I'm sharing my personal experience with this daycare so other parents can make an informed…read moredecision. We enrolled under what was clearly labeled a 10-month contract. I was informed at the time that this type of contract is typically offered to teachers; however, the director offered it to us as a courtesy when we were preparing to leave, due to the school's 12-month schedule and lack of a guaranteed September spot if a child is withdrawn for July and August. I was clear with the director that I am not a teacher, and the contract was still offered and signed. Based on vocal and written communication, my understanding was that this agreement allowed my child to be out for July and August while maintaining her enrollment for September. Recently, we were unexpectedly asked to confirm our intentions for the next school year. When I referenced the 10-month contract, I was told someone would follow up with me, which did not happen. I then emailed for clarification. The owner responded by stating that I had misunderstood the agreement, despite the contract and email I had in writing from her outlining what the 10 month contract is. When I said I would need to consult a lawyer if the agreement was not honored, I was told the owner does not deal with "litigious people," and my child was removed from the program in the middle of the school day. Separately, my child reported being hit by another student on multiple occasions. When these concerns were brought to the owner, I was told that my child was lying. There was also an incident where staff commented negatively on my child's lunch, telling her that yogurt was unhealthy, which I found inappropriate. This review reflects my direct experience only. I encourage parents to ask detailed questions, get all agreements in writing, and carefully consider how concerns and disputes are handled before enrolling.

I would highly recommend this childcare facility.

For those unfamiliar with Mr. Paul, he was a master guitarist of many genres. In addition, Mr. Paul was one of the pioneers of the solid-body electric guitar, and his prototype, called the Log, served as inspiration for the Gibson Les Paul. Mr. Paul is the only inductee in both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the National Inventors Hall of Fame. (Talk about accomplishments!) Three groups: "The Ed Loeb Quartet", "Tom and Sandy Doyle" and "D n A" performed in Mr. Paul's honor. (Tom Doyle had worked alongside Les Paul). The afternoon had two intermissions. Outside the auditorium, water, cheese, crackers, and other finger foods were supplied by a local ShopRite. During the second intermission, everyone had a slice of Les Paul's birthday cake. The event was extra special to me. I had the pleasure of seeing Les Paul perform at the old and new Iridium Room (NYC) on several occasions. "Note to event organizers": Navigating the college was very confusing. On top of it, the young woman at the security booth gave us "terrible directions". In addition, she didn't make any mention of a shuttle. Luckily, I did google a map of the college campus. Many of the program attendees were of an "older generation", which may not have been to tech savvy. In addition, the attendees may not have been able to walk up the college campus hills. We walked about 90% of the way and a car drove us to the event. After the show, we started walking back and a public safety car drove us back to the parking lot.

His teachers (Ms. Kennia and Ms. Leanna) seem very engaging with him and the students in his class. He absolutely adores them. My communications with Kim, Kristine and Nicole have always been pleasant. There has only been 1 incident of another child biting my son, and they addressed it promptly. Kids will be kids. Biting is bound to happen sooner or later when you put 4-8 toddlers together in 1 room. Plus I love that they have their own app that updates you with pics and videos of what they're doing throughout day. As soon as I arrived, I saw another parent outside waiting with everyone else to come inside, but she looked upset. I asked her what had happened since she looked sad, and I was told that the director told the UPK teacher to tell her in Spanish that her other son wasn't allowed to come inside since it was only for the students and parents. However, since her husband was not home yet, she brought her other son with her to the event, but they told her that only the current student and parents were supposed to come. As she was telling me, she started crying, and I told her that I would ask them too since I also had my daughter with me since my husband was not home yet. Our kids are only 6 years old and cannot stay home by themselves or in the car. Then I approached one the assistants, since she was the one letting everyone in. I said, 'Hi, I was told by another parent that we are not allowed to come in with our children?' And she replied, without looking at me, 'Yes, that's why we sent an email about no extra guests since there is no space.' I told her I understand, but I mean, since my husband couldn't come, my daughter can take his place, right? She stated that they notified the parents ahead of time and just repeated again what she had already said. Unfortunately, I had to leave since my daughter was not welcomed, and my son was crying, not understanding why he couldn't come inside with his sister. I felt terrible as a mom, not being able to do anything. I understand what they said, but if they want to keep these celebrations, they should do better planning, either rent a tent to put it outside so both parents and siblings can assist, or have the parents notified that the additional child will be there, and even if we have to pay for them to assist to the event. As a mother, I thought to myself, what if it's a single mom or dad and they don't have anyone to leave their other kid with? Why does my child have to miss this experience due to poor organization of the event? It almost feels like they are excluding families. I was told by other parents that three families ignored what they were told and still went inside. I wonder if that's what they wanted me to do too?

