Fundamentally, most PT elements were in place during my treatment, but professionalism is sometimes lacking. Of concern is variable billing (depending on insurance carrier "allowances") and spotty individualized care. Very often, the therapist is working simultaneously with multiple patients, so you might feel like you're paying to work out on your own. read more

Exemplary! I had knee replacement surgery 7 weeks ago and started PT at Chautauqua Physical & Occupational Therapy in Jamestown a couple of days after surgery. From the moment I walked in all the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. The facility is spotlessly clean and well equipped for any type of PT or OT someone would need. I had the pleasure and privilege to work with William Lucas who was the consummate professional; kind, understanding, and incredibly knowledgeable. He pushed me to reach my capabilities and it paid off tremendously. I came in for my first appointment right after surgery in a walker with so much pain I could hardly walk. I left today, 7 weeks later, able to walk nearly pain-free and able to do things I have not been able to do before my knee was replaced. My PT was for plantar fasciitis. All the exercises helped to relieve the problem. I will continue to do them. The quality of care was excellent. The staff was wonderful. Chautauqua Physical & Occupational Therapy in Jamestown New York is by far the best physical therapy I have received in my lifetime. I am 67 years old and recently retired. In the last ten years, this is the fourth time I needed PT, the last two times at this location, and these people in this office are fantastic to work with. They work in harmony with one another. I had knee replacement surgery; I am not a fan of PT more or less because I don't exercise much and well, it's not my gig. In any case I was VERY fortunate to have Drew as my PT. He knows his stuff and trust me; he was painfully good! Yes, it hurt but Drew seemed to grasp the difference between pain and excruciating pain. He seemed to know how far he could go and be effective. Good personality and just a good PTA to work with. Ask for him if you are able. He knows what he's doing and has a sense of humor as well. Never met him before and no we aren't related. I just feel that since I quit PT on my own, I should come here and let the company and others know what an asset he is. When I had pain in my shoulder and arm, my daughter recommended I get physical therapy. I was skeptical; but I set up an appointment and went for my first visit. Turns out my real problem was a pinched nerve in my neck! I was given some manual treatments to my neck and put on the traction machine and within a few visits I could see major improvement!
