2nd time we have been here. Had pizza and wings and they were both good. Ranch was great. Love the thin crust!. Service is great. Old style decor in a small town. What's not to love?

Wow this place is a hidden showcase needed to shine on Yelp... Let me help as I'm not a regular but over the twenty years living in Iowa I have been a good six times...All great times and usually someones birthday, this is a birthday fun zone. Tonight was just a get together between two Indianolians and two Knoxvillagers ;)) we were a little early, lucky as this place gets popular on Saturday evening; soo we had a couple adult soft drinks and checked out the wildlife. This place never changes but it always looks great with old and new cowpoke stuff. NOT sure but don't remember the chuckwaggon salad bar guarded by the Duke and the furry stiff critters at the glassfront are always some kind of nostalgia fare. Food is always good hense the lines of people and the staff; hat a spark to thier delivery cowpoke style, this is something you don't get everyday. Prices are still in good standings for an hour at the coral, sorry we missed the famous Onion Rings this trip but we were surrounded by the smell of them yeeehahhh ~ some kind of wonderful. This place is true blue for your crew soo mosey on down to Pleasantville and enjoy a great night out.

Well there is not a lot of choices in Pleasantville, but this place is a cornerstone. I went on a Saturday night around five o'clock. The restaurant was about half full with steady customers and adequate staff. The waitress that had our table was terrible, even when she wrote the order down she couldn't remember what table got what or who got what and if you asked for something she wouldn't come back with it and it became frustrating, she needed to be sent to wash dishes instead of waiting tables. The cheese balls are excellent, piping hot, just the right amount of breading. I am disappointed that there is an extra charge for Ranch dressing. This should be included. The mushrooms are pretty much the same and you can't go to wrong with fried foods as long as they are served hot. I love the pizza here and it was excellent. The combination was fabulous, light crispy crust with plenty of toppings. Served hot and fresh. I also got crazy and got a Canadian Bacon with pineapple on one half and Canadian Bacon with sauerkraut and it was excellent. The chocolate cake is absolutely amazing and recommended.

Friendly staff, great pizza and onion rings. The fried pickle spears were also very good with the ranch. Will go again!

Probably too big to do anything well. Service is was below par. I walked in said hi. This is my first time. What do you recommend. He just pointed at the pre-made pies. I made my selections paid and sat down. They brought over my slices after reheating them in the oven on too small paper plates. No follow-up. Only 1 other table with customers.

Took a friend to Nonna's Pizza & Pasta for their 49th birthday... I hadn't really researched it…read moreother than knowing people said they did pizza by the slice and by looking at their menu online before we headed that way. Parking is great. It's in the same building as Filet Steakhouse. Down on the Southeast corner... It's not exactly what I expected. Don't expect the atmosphere of Baratta's, Latin King, or Cosi Cucina. The front dining area is more informal. Don't take that wrong though... I'm not taking anything away from it. The place has a great vibe to it and I felt comfortable. I loved the NYC themed decor and the look of the place. There is at least one more dining area called the Manhattan room. I'm not sure if this is a private room or what it exactly takes to get in there... It sure looked pretty classy through the doorway though! The process is more or less order at the front counter. Pay when you order. Seat yourself. Self serve drinks (Coke products). Silverware and napkins can be picked up by the drink station. While you order at the counter the food is brought to your table when it is ready. Seating is all low top tables and chairs along with a few stools at the bar. I noticed a few people picking up menus, going to a seat and browsing the menu and then going up to order. This is probably what I would do next time if I was ordering anything but the pizza by the slice. The service we had was really good. From the gentlemen at the front counter and register...along with the staff who were working the floor dropping off food and bussing tables. The menu is quite extensive! Everyone can find something. Appetizers, soup, salads, pizza by the slice, round pies, square pies, thin and crispy, gluten free... Calzones, hot and cold sandwiches, pasta dishes, chicken and shrimp entrees, salmon, desserts, and kids meals. While I do like pizza... And they have a HUGE selection of pies in all kinds of combinations...by the slice or baked fresh... We both tried pasta dishes. 1x Shrimp Parmigiana 1x Stuffed Shells sub alfredo 2x House salads (creamy parm and blue cheese) 2x Fountain drinks Complimentary bread with our entrees The wait for our food was short. Our salads came out first. Everything was fresh and tasted good. One thing... Some of the pieces of lettuce could have been chopped a smaller. Made it a little harder to manage than it should have been... Easy fix though... Make sure you grab a knife. I'm not sure if that's normal or if it was a one off. Not a big deal. The pasta dishes hit the table along with the complimentary bread... If you go here just for pizza by the slice... You're really missing out! Their pasta dishes would easily rival any of the places I listed above when I mentioned atmosphere. The portions are large. I had to do something that I don't normally do. I took some home for the next day. I'm usually the guy who gets irritated because someone writes... "I can easily make three meals out of what I was served...!" When I order the same thing where they are...and I clean my plate. Lol All in all a great meal and I think we spent in the mid-$60 range before tip. Definitely going to back to check out some of the other items on the menu... And the pizza! https://nonnaspizzapastas.com/

It was busy but not so much that we didn't get sat right away. Our server was also busy so someone else took our drink order - and then gave us menus. We ended up ordering the meatballs, a salad, and a classic pie, and walked out also with a cool vintage looking Pagliai's tee! The meatballs were large, came with two, and really flavorful. The sauce was classic tomato but not basic, you could taste the aromatics and that was so good. Basic salad but really delicious runny ranch to go with it, which I loved. I dipped the crust from my pizza in it and it was just so good! For the pie we split it in half - half with meats and the other half with special. The crust was thin and also seasoned nicely and couldn't say enough about how delicious the cheese was. It was so gooey and thick - it made the pizza so incredibly good. Besides our server taking us on due to the prior one being too busy, the vibes inside were chill and casual, music was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Everyone behind the pizza counter had smiles and acknowledged you. Was a real delight. Everywhere in Grinnell folks rave about Pagliai's and we understand why. We'll definitely have to come back!

It was light and tasty and a great way to end the meal.
