This is by far the most inexpensive place to buy cigars I have seen in Toronto. They have a good selection of Cuban Cigars and the price is very reasonable with the decent selection of non cuban brand to boot. They even had the coveted Cohiba Behike Line in stock at almost online prices (alas I still can't afford and justify buying one) The cashier was very direct and to the point of being curt almost. This place is not fancy and you don't get to walk in the humidor. Nonetheless the prices they offer seem to justify the no frills approach. Mind you they only take cash and debit so do bring a lot of money if you intend to shop here and they are closed on the weekends. I've been coming here for 5 years. As many other reviewers stated, the prices are great but the owner's patience​ and customer​ service skills, well, not so​ much​. Still, he was never downright rude. Not until last week when I called his store for a bit of advice. Definitely don't go here if you're a "newbie" to Cigars. My intensions were to purchase a basic humidor and some nice stogies to get my collection underway. Dude was somewhat abrupt to start but this wasn't enough to taint my quest for a couple of good sticks! The price of a Montecristo No.2 caught my attention at $23.50 a piece, quite the price drop from $35 in other stores. Authenticity questionable at the time but I couldn't resist. I will compare this with one my partner is bringing back from cuba next week. I left the shop no more educated than when I entered in regards to the humidor. Too bad for him. I won't be in a rush to go back there based on his uninterested in sharing his knowledge. read more

They are open Monday to Friday until 6:30pm. Not on weekends or long weekends. They have a HUGE selection of cigars. Some of the wall humidors need to be reconfigured as some mould can be seen on the wrappers. Pick wisely! Prices are awesome though probably best in the city! Taxes are already included in the price displayed. The owner may come off ruff around the edges but he knows what he is talking about. He's very honest and straight up. If your new to cigars then this is not the place to ask questions. If u know what you like and are pretty seasoned then you'll do just fine here. I've been buying Cigars from Cheers since 2000, Their prices are the cheapest in Toronto & surrounding areas for Cigars (Cubans) & cigarettes about 30% less. The guy behind the counter is Peter he is super nice but direct (some may mistake this for rudeness, but it's not) @ very very knowledgeable of the products he sells. I highly recommend Cheers & actually pass out their business cards to fellow Cigar Smokers. Gotta love saving $$$$ On a side note to reviewer Nick S. I don't know what shop you walked into but Peter doesn't wear glasses & as i stated above he's direct not rude, and he & his wife are the ONLY! ones EVER ! behind the counter so I'm gonna have to say your full of S@%t ! I went in there and asked for tobacco that I was buying for a friend. He sold me pipe tobacco and then my friend didn't look at it before he opened it and it was pipe tobacco which unsmokable as a rolled cigarette. I phoned and asked to return it and he lied and said I asked for pipe tobacco. NEVER GO TO THS STORE!!! read more

Definitely my go to place, as I am only a beginner, and on a budget. Best prices, direct service (very direct, essentially no bs), and they have all of the better known brands. The cigars are not as aged or "pluming" like they are in other stores, but with their prices, I think cigar age is compensated for. read more

According to the other reviews I have read so far, this tobacco shop did not meet those expectations. The prices have recently gone up, and I found it to be at par with the more expensive sigar shops. Also, the only carry cubans, apart from one or two from DR. The service was very, very poor and I was not listed to when I gave them my price range (10-15 per cigar). I will never return here, because of service, price and range of cigars. read more

Much has been written about the lacklustre service of this place. My own experience was mediocre in that department. No chatting, questions, or anything similar, but the clerk was not rude, either, just kind of there. For the pipe smoker, Cheers seems to have the best selection of pipe tobacco in the city. It's quite impressive compared to local competition. Actual selection of pipes, however, is mediocre to say the least, and presentation of the pipes is very poor and haphazard. This strikes a strange and disheartening balance considering how much good pipe tobacco they actually have. read more

The establishment has closed down at the Adelaide. I was a frequent customer before but I've always noticed the cigars are a bit dry. In my opinion, I've been to alot of places where the prices are 0.50-1.00$ more, but at least there in a proper functioning humidor and not dried out tobacco. come here for the price of cuban cigars, and a nice mattering of nicaraguan and south american to boot. the sales guy is very direct, but not rude or insulting in any way. about half the price for Cohibas, Romeo and montecristo compared to the chain stores like Thomas Hyndes et al.
