the guests to go to the gazebo. She snapped at me ! At this point, I thought to myself how it would have been for Claudine to have had to deal with Cathy like this all day. I am 56 years old, and I didn't take anything Cathy said or did personally. But for a young woman, on the day of her weddingto have to deal with this kind of behavior would be so distressing for her I really don't know how you can have her working in this job?" Conclusion: If you book the Chauncey, get a wedding planner that will be there for you throughout the planning and the wedding day. It's a good investment because Cathy is horrible to work with. read more

I stayed at Chauncey for about a week as part of a company training course. On my first day I needed to ship a small package, and the front desk said that they'd do it for me. Unfortunately they never did. I had purchased tracking for the package, and USPS's tracking service showed that it never got to USPS. Someone at Chauncey either lost or stole it, which is unfortunate because the contents were reasonably valuable. What's worse is that I called the hotel repeatedly over the next ~month trying to figure out what happened, and they weren't even remotely helpful. I got one phone call returned out of many, many promises. Very disappointed - I've never had anything like this happen at a hotel before. read more

This review is for our wedding on Saturday, October 3rd. Where do I start? The planning was absolutely seamless from our initial meeting with Cathy Geer, a little over a year before the event, to the day of. We were confident in Cathy's abilities from Day 1. The grounds are gorgeous and we planned for over a year to have a lovely early Fall wedding in the gazebo and tent outside, unfortunately, due to Hurricane Joaquin, we were moved inside 3 days before the event. While slightly disappointed, it was out of anyones control, I still maintained my confidence in this venue and staff. Not ever having seen the inside event space dressed for a wedding, I was blown away. What a lovely job they did accommodating our party of 100. We had such a memorable evening. A few notes about the staff... Cathy Geer: You won't find a more knowledgable and dedicated Catering/Sales Manager. Her suggestions throughout the planning were spot on, she understood my vision and she let me have it. I read a review once that she was "snappy" or "rude". Having worked in the restaurant industry, my viewpoint could be different than someones who hasn't, but I don't read her that way at all. In fact, I was quite shocked when I read that. She knows what she's doing, she's done hundreds of events both at the Chauncey and previous venues and she is clear and concise in her instructions and her suggestions because she has seen it all. She knows how to make your event successful and that's why you need her, so trust her. I'd rather work with a professional with years of experience than someone who "yeses" me to death then can't deliver. Executive Chef, Brian Wagner: Chef Wagner is fairly new to the Chauncey, coming from Vegas he is used to servicing a large amount of people at the same time. I chose to deviate from the offered menu, well before Chef Wagner's arrival, and he not only agreed to my Family Style service but he delivered in expert fashion. I heard the cocktail hour was spectacular, I was too nervous to eat, and I was kicking myself the next day for not forcing myself to eat after my guests were telling me how great the food was. I WANT A REDO!!! :) I love food. I didn't want the standard offering of 3 protein choices, some string beans that have seen better days, and some piped mashed potatoes like we've all seen at wedding factory venues. If you love food, like I do, and want some decision making power in your menu, than this is a great venue for you. Kelly McGregor, Conference Planning Coordinator: Kelly handled all of my room block reservations and my two day rental of the Laurie House B&B on the property. She was always attentive, answered my calls and emails incredibly quickly and treated my guests well. She was an integral part in the success of my wedding weekend. Additional note: I bit the bullet and chose to secure the Laurie House for Friday and Saturday night for my entire bridal party. It was an amazing decision on my part. It was nice to have everyone centrally located. I chose to have champagne and orange juice delivered at 10am the day of and lunch around noon. It was handled beautifully and the food was delicious and abundant. There was a teachers conference going on in the house at the same time due to Hurricane Joaquin and everyone having to be juggled around. They didn't impact our enjoyment of the house, everyone had to be respectful of one another and their use of the their designated areas. I also chose to have an "after-party" in the bar inside, after the wedding, again that didn't disappoint, the bar staff was attentive and professional even when one guest had a few too many and needed to be cut-off, it was handled quietly and professionally. I had after-party food of sliders and soft pretzels served and that was abundant as well. No one walked away hungry. The included breakfast the next day was in the same room we had the wedding the night before, they gave us our own section of the space and even repurposed my "bride and groom" chair swags from the night before to our chairs that morning. That was a really sweet touch and it made me smile. It's the little thoughtful touches that I will always remember. I tried to be as inclusive as possible in this review to assist other brides and grooms that may be considering this venue. I am hard to please and I walked away very pleased. Visited to discuss a large block of rooms for the weekend of a wedding and hosting the next day brunch for overnight guests. The concierge couldn't have acted more annoyed to be asked for a pamphlet and the woman in charge of events was even terser. Forget the Chauncey for wedding related events if you aren't holding your reception there, according to their event planner they won't consider reserving a block of rooms (or arranging the next day brunch) over 4 months in advance if your wedding won't be on their premises. I wouldn't leave a bad review on policy alone, we also saw their rooms and stayed for lunch. We won't be back. read more

