    Cheese pizza

Cheat Mountain Pizza is seriously underrated--it's easily my favorite pizza, not just at Snowshoe, but anywhere. The crust is perfect, the toppings are always fresh, and it hits the spot every time after a day on the mountain. The location couldn't be more convenient--right in the village and just steps from the slopes. It's also one of the more affordable restaurants on the mountain, which makes it even better. If you can grab a seat by the window, the view makes it that much more enjoyable. It can get a bit busy but the service is always friendly and happy to accommodate. Cozy, satisfying, and super reliable. A must-stop every time I'm at Snowshoe!

We were in the mood for pizza and decided to make the drive up to Snowshoe. We arrived around 8 p.m. to find the place somewhat quiet and not very busy. The restaurant was clean and well maintained, and our server was quick to greet us and take our drink order while we looked over the menu. To start, we shared the Cheat Garden Salad for two with feta dressing. It arrived quickly, and we both really enjoyed it--especially the feta dressing, which was delicious. We did notice that there weren't any salt and pepper shakers on the tables, which seemed odd. My friend likes to add pepper to everything, so he immediately picked up on that. Our server didn't check in while we were eating the salads, so we didn't get a chance to ask for any. They did have Parmesan and red pepper flakes on the tables, though. For our main course, my friend ordered the 16" Jamaican Voodoo Chicken Pizza, and I went with the 12" Hawaiian Luau. We waited about 30 minutes for the pizzas to arrive. The crust on both was very good--great flavor and a nice thickness--but the toppings were a letdown. The Hawaiian Luau was bland, and despite the jalapeños giving it a little heat, I couldn't taste any of the Jamaican jerk flavor that was supposed to come through in the pork. My friend wasn't impressed with the pesto base on his pizza either--he said it was just okay. While "just okay" might be fine elsewhere, it's a bit disappointing when you're paying $25 for a 12" and $31 for a 16" pizza. Overall, the highlight of the meal was definitely the salad. Service was decent, salad was excellent, but the pizza didn't live up to the price or the hype.

Always my favorite pizza. Ignore the low reviews-this place has been a fave for five years and celiac friendly!

We've been here a million times but I've never done a review and tonight was the best pizza we've had yet. The pizza was delicious, the mozzarella sticks were great but the best part of all was the service - Iry was wonderful!

The pizza is completely flavorless and doughy. You only get a hint of sweetness not worth it. Wings are decent, server clearly does not want to be there. Only finished the food because we were hungry.

The pizza was delicious and came out very quick! Staff was very attentive and brought our drinks out quickly as well.

Pizza crust was hard as the plate i put it on. Toppings (pep, mushroom)were light with lots of edge crust. Pretty slow and they weren't busy. Almost 60yrs old and wont serve alcohol without an ID (left at room), server then got rude. Didn't follow up on meal or drinks, she finally came back smacked the bill down without a word and left. $40 for bad pie (all of 16") one beer one pop. Not worth your time or money.

Service was great and waitress was very friendly. Ordered the Margarita pizza and found that it had a surprising lack of cheese..

I think that your pizza place was better then the best McDonald's in the world! designing and taste were the best __ziggy short 8 years old We loved our pizza!! Ziggy got the make your own 5 Cheese blend with tomato sauce, and couldn't stop raving in between bites!! We had the Jamaican Voodoo chicken and I'll never love another pizza again. When visiting SnowShoe Cheat Mountain Pizza is the place to go. We arrived as most everything was closing. I love pizza but won't eat it very often, so we decided to stop in and check it out. No disappointment at all. The pizzas we ordered were delicious and all the toppings were not only fresh, but they put a lot on the pizza. The service was good. The servers and bartender were great. Good drinks and menu suggestions. This was a great experience with terrific food and service. I will absolutely stop in here again the next time I'm in SnowShoe.

Save yourself some bucks and pack a Digiorno. It will taste better. Only tried the pizza. Maybe the other offerings are better...

Decent pizza. Big salad. A few bites of the salad had rotten pieces of lettuce and the other veggies were not super fresh.

I would give this a zero. Waited over 45 minutes just for an appetizer. Would've rather made the walk to slice of pizza. Do not go here.

Foxfire Grill - Snowshoe, WV…read more Visited in August with family and our dog while in Snowshoe, WV. Foxfire has a dog-friendly outdoor patio, which was a big plus. The setting is lovely -- Snowshoe Plaza had a car show that day, and the surrounding area is worth exploring. In winter this is a ski hub, but in summer it's still a great spot to visit. We waited about 20 minutes for a table, and the food took at least 30 minutes to arrive. I ordered the full rack of baby back ribs with baked beans and sweet potato fries (sharing with someone else). The good: The baked beans were fantastic, and the sweet potato fries were some of the best I've ever had. Most of the food tasted great overall. The bad: The ribs were completely blackened and burnt throughout -- not just a little char, but fully charred. I've attached a photo for reference. Burnt food not only ruins the flavor, but it's a sign of poor execution and attention to detail, and over time it can be unhealthy. Overall, the location is great, the service was decent, and most of the food was solid. Unfortunately, the ribs knocked this experience down for me -- enough to take off two stars. Hopefully next time the kitchen cleans up their act. Rating: (3/5) Last visited: August 2025

Outstanding farm-to-table dining in Snowshoe…read more For anyone visiting Snowshoe Mountain and hoping to find a truly elevated dining experience, Appalachia Kitchen stands apart. The concept is simple but well executed: locally sourced Appalachian ingredients, seasonal menus, and careful preparation. In an area where "upscale" dining often leans heavily on pricing instead of execution, Appalachia Kitchen focuses on what actually matters--quality, balance, and consistency. Highlights included: * A perfectly cooked filet paired with root vegetables and a rich, restrained sauce * Thoughtful plating without unnecessary theatrics * A wine list that complements the menu instead of competing with it * Attentive service that feels professional but relaxed One standout moment: the staff happily accommodated a custom French press paired with vanilla gelato and chocolate chips--a small detail, but one that shows how much pride they take in the guest experience. Snowshoe attracts visitors from across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, and for many, this will be the memorable meal of their trip. If you're deciding where to spend your money for a special dinner, this is the restaurant that delivers on both quality and value. Appalachia Kitchen sets the benchmark for what higher-end dining in Snowshoe should be.