The only reason we stopped going is because my travel schedule picked up at work so a full time nanny made more sense. I credit TLE for helping my son develop and learn as quickly as he did. During our initial tour, we were told they taught the kids sign language. I was skeptical, but was proven wrong when at 6 months he was signing "more" and "eat" to communicate his needs. I will also be forever grateful for Miss Pam, the teacher in the infant room that helped me get the hang of being a first time working mom. I remember seeing my son roll for the first time and was so excited about it. When I asked Miss Pam how long he'd been doing it, she told me "the first time he does it is when you see it." They do a great job of arranging fun events for the kids; coming up with all sorts of themes and art projects to keep them engaged. They even have an annual petting zoo and water games in the summer. My son loved it there and still remembers all his teachers that took great care of him and his friends that he grew up with. We definitely miss it there and I highly recommend TLE to anyone that is considering them for childcare. The curriculum and environment are top notch and the teachers and the administrative staff truly care not just about the children but for the parents as well.

wish I didn't have to even give a 1 star rating to this place. I have been to a few daycares over…read morethe years and this is by far the WORST AND FILTHIEST! I originally was going to TLE in Waldwick (which is wonderful by the way) but decided to transfer to Ramsey since it was closer to my new home. This daycare was much older looking than the one in Waldwick but I assumed it was clean and my son was being cared for which is all that really mattered to me. Well from day 1 my son came home filthy, white socks were BLACK, food stuck to his clothes, hair and face everyday. I let it go for a week because I didn't want to seem "annoying" which I had every right to be but I figured I'd let it slide temporarily. Until week 2 when he came home with full blown pink eye! Green junk flowing out of his eyes when I picked him up and no one mentioned a thing to me! When I mentioned it, no one had noticed anything wrong with him apparently. My son has had pink eye before but never to this extreme, to the point that his eyes were almost sealed shut and it lasted over 2 weeks. I asked the teacher why I was not called and she said she did tell Tara, one of the directors but apparently she FORGOT to call me. So all day long apparently no one realized that a 10 month old with visible pink eye was still in the class and no parent had yet to pick him up? Absolutely unacceptable. I received no apology or acknowledgement from Tara for neglecting to call me. I waited about another week to see if there was any improvement of cleanliness but every single day my son came home looking like he was rolling around in dirt. I pulled him out within 3 weeks of attending this daycare. I complained to Neelam, the other director - she was very understanding and apologized for the negligence. After complaining, I was refunded one week of tuition. Truthfully, I should've fought for the entire month of reimbursement but I just wanted to cut ties immediately. Flash forward about 6 weeks, I finally get a reimbursement check after following up 3 times. I show up at the daycare to pick of the check that was handed to me by Tara, yet again no acknowledgement or apology for my horrible experience. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND!!! If you love and care for your children's well-being, please please please do your research before committing to this daycare. It was by no means cheap but you could never expect to find this in a Ramsey, NJ daycare.

They truly understand toddlers and create a warm, nurturing environment where little ones feel safe, supported, and excited to explore. We've seen our little guy become more independent, confident, and curious every day, which has been so rewarding to watch. The Montessori approach is thoughtfully implemented, encouraging independence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning. We've seen such amazing growth in our toddler. The school is also exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which gives us so much peace of mind. Everything feels organized, safe, and thoughtfully cared for. Communication with families is fantastic. We always feel informed, included, and supported, which makes a huge difference. The sense of community here is strong, and it really feels like an extension of our family. We're incredibly sad to be leaving as we're moving. It was honestly one of the hardest parts of our decision--Guidepost made it so difficult to go. That alone says so much about the impact it's had on our family. We're so grateful to have been part of this community and couldn't recommend it more highly!

Erika, Jessica, the lead guides in the classrooms, the floaters, and everyone we've interacted with have always left a positive impression on us. Our child is growing and learning so much from the guides at Guidepost. We've learned so much along the way about Montessori thanks to the team there, there are endless opportunities to meet other families and connect over events that happen every month, it has truly been a great experience for us. We were in a different school prior to Guidepost and I don't feel like it's even fair to compare the two. The care and thoughtfulness at Guidepost is different than anywhere else, the attention to details and how much our child has gained from Guidepost has been so impactful to watch. I'll also mention for any caregivers who have children with allergies or dietary restrictions - Guidepost is extremely thoughtful with our Vegan child. Whenever there are events, they go out of their way to tell us about them and make sure our child is included with a vegan option, they keep vegan treats when the class is having ice cream or cupcakes, the guides are constantly in contact with us about the snacks and substitutes that we can bring in, it's been a really wonderful experience compared to the last school we were in and we appreciate how thorough they have been with our family and always making sure our child is included.
