My son has been going here for daycare full time since he was 4 months old. He's now 25 months old…read moreand we couldn't be happier with our experience. Of course, I need to address price. While I was pregnant and looking at daycare options, I knew Doodle Bugs was going to cost more than other locations. But, for what they offer, the cleanliness of the center, and the general feeling I got, I knew it was worth it. Cost doesn't equate to care, but for the amount of time my son is here, I feel like we are getting a fair deal. The teachers from day one have been great. Everyone is so kind to my son, greeting him when he comes in, high fiving him, sharing stories about him...I really feel like he is cared for. I've always had great communication with the staff. If there are issues, they bring them to our immediate attention. Any concerns that I've had have been addressed kindly and quickly. There is always something fun and educational going on. Daily art, sensory play, music, imagination play...it's great for a learning toddler! My son learned some sign language which helped us communicate with him before he could talk. I know so much of the learning he has had is because of his time at Doodle Bugs. Don't get me wrong, the time and attention my husband and I spend with him is important too! My son genuinely loves spending his days here which is such a relief for 2 working parents. I know this is the best option for our family.

My baby is nonverbal which they knew that when I called and also again when it came time for sign up. They treated him different than the other kids and not in a good way. After two weeks of watching my baby's on cameras wander around a class room and things snatched from his/her hands by the staff along with other children. I had a meeting with the director who is as dumb as a box of rocks and only cares about her staff who's not qualified. She simply told me that my son does not fit in with the other kids, as well to tell my husband that my son didn't want to watch the magic show they had planned and wouldn't sit still. He's 3 ! I'm sorry but do you really think a bunch of 3yr olds are going to sit still for an 1hr long magic show? After that's she recommended it would be best for him to go to another daycare. My son was there Monday, Wednesday, Friday and my daughter Tuesday and Thursday for two weeks. You didn't even give them a chance to get settled in. You care more about keeping staff than teaching and helping these young kids. When it comes to my kids I do not play we pulled both our kids immediately!! Such disappointment in this facility. my son went here when he was younger and was pulled when my daughter was born, And our experience with them at that time was amazing. How that facility went to shit in two years is absolutely crazy. For $389 a week they sure do treat your kids like shit. What happen to this " Learning Academy". Guess you have to raise robots to be perfect if you want your kids to socialize now a days.

Much better than the Buffalo Pubic Schools which are all about grooming…read more The four stars is mainly aimed at the gorgeous building, which I've seen inside and out many times, and is one of the standout awe-inspiring grand old structures in the Bailey & Kensington area. It's well worth a look, as they just don't make school buildings like this anymore. These days it's all plastic. But this is an old school... school. And it shows. This school is on Suffolk, and used to be known as Kensington High School, and I was a regular there. It was one of the most notorious and dangerous high schools in the region, and was eventually shut down because it was failing. A lot of children were relocated and had their lives turned upside down. You look at Clarence HS and Sweet Home HS buying iPads for all of their students, and you look here and our double standards for educating our poor vs rich kids is frankly disgusting. But oh yeah, everyone has an equal opportunity in the US. Sure. Nevertheless, what they have done with the rubble of Kensington HS is remarkable. It's far from perfect, but the crime is down, the campus looks better, and the kids are doing better than they were before the shut down. So lots of credit goes to Byron Brown for this.

So I'm about to share my experience with Buffalo Public Schools and First Student . In 2020, I was…read moreharassed and cyber bullied by several teachers in BPS to the point I had to pull my daughter out Public Schools and put her in a charter school to avoid any backlash. This was due to the everlasting problem w my neighbor as these were all her friends that worked for BPS. The 1st year in Charter School, I had absolutely no issues. Then comes year 2. My daughter was bullied on the bus the entire year in which I just literally found out a couple weeks ago. On top of that, the buses changed her pick up and drop off location to a block down from my house. The first year, her bus stop was at our corner. Nobody else besides Phoebe got on or off at her stop and the bus literally drives past our block to drop her off at the next block. Due to Carol knowing so many people in the BPS, I felt like she had one of her scummy friends messing with my daughter's bus stop..... especially given the circumstances. Now given more facts that surface, I no longer believe this is just coincidence. Well today, I find out the bus driver is friends w Carol and her family. Now mind you, this is the same bus driver that allowed my 7 year old to be harassed and bullied alllll year long and never once filled out an incident report. Even after Phoebe constantly complained to the driver about her being hit, being called fat, and having her homework ripped up by these girls.....one of whom calls the bus driver mom First Student is trying to pass the buck and said that bullying starts in school and I need to call the school. The issue is, these are 2nd graders and Phoebe is in 1st grade. She NEVER has any classes w these girls and doesn't even see them in school. I confirmed this w my daughter. First Student pulled the video from the bus and acknowledged 1 of the girls (there are 2) and claim the girl is not related to the bus driver. They will not however confirm if the 2nd child is related to the driver. A major concern is if these girls are not related to the bus driver, why does one call her "mom" and she responds. This is extremely concerning and raises a lot of red flags. I no longer see these as coincidences and will forever see BPS as nothing but a bunch of scumbags who work there. What adult really allows a 7 year old to go through a whole school year of abuse and turns a blind eye??? Bus #426 Carmelita Scott
