When speaking with daycare director to ask about the email, they informed me that the other parents in the classroom who weren't even involved had called in pretty much teaming up to say my son needed to be removed. No warning , no type of plan, but accommodated another student who was a biter with a biting plan in a no biting facility. Nonetheless , teachers were very nice, but lacked classroom management. I would come to pick up my kid and other kids were climbing and classroom smelled like diapers. I waited a month to write a review in order to see if my son would have any issues with the new center he's in and he has not . This place had me get my son evaluated in which district said he couldn't be classified and classroom needed to find other forms of keeping the class engaged. Best of luck to you guys though.

Hysterically crying from how much belly pain they were in and kept asking to eat after every food that was given once we got home. I assumed my child wasn't fed since I gave them breakfast that morning. They're lucky I didn't have proof, otherwise it would've been a lawsuit! Their tuition is NOT worth what they "provide". Where do I start...My child started TLE river vale in September 2023. After rave reviews from…read morefriends whose children attend at other locations, we hoped to have the same experience. Upon our tour we were sold on nutritious meals, small intimate classrooms, clean environment, and caring staff. We were extremely misled by TLE. The first few months put our minds at ease with the access of the TLE app. This told a story of our child thriving, eating every meal and participating in activities. We came to find out the app was extremely inaccurate. Upon speaking with the teachers we were told our child wasn't eating at all after we've been lied to for months about our child's eating via the app. Not only was this extremely irresponsible of TLE but this was also neglectful to not tell us that he was going days without eating and posting photos "to show face". My child started with 12 children in the class in September. Currently the class has 16-18 children which is extremely unsafe! It is impossible for a class that size to be properly cared for with the number of teachers provided. When it comes to a clean environment TLE is NOT the place. There have been multiple instances at pick up where these is a mess of food left on the tables from earlier lunch. While I know kids are messy, my child would come back from school filthy which I'm sure contributed to the amount of urgent care and sick visits monthly. The teachers were very nice I felt bad they were dealing with limited resources and staff. Which makes the teacher turnaround at this center believable. Overall There were many occasions where my child was dropped off later in the day and I've seen teachers sitting at the children's table while the kids played on the other side of the room. I am extremely disappointed in this center and how they've handled situations with our family. The lack of receptiveness to our feedback in the past shows the lack of care for anything other than making money off packing these classrooms with kids. Do your research on these chain daycares before enrolling. I certainly will moving forward.

Biting is bound to happen sooner or later when you put 4-8 toddlers together in 1 room. As soon as I arrived, I saw another parent outside waiting with everyone else to come inside, but she looked upset. I asked her what had happened since she looked sad, and I was told that the director told the UPK teacher to tell her in Spanish that her other son wasn't allowed to come inside since it was only for the students and parents. However, since her husband was not home yet, she brought her other son with her to the event, but they told her that only the current student and parents were supposed to come. As she was telling me, she started crying, and I told her that I would ask them too since I also had my daughter with me since my husband was not home yet. Our kids are only 6 years old and cannot stay home by themselves or in the car. Then I approached one the assistants, since she was the one letting everyone in. I said, 'Hi, I was told by another parent that we are not allowed to come in with our children?' And she replied, without looking at me, 'Yes, that's why we sent an email about no extra guests since there is no space.' I told her I understand, but I mean, since my husband couldn't come, my daughter can take his place, right? She stated that they notified the parents ahead of time and just repeated again what she had already said. Unfortunately, I had to leave since my daughter was not welcomed, and my son was crying, not understanding why he couldn't come inside with his sister. I felt terrible as a mom, not being able to do anything. I understand what they said, but if they want to keep these celebrations, they should do better planning, either rent a tent to put it outside so both parents and siblings can assist, or have the parents notified that the additional child will be there, and even if we have to pay for them to assist to the event. As a mother, I thought to myself, what if it's a single mom or dad and they don't have anyone to leave their other kid with? Why does my child have to miss this experience due to poor organization of the event? It almost feels like they are excluding families. I was told by other parents that three families ignored what they were told and still went inside. I wonder if that's what they wanted me to do too?

When we asked what had happened, the initial response was vague. We followed up with management, who told us she had been "gently redirected" after spitting. The explanation felt scripted and evasive, and our questions were met with repeated, circular responses. Our gut instinct told us that something just felt off. Eventually, we were invited to view video footage. It had already been queued to the moment our daughter was crying, but we asked to rewind. That's when we saw what really happened: the teacher aggressively pulled her by the arm, and then left her standing there crying by herself. It was painful to watch. Not only was the physical interaction too rough, but the complete lack of empathy or attempt to comfort her was deeply upsetting. The teacher was let go on the spot, which validated our concern, but we only got the truth because we pushed for it. The claim that she had been spitting was not reflected in the video either; she and her peers were making silly sounds, which was totally age-appropriate behavior. What made this harder to accept was the school's constant emphasis on "transparency." We had been told, both during our tour and in written communication, that parents are always notified about staff changes and that the director is consistently on-site. Neither was true in our experience. The director opened a second location and was rarely present, without formally introducing or announcing the person she had placed in charge. When parents, ourselves included, asked for clarity, the response was defensive rather than collaborative. It also felt like a revolving door of new teachers. The lead teachers in each classroom were consistent and wonderful, but there was frequent turnover among support staff, and we were rarely, if ever, introduced to the new faces working with our children. This raised questions about why so many people were coming and going, especially in a setting that promotes stability and trust for young children. As someone who works in early childhood myself, I came in with a trained lens and tried to give the benefit of the doubt. But even before the arm-pulling incident, there were things that gave me pause, particularly the way certain staff members interacted with children. While many teachers were warm and developmentally appropriate, we also witnessed harsh tone, punitive responses, and outdated disciplinary tactics that didn't reflect best practices. After the incident, we asked if they would consider a small tuition credit as a gesture of goodwill. Instead of a thoughtful conversation, we received an email accusing us of "extortion" and were told to direct any future communication through a lawyer. It was a jarring and frankly alarming response, especially coming from a program that emphasizes partnership and trust with families. Our children were happy with some of the teachers and we're grateful for that. But ultimately, we could no longer trust the leadership team or the culture they fostered. If you're considering this program, know that while it may appear polished from the outside, our experience suggests there are serious cracks beneath the surface.
