Cheat Mountain Pizza is seriously underrated--it's easily my favorite pizza, not just at Snowshoe, but anywhere. The crust is perfect, the toppings are always fresh, and it hits the spot every time after a day on the mountain. The location couldn't be more convenient--right in the village and just steps from the slopes. It's also one of the more affordable restaurants on the mountain, which makes it even better. If you can grab a seat by the window, the view makes it that much more enjoyable. It can get a bit busy but the service is always friendly and happy to accommodate. We were in the mood for pizza and decided to make the drive up to Snowshoe. We arrived around 8 p.m. to find the place somewhat quiet and not very busy. The restaurant was clean and well maintained, and our server was quick to greet us and take our drink order while we looked over the menu. To start, we shared the Cheat Garden Salad for two with feta dressing. It arrived quickly, and we both really enjoyed it--especially the feta dressing, which was delicious. We did notice that there weren't any salt and pepper shakers on the tables, which seemed odd. My friend likes to add pepper to everything, so he immediately picked up on that. Our server didn't check in while we were eating the salads, so we didn't get a chance to ask for any. They did have Parmesan and red pepper flakes on the tables, though. For our main course, my friend ordered the 16" Jamaican Voodoo Chicken Pizza, and I went with the 12" Hawaiian Luau. We waited about 30 minutes for the pizzas to arrive. The crust on both was very good--great flavor and a nice thickness--but the toppings were a letdown. The Hawaiian Luau was bland, and despite the jalapeños giving it a little heat, I couldn't taste any of the Jamaican jerk flavor that was supposed to come through in the pork. My friend wasn't impressed with the pesto base on his pizza either--he said it was just okay. While "just okay" might be fine elsewhere, it's a bit disappointing when you're paying $25 for a 12" and $31 for a 16" pizza. Overall, the highlight of the meal was definitely the salad. Service was decent, salad was excellent, but the pizza didn't live up to the price or the hype. read more

Seems like they hopefully fixed whatever service issues were plaguing them a couple months ago when a bunch of terrible Yelp reviews dropped. Just ate here today and it was perfectly fine! Super convenient right in the main village, efficient and friendly service, $7-8 draft beers, and pizza that was only moderately over priced and in line with cost expectations. The pizza itself was perfectly fine, not great and not bad, but delicious after a day of skiing. Sandwiches were on the smaller end and are overpriced for the size. Fries were good. This decent pizzeria in the heart of the Snowshoe Ski Resort serves up tasty pies and pasta dishes along with a decent selection of tap beers, in a casual, family-friendly setting. Service was terrific on our recent visit, and tables turn more quickly than most of the other restaurants at Snowshoe. Great spot for lunch, or whenever you need a break from the slopes. read more

Wings came out cold and had to send them back. Pizza came out severely burnt on the bottom and had to send it back. Waited an extra 20 minutes for a new pizza. Taste wasn't great. They did not even offer to take anything off the bill even though we had to send food back and wait for it to be corrected. I've never been to a "fancy" ski resort but I'm thinking Aspen has to have better quality food than what's always pumped out at the smaller mountains. Because every ski resort I've ever been to always has the same mass produced food that's more about convenience than quality. Because why would anyone want to sit down and nourish their body with quality food after falling repeatedly on skis (no, just me?). Standard food from a ski resort. Anything carb-loaded (pizza, sandwiches, etc) has a lot of breading that'll get you full quick. We ordered the wings (meh), meatball sub and the Mediterranean flatbread. The flatbread was decent but had handfuls of full olives on there that we ended up picking off because it made it so salty. I think they should have sliced them up and just put a few on there. There is no call to order. The phone just rings or goes to voicemail. Had to walk in and wait over an hour for a single large pepperoni pizza to be ready. No notification system, they don't even call out names of the order. You just watch what they throw in the food warmer near the hostess station and hope it's yours. Very friendly staff yet the night we went it seemed there weren't enough folks on staff to support the amount of people coming in. There was a long wait (which we didn't mind- everywhere had a long wait and most places in the area didn't take reservations) but once we sat down it was another 45 minutes until we got our food. This pizza is right on top of the Snowshoe ski resort in the village. It's also attached to one of the lodging building. Our lodging was right next door too, so this place is very conveniently located. Because of this, it was very crowded even when we went in at 8:30 pm on a weekday. We were promptly seated and served. We got the 16" supreme pizza. It took around 20 min to come out. However, the pizza itself was definitely subpart. The cheese felt lackluster, crust was chewy, and everything about the food was a bit lacking in some ways. The pizza wasn't terrible, I've definitely had plenty worse pizzas in my life. Nonetheless, I wouldn't call it good by any means. The steep price of $28 didn't help either. Everything else about the place was great though. The service, amenities, convenient location, etc. It's also like the only pizza place in the village, so if you're craving pizza while on the slopes, it's definitely convenient for a quick bite! read more

We come here every time we visit Snowshoe. There is usually a wait time, but tables come and go rather quickly, so you won't be waiting long. Their pizzas are rather expensive, but if you get one of their specialty pizzas, it comes LOADED with toppings. A few of our favorite things to get here are: Supreme Pizza Choker Pizza (Meat Lover's Pizza) Caesar salad Cheesy bread On our last visit here this past weekend, we decided to order a smaller pizza and a meatball sub. The meatball sub was $13, but it came on a 5 inch hoagie roll with halves of meatballs (which ended up being a total of 2 meatball). It came with maybe half a handful of bagged potato chips. Had an "interesting" experience. First off all, if you're looking for food, please go to the village. Don't look around more than you have to because it's probably closed or takeout. We were extremely unprepared for this weekend. I mean borderline shocking that we spent an hour trying to find food. Came across cheat pizza, not cheap. 2 beers and 2 large pizzas was like 60 bucks. Pizza was pretty good BUTTTT what was really not so great was the 40 minute wait standing out in the freezing cold RIGHT AS IT THE WEATHER GOT WORSE. They can't help that but they could definitely see us whimpering and crying outside. If they had told me that it would have taken longer than 10-15 minutes, probably would've gone next door where it was done in 10-15 minutes.