I booked this place though Hotwire so I was not really thrilled to stay here in the first place. But did not have a choice. I work in education so staying on the campus with the ets was not my idea of fun. The room was ok but I was also not thrilled with being in a room that had a door to the outside. I got married here in June 2015 and had an awful experience. I agree with a previous poster that I would not recommend having the wedding here. When we visited, the grounds were nice and Cathy gave us a great tour, which led us to booking the site for our ceremony and reception. However, as soon as we booked, things started to rapidly decline. While Cathy was great at answering questions before we signed, she became unresponsive, or would give curt, unhelpful answers that referred to policy/fact rather than trying to find a solution. For example, when we asked about a backup location in case of rain, she said she wouldn't know anything until 3 days before and couldn't guarantee a location. Fast forward to the day of, and she was nowhere to be seen. Although Cathy was supposed to provide coordination services, my bridesmaids and the moms ended up doing everything for the wedding. As a result, everything seemed hectic and was very late. The food (out of our control) was over 2 hours later than scheduled, and by then, everyone was getting upset. Cathy did nothing to speak with the catering department and I had to find them myself! I would not recommend having your wedding here if you want it to go well! read more

I cannot recommend this place. Although, the front desk staff was courteous on check in, it really didn't get any better from there. The worst is trying to order food from the bar. It was after dinner and we wanted to get appetizers and got there at the same time as another group. They ordered, and then the bartender (no waitress on staff) took our drink order. When he came back with our drinks we ordered chicken wings and nachos. One would think that would be easy. He came back to us to tell us that they only had one order of wings left. We only ordered one order. He seemed confused. Some time passes (15-20 minutes) and the other group received two plates of food. Still nothing for us. A few more minutes and two more plates arrive; for them. After a total of seven plates of food for those four people arrived, the bartender came to us and told us that they were out of wings (a half hour after we ordered). Of course, they were out; he gave it to the other group. After another ten minutes and still no nachos and I got and told him to cancel the order. He said it was almost ready. Forty minutes for nachos? And it was now after ten o'clock. I said forget it. He gave us our sodas for free. Big deal. Forget about room service, which is what we were going to do in the first place. There was no hotel directory in the room, so I went to the front desk and she said everything was on the television. There was no indication in the room that everything was on the television. After searching all the options for about six minutes, we still couldn't locate the menu on the television. Called the front desk and now they think we're stupid. Turns out the room service menu was the same as the bar menu. I guess they only care for groups and weddings and the individual guest is not important. There was a wedding reception going on outside and the music played until after 11:00. You could hear it inside the hotel; it was that loud. Although, this may not be the hotel's fault, but both nights in the middle of the night, there was a heavy footed person walking the halls of the second floor and woke me up. That's how thin their rugs must be. Staff is not friendly or smiling when walking through the halls. The rooms were nice and beds comfortable. We loved this place because of its 70s ski lodge vibe - sunken lobby, big fireplace, gorgeous grounds. We got a terrific deal from Hotwire and upgraded to a suite which with a double high ceiling and enormous king bed and lots of extra room was well worth it. Except for a the plump, grumpy girl at the front desk on Friday night who checked us in, the staff was exceptionally helpful. Room opened directly onto the very pretty grounds. Charming little bed and breakfast on the grounds too. Would love to return. read more

