He was upfront in the store with a wee party hat on..( have to say though I dont like when people dress up animals, but this didnt seem like too big a deal for Alistair) and they were giving away crave cupcakes. There were streamers, Alistair was snuffling away and cheerfully receiving pats from his admirers. So THAT was my introduction to this little place. LIke most mom and pop pet food stores you will find that the prices are higher than at somewhere like Petsmart etc. It is understandable as they dont have the volume of sales. The products they do have though are excellent, wonderful products for your beloved pets. It is clear that the owners of this store love animals and want nothing but the best for thier customers pets. I will admit that I tend to go to Petsmart, but do like to pop in here to pick up a few special treats for my kitties and see Alistair. It is so cool to have a pig in my neighborhood and to go to a piggy birthday party is something that I have for the memory books.. The store is a very modest, simple establishment and it is run by a very likeable fellow, he took the time to bring Alli from the back of the store to meet me and they both showed me his trick of sitting down for a treat. Alli tried to sit again for another treat but his papa was all to savvy. One treat is enough, now don't be a pig about it. PN carries mostly supplies for dogs and cats and the prices there seem quite reasonable, it seems to be a large store and equipped with toys, food as well as a nice section of sleeping accessories for your furry friends. So yes this yelper likes PN and especially her new friend, I just hope he doesn't reject me on FB.

They led us to believe 50% of our earnings went to insurance to "protect us" vs. us going on it on our own. If we earned $100 for an allnight sleepover, giving meds, walking the pet 3x a day...they took half. They told us it was for "insurance". Turns out it was insurance for THEM. The company owner. NOT US, the pet sitters .As a first time pet sitter for several dogs, I TRUSTED WHILE AWAY to let me pet sit dogs THAT WERE SAFE. i took the assignment they gave me..brand new pet sitter I was...and it turned out the dog had a shock collar, it was so violent. It had a history of attacking smaller dogs and a record with the City. No one told me that. I took the 2 dogs for a walk.. both over 70lbs...and ended up breaking my foot in 3 places after it/they went after a smaller dog, as they had in the past. I was off work for 2 months. I lost over $3000 in pay. The owner said I was at fault for not wearing proper footwear. This company should go out of business. That small dog and dog owner they chased were also traumatized. Horrible experience. I will NEVER pet sit again after this experience. I had to stop 2 dogs from killing a small dog in front of my eyes because of the lack of screening from this business owner.

Fortunate I came home one night early! I hired While Away to watch my 11 year old cat. They were…read moresupposed to clean the litter, provide fresh food & water daily and water the plants - none of this happened. I was able to change my flight home and get in 12 hours early, so happy I did! I came home to a full and reeking litter box, one water dish was near empty and the other water dish had turned yellow and murky from disintegrated kibbles, couldn't even see the bottom of the bowl! To make matters worse, the girl came into my home at 10:30pm that night! She kept changing her story, saying she had changed the litter and water and then had at least changed the water. Then she called me rude and left, apparently told her manager I was yelling at her (very false). My cat is 11 and on a prescription schedule, it didn't even look like she had touched any of the medications, they were in the same placement in which I had left them out for her. If you use this service, I'd recommend having an electronic lock system installed where it alerts you when their code is entered. But for the safety and well being of your animals, I'd avoid this service at all cost.

The lady who owns it is really friendly and helpful (and you'll always leave with a pocketful for fresh baked treats). I use a food that isn't carried so she always special orders for me which is nice of her. The prices are also a little cheaper than chain stores. I understand that her medical condition was very serious. My concern is not only about the outcome, but about the communication, consent process, documentation, and the way we were treated during the euthanasia decision. We asked about other options, including continuing treatment and transferring Raya to another emergency/specialty clinic. I did not feel that we were given a real voluntary choice. Police were called and were present in the room while we were crying, overwhelmed, and trying to understand our options. I felt pressured into signing the euthanasia consent form. Afterward, I requested Rhea's full medical records. The first package did not include all documents, and only after multiple follow-up emails did I receive additional monitoring records, handwritten order forms, and communication logs that were not included initially. I also requested clarification about audio recordings made during our conversations. Losing Rhea was already devastating. The way this situation was handled made it even more painful. I am now seeking review through the appropriate channels. In my opinion, pet owners deserve clear communication, transparency, and compassion during emergencies. I did not feel that we received that.
