My thin, hot ranch fries begging for ketchup, flanked a tall chicken sandwich that could only be eaten using a napkin wrap! Wow, what a first bite!! Crunchy, hot and delicious! Just as I am getting into the bulk of my lunch, about 20 people ramped into the place! Boy was I happy I got here when I did! Seeing how busy it is here from outside, with the large windows, is a plus! Get napkins and ketchup, before you sit down. They are on a caddy that is hard to miss. We also ordered Diet Coke (no Coke Zero) in a bottle and a La Croix drink in a can. No soda machine here. We were given a number to place on our table and waited for our meals...and waited...and waited some more. I think it must've been like 10-15 minutes before we were served our meals and we got there before the heavy lunch rush! We shrugged it off thinking, ooh, it's fresh out of the fryer and the chicken and fries will be piping hot. Nope! Our meals were warm but not hot. My wife liked the flavor of her KFC but didn't think Korean flavors really shined through. Having lived in Korea for a couple of years, I think she might have a good grip on Korean flavors. My angry bird was indeed angry! The spiciness level seemed like it was 7 or 8 out of 10. It was so spicy to me (and I love spicy food) that it had me sweating, with beads of sweat flowing down from my gleaming head. The spice level took away from the flavors. When I got to Tom Petty Park and opened my food, I was impressed with the portion and after my first bite, I was even more impressed with the taste. Why settle on one of those fast-food burger monoliths when you can have a superior burger from a local business? I would definitely recommend Holy Moly Burgers and the Bird.

And not that little tiny throw onto the grill for a second or two...that nice hard grill that makes the butter hard crisp the bread so you get that crunch inside with the nice pillow outside. Shred the lettuce so it's on every bite and not falling out before you take those bites. Perfection. Added some Big Mill's sauce and wow. Just plain yellow American cheese is fine with me. I'm not sure if they marinated it or tossed it in some sauce, but it was too much. The fries were decent, but not super crispy. I felt that they were not necessarily and a little over-the-top. The tomato was fresh and but the red onion slices were very thick. The mustard and ketchup didn't work with the seasonings on the chicken. The dish was just all over the place and I couldn't even finish half of it before I started feeling sick. I ordered a side of onion rings as well. This was a large order and the size was great. But these onion rings were over-battered and were fresh, but not crispy at all. I bit into one and ended up pulling out the whole onion rings. Not good. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience. The food was so heavy and overly salted I couldn't even eat half of it. I ended up giving it to a homeless person on the way out. The heat level was fair, and for the most part the sandwich was tasty. The fries were also good crinkle cuts. The only complaint I have was that the sandwich could have used some more coleslaw. This is a small national chain, so I do expect quality and customer service to be on par with the rest of the chains, and that is what I got. The product is fair, but nothing really excellent about it. I know of locally owned places that I would rather go to, but I suppose that if I were running around on Archer road and had a hankering for a hot chicken sandwich like this I would be inclined to return.

Just about everything was cold and the chicken sandwich was incorrect, just like it was this time. Why am I paying for cheese and/or bacon on a sandwich but never getting it? Last time, cheese but no bacon...this time, no cheese or extra mayo. (Which they should actually put honey mustard as an option but they don't--if so many people like to dip their chicken strips in it, why not option it as an add-on to your sandwich??) Worst of all, no one has bothered to clean all the greasy fingerprints off the doors as you come in...hard to find a clean table as well. What does the nighttime crew DO before they leave? Just leave everything disgusting for the opening crew? That doesn't make good sense at all! Management needs to make either one or the other do some cleaning BEFORE opening for business the next day! Seriously!! How hard is it to wipe down some table tops and benches? 10 minutes of work goes a looooong way towards good impressions. Also, instead of mopping and sweeping while customers are trying to sit and eat...let's think about doing that BEFORE or AFTER they're in the building.
