Do not be put off by the outside area which looks very run of the mill Holiday Inn. The ballroom is very nice, the cocktail hour is held at a very spacious area and more importantly for us....they dancefloor is ginormous! Unless you come here for a wedding, I don't think you get the scope of how beautiful the ballroom can turn out. Tara and her team did so much to help us with price, decor and lighting which made the place really come alive. Cocktail Hour: We did a Jersey Shore table during cocktail hour which everyone raved (especially the kids). The servers were excellent, kept coming by with trays of food and very attentive to guests needs. MOST IMPORTANTLY the maitre'd was PHENOMENAL!! He greeted me as soon as I stepped foot on the premises and literally ran around helping me fix a dress issue I had, got me a cocktail to relax and had another server bring me food so I wouldn't pass out. Food: The food is was all so delicious! We picked the baked chicken and the crab stuffed fish and people all loved it. We added dessert trays at the end were filled with these ginormous chocolate covered strawberries and endless crispy pastries, at first I thought I wouldn't need it, but our cake turned out to not be that good, so it really helped. Decor: They can include everything from centerpieces, table numbers, tea lights an envelope cage AND YOUR WEDDING CAKE as part of your package.As a bride that wanted to spend a month-long honeymoon in Europe INSTEAD of centerpieces, this was a huge selling point. Service: I can not say enough about the amazing service I received from the Windsor Ballroom. I have a very demanding job and kept forgetting about due dates for deposits, guests counts and basically everything important....and they were all so patient with me, accommodating to my schedule and really always taking that extra step to make sure I felt at ease. I have never experienced such exceptional customer service from a place. Granted, I have never been married before, but I have heard horror stories, and to be quite honest, I assumed because this is not a super expensive place I was going to get just mediocre service. Hotel accommodations: My husband family was coming from Philadelphia and mine was coming from North Jersey so this was literally the best midpoint. On top of that, it was phenomenal knowing that everyone could enjoy the open bar and safely just walk to their room. We were given a Luxury suite for free for our wedding night and had a discounted price for our guests to stay. As we walked in they had a bottle of champagne, 2 slices of wedding cake, chocolate covered strawberries and a cookie shaped like a wedding cake that said congratulations Mr & Mrs Arellano. It really was such a sweet and personalized touch. Breakfast: The couple enjoys brunch for free the next day ($15 pp), this was a nice touch, we had another mini reception in the morning with everyone walking in tending to their hangover together. The food was excellent and it is also held in the Irish Pub right on the premises, so no need to check out early. The meal was typical banquet food. It was ok but nothing great. The hours' de overs served during the cocktail hour was fairly typical. I did enjoy the cheeses plate a lot. They included blu cheese which is a little unusual on a cheese plate but was very tasty. The decor was nice with center pieces consisting of seasonal poinsettias on each table. The service was very good as well. All in all, it was a nice event, but if I was planning something I would probably look for something with a little more affordable drink selection.

At least in my experience with the Elks Club we could have chosen between cash bar, open bar, or limited bar. There was also the option to have the Elks provide the alcohol or you could provide your own alcohol. The only requirement is that you hire their bar tenders to work the event. This is related to their liquor license. I would think this $5 drink price was decided upon by the event organizer, not the Elks Club. Though I don't know the details of the event John attended. As far as the food, I do know that the Elks do sometimes cater their own events (e.g. their open mic nights). However, for outside events typically a cater is brought in by the individual or group organizing the event. So the food at each event is not reflective of the Elks Club but more so the outside cater. As I stated above, we had our wedding reception here. The aspects which sold us on the Elks was affordability, flexibility, and personal attention. As far as reception venues go this place was affordable, I believe it was the cheapest we found for what it offered. We wanted to have a fairly laid back reception and didn't want to spend a fortune. There is a bar, food serving area, dance floor, and a dinning area. In terms of flexibility, they also allow you to choose your own cater and bring in your own alcohol and food. This was important to us as we provided some of our own desserts which were special to us. We also had some folks who had dietary restrictions and we wanted to make sure they could be taken care of. They also had a generous cancelation policy in case we wanted to cancel the event. I don't recall the exact time frame to cancel but when we first put a deposit we weren't sure that we were going to have the event here as we had just started looking at venues. Ellen, who is the treasure of the Elks, also manages their schedule and coordinates events. She was one of the nicest people I have ever met and she helped our event be a success. When we first visited the venue she spent plenty of time walking us around the property and discussing what we might want for our event. She offered advice on how to organize the event and what might work best. We talked about what the Elks Club could offer and the basic costs. This was great because planning a wedding can be very overwhelming and we didn't have any previous experience planning an event like this. She was also there the night of the event to ensure everything ran smoothly and troubleshoot if any problems arose. The rest of the Elks Club members were also very nice. In terms of the venue, it is certainly not the nicest or fanciest venue around but considering the price and everything else it is 5 stars!! For example, you have to be willing to have your guests walk in and see a large Elks head staring back at them (see photo). They could be some improvements or updates in the building but I really can't complain. None of my guests minded and it was perfect for what we were looking for. The staff were beyond helpful. Also there is a large parking lot if you have a lot of guests.

There was chicken, beef and salmon, and the pieces were, maybe 2oz. each - maybe 2 bites. The woman in line in front of me asked for just salmon as she did not eat meat. She was told no - she had to wait until every one was served and she could get more if there was any left. (I didn't think quick enough to offer her mine.) They told me the same thing for the steamed veggies. Unlimited salad, rolls and mashed potatoes, though. The cocktail hour had wonderful butlered options. But the crudités were sitting out on tables, in 90+ degree heat, with no ice or chilling. (The cheese pieces were slimy) I really wanted to like this place, but I would hesitate to return, especially in the summer. Maybe the bulk of the issues were the results the wedding party's requests?

Tickets for upcoming weeks are released two weeks in advance, and are for a specific time slot. There is ample free parking. Maps are available by scanning a QR code. This sculpture garden was definitely worth the drive to Hamilton.

They are tied to specific timed entries and can completely sell out. General admission is $25 per person, but they do offer discounts for students, seniors, and other groups. Also, if you go during the summer, they run a great promo where tickets are only $5 on Fridays from 5 PM until closing. Even as someone who doesn't know much about art or sculpture, I had an absolute blast walking around the beautifully maintained grounds. There is a good amount to see, and some of the structures are truly massive in size. It's a perfect activity whether you're with loved ones, friends, or just going solo. They also have a restaurant and a cafe right on the grounds if you want to grab a bite. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be happy to come back again

Many of them you could buy in Costco. Cauliflower mac&cheese. The alcohol is provided by the bride and groom, so you can't fault the venue if they couldn't make a specialty drink for you. They are responsible for keeping the beer cold though, and they couldn't even do that. I had the very small 3 oz fillet for my dinner and it was completely overdone. No pink at all! I asked if they could bring me another one out. They said there are no extras and that they do not serve made to order steak. Really?? Who screws fillets up? It rained so they closed the tent up. It was like being in a sauna. All the young men took their ties off and unbuttoned their shirts. How do you not have AC?? At the end of the evening when the 2 bartenders were trying to keep up with making drinks and getting the beer on ice, I overheard the one say that this group is brutal. It's ok to think that but you should probably keep your thoughts to yourself so guests don't hear you. They actually closed the bar up early.