This review is for my wedding on 11-9-18. From the first moment we walked into Chauncy we fell in love! Our tour was in the late spring or early summer & the grounds were beautiful! There were trees & grass as far as the eye could see! It had a very secluded & private feel to it, no other buildings in the way, no other spaces holding events - which is exactly what I was looking for. Amanda Puskar, (who was our go-to person from the first tour to the day of the wedding) was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! There are not enough kind words for her, truly. At times, I had felt like I paid for a professional wedding planner. The day of our tour her team was setting up for another wedding but we were never rushed. On our tour she took us through the indoor bar area & the space for cocktail hr., & explained how the space would be set up day of. She then took us to the Solomon Dining Rm (where our wedding took place) & the inner Conference Rm. After, she took us outside through the downstairs back entrance (through the bar). The floor to ceiling glass doors gave a stunning view of the grounds. We walked by the Laurie House (which was in use so understandably we couldn't go inside) & saw how the gazebo was set up for outdoor weddings because that is what her team was doing at the time. Once the tour was over she sat down with us (& the other couple on tour) & went through the brochure pg by pg. She made clear notes as to what was included, what was an upgrade, & answered any questions we had. Once the tour was done up we were allowed to walk the grounds ourselves. For the day of the wedding, I had a surprise groom cake & had to involve 3 of my vendors to make this work, one of them being Amanda. Every email, phone call & meeting was met with kindness, understanding & patience. Amanda is absolutely spectacular at what she does! She alone gets 5 Stars! *Day before the wedding* My fiance & I, our bridal party & a fair amount of friends & family checked in on Thursday night for our Friday Wedding (we had RM blocks for two nights). The front desk was wonderful w/ checking in all of my extras for the day of, as well as our welcome bags & took the time with me as I explained all of the items. Thursday night we didn't do much, but friends & family took advantage of the bar & the pool which they enjoyed. ***WEDDING DAY*** I started the morning by going to the gym & unfortunately another person & myself had to wait a minute or two for an employee to open up the space. No big deal. The gym was small but nice - about 4 treadmills, mats for floor work, weights, towels, etc. Immediately after I went back to my RM & kicked my fiance out. We used my RM for the girls to get ready & the RM was huge with more than enough space for a hair stylist, make up artist, myself & three other girls as well as people coming in & out all morning. The one issue was that it was difficult to get coffee & we had a RM full of coffee drinkers. My sister went to get us some food & we picked on fresh fruit, cereal some toast & bacon. Personally I was too nervous/excited to have a bigger meal. I was fine eating light. Amanda stopped by my RM to let me know about one small issue with my welcome bags. Besides that, NO ISSUES! I will note the day of my wedding it rained, HARD. I cannot comment on the outdoor spaces or the grounds because we didn't get to use them. However; there is a huge/long awning outside so despite the rain we were able to enter the limo with out getting wet. When we came back we took pictures outside by the limo, inside by the fire place (to the right) & then took a break in our RM until cocktail hr. This gave guests time to check in, change, and/or relax & gave the bridal party & family time to chill. Our RM had a small outdoor patio - which we didn't use for anything other than keeping drinks cold (again bad weather). We were informed that our cocktail hr was starting & for everyone to head downstairs. The space was absolutely beautiful, lit with candles & as the bride, there was food every where I turned! Some of the apps were french bone lamb chop (extra $ BUT WORTH IT), bacon wrapped scallops, grilled cheese bites with tomato soup & a full grilled/fresh veggie station. This is the only station I didn't get to. This is where Nadine comes in. Nadine is assigned to the newly married couples & never left our side! She took such amazing care of my husband & I. Every drink, any request, any question she took care of. Nadine is sweet, caring & loves her newly weds! She even went out of her way to make a platter for my husband & I of all the appetizers! SCORE!!! The head kitchen MGR introduced himself, congratulated us & ensured us that all was going to plan. When cocktail hr was done we were escorted upstairs - which WAS BEAUTIFUL! Dinner service went well & our entrees were great! Husband had steak & I had chicken. Everyone who had salmon enjoyed it. The rest of the night was AMAZING & WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHAUNCEY! I had a lovely time at my friend's baby shower tea party. The tea was delicious, and the food provided was rather tasty. We had mini pastries, finger sandwiches, and scones, along with a pot of tea for each guest. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. I would recommend this spot for a baby or bridal shower. read more

Went here for an afternoon tea. Delicious tea and food and excellent service. We used a living social voucher but I ave to confess that after paying about twice their full price the last time I had tea (London) even full price seems perfectly reasonable. read more
