This is a quaint old…read morebuilding that houses town offices such as the Town Supervisor, Town Clerk, Assessors Office, etc. Next time you attend something at Island Park or the Williamsville Library, take a look The outside is more historic looking than the inside which is just plain vanilla hallways and mostly closed office doors. With a building front that has such grandeur with massive steps and pillars, the inside is a bit of a disappointment. But if all you care about is to take care of town business, the interior meets the bill.

So I'm surprised that after 25+ years we've never been in the village hall. They're next to the library with the Amherst town hall (which I've been in MANY times on the other side. Village of Williamsville being part of the town of Amherst. I saw that they were giving out the free covid test kits, so I decided to stop and pick up a few. As instructed, I called 1st to see if they still had them and that's when I found out about this building. Long story but I just found it interesting that I never knew this building existed, though I've admired their mural on the side of the building since It was added in August 2020. There's a large parking lot in the back and you can usually also find parking on the street. The inside is pretty nondescript with long halls and small offices spread throughout. 2022-13

Being from out of town, we were not aware that these things require appointments, and really couldn't afford extra time to come back. Not to worry, the gals said they could handle us right away. The lady that took all of our information and printed our license was friendly. She obviously still likes seeing the couples that come in and was excited for us, even though we must've been her umpteenth couple. She recognized that, for us, this was a monumental moment in the process and honored that. All in all, the process took about twenty minutes (there is lots of information to be provided from both people.) The town of Lancaster is actually huge, covering a big chunk of Western NY below Clarence, to the East of Depew and Cheekgtowaga. Its police force are absolutely awful, stopping you for anything and everything (even things you didn't do) to make revenue for the town. It contains the Village Of Lancaster, which is a cute and much smaller little place. When you're out in Lancaster, try eating at Good Tymes South, they have excellent burgers, and the Yelling Goat has some great Ethiopian Wings and all of their food is downright excellent. They have pretty tall people too, which is probably why it's known as Lankycaster.

There are many worse courts out there - such as West Seneca and Cheektowaga.
