This was not right as they're responsible for discovery prior to providing a quote. Luckily they honored the original price and we were happy to move forward. Instead of sending 2 inspectors, as promised for the multi-family, they sent 1. Likely because they made a mistake on pricing and didn't want to lose money on paying for two which would've made the job more efficient and they would've completed inspection correctly. Karl arrived on time, was kind and shared what his plan was to complete our inspection thoroughly as there were multiple units and only 1 person. He assured he'd get it done and allowed us to follow along. I'm appreciative of the knowledge he shared and therefore, we didn't bat an eye when he mentioned he was closing on his personal home and took a call. The call lead to calls and it began to delay our inspection. The quality of work began to drop as time was running out. He said if 1 unit looks good in the attic and crawl space, they would look the same for all. Therefore, he didn't want to look inside of every single one. This was very frustrating to us because this is a large purchase for us and many others that are looking to buy their first home. Having a thorough inspection could make or break the decision on moving forward or with other expenses. My partner had to physically check himself since Karl didn't want to inspect it himself. He found water in 2 of the 4 units.. Leaking pipes and a hole in the main water sewer line. This goes to show the lack of quality and professionalism when a customer requests what their concerns are. The total damage for the fixes totaled to $9,000!!! (more updates to come) If your inspector doesn't happily check your concerns - red flag, please check it out yourself so they can notate it on the report. He also ran out of time and could not complete the sewer scope. We spoke to the manager post inspection to share our concerns about un-checked spaces and scoping that we scheduled and planned to pay for our services. Instead, she ignored us and said that they are not going back to the property as the they felt the inspection was completed in their eyes. There are always 3 sides to a story - their side, our side and the truth. We paid for our report and went about our way. We will not be bringing our business back here nor will recommend. Anyone who uses this company should be wary of their services and SHOULD follow along with their inspector to catch any major issues. Buyers, carry out your due diligence to avoid dishonest businesses and make a sound decision for one of the largest purchases of your life.

For instance our kitchen sink garbage disposal leaks and there was a bowl under the pipe catching the water, which wasn't mentioned. The shower is a walk-in tiled shower and the water collects in one of the corners and doesn't drain because it isn't level...so you have to push a large amount of water every time you use it to the drain. This wasn't reported and I honestly wouldn't have bought the house if I knew this. We also paid for a pool inspection, which was a joke. They couldn't tell me if the pool heater worked (it doesn't) but they stated obvious things like the concrete is slanted so that's a tripping hazard (obviously). I had high hopes based on their google reviews but I wouldn't recommend

They scheduled to come in our home for inspections…read more They came, had opened up a bathroom basement window causing about 5 lbs of dirt to fall in from outside where mulch had built up in my flower bed outside the window.....they did not clean up any of the dirt mess all over the bathroom. They did take a towel and wipe the white painted cinder block wall and rubbed it into the paint....called them and they said that the buyer also came to the inspection..... It is their responsibility to ensure that when they go into a home to do their job when the homeowner is not home to make sure the property is left how they found it and they were responsible for all people they brought into the house..... I called them to come clean it up and was basically told they wouldn't have done that and would call me back....they never called back. I also want to note: this bathroom was cleaned before their arrival. I have professional cleaners who come once a week. So there is no doubt that this was done during their visit.

Not only that, but he traced the leak we've been having to the potential source. This all took about two hours. He didn't have to do that, and it was much appreciated from my perspective. He was very punctual and also reviewed the quotes we were given for repairs and gave us advice concerning the contractor's recommendation and price. This was very helpful since the leak was potentially a plumbing issue rather than a roof issue and we had roofers telling us otherwise and charging us an arm an a leg for a roof repair that was clear would not solve the problem after reviewing it with Quinton. He also gave us recommended companies for the repairs we needed and walked us through how to repair several things ourselves for little cost. My husband and I just assume the worst when drywall joints start cracking, and sometimes (in our case) it can be corrected with caulking and some very specific putty tape. Neither of us are very handy so we need the additional advice and consultation from an outside resource. His input took a lot of stress and concern off of my husband and me. So while the house is not without its problems, he saved us a boatload on the repairs and took the time to review everything with us in person. Some advice for future home owners was to have the inspector come out for the REinspection, not just the inspection. That way you're assured the work was completed correctly, something we did not do. In this case, I think the blame lies on the developer who sold us the home and we now realize some of the issues are not as bad as we originally assumed. I would recommend Quinton and would use him again.
