Where do I begin??? Chef David is the way, the truth, AND the light! He was truly a God send and a pleasure to work with. I first encountered Chef David when he catered an end of year event for my sorority in May 2019. I was so impressed with his presentation, professionalism, and taste of his food, that I asked for a business card. I said to myself that day, that if I decided to have a party for my upcoming milestone birthday, this guy was gonna be my caterer. Fast forward to July 2019 when I first contacted Chef David and told him of my plans to have a 50th birthday party the very next month. My ideas for the party were not completely clear so he assisted me by giving his input and ideas on what to do to achieve the look and feel that I desired. On the day of my party, August 24, 2019, he was punctual and professional from start to finish. His tables were set up early and he stepped in and assisted me and my family in bringing items into the venue to decorate for the party amongst other things. Let me just say, that he stepped in all night long and did a multitude of things without being asked and that his job did not encompass. My chosen meal consisted of a buffet dinner with 2 meats, 2 sides, a salad and a roll. Many guests informed me that they really enjoyed the food and shared how tasty they thought everything was. Did I tell you that he is a full service caterer? I also entrusted him to do my birthday cake for what turned out to be a pretty elaborate occasion. My birthday cake was Italian cream decorated with gold polka dots on the top layer and a gold bottom. After all, it was a Golden Birthday - the BIG 50!! My desert table also included 3 different flavored cupcakes (key lime, red velvet, and lemon) that were wonderful. I couldn't do anything but smile because I was very pleased with the whole presentation and the taste of everything. My family now loooooves Chef David! This review is a little late in coming, but that is no reflection on the excellence of Chef David's Catering. He catered my daughter's wedding that was originally supposed to happen on 1/10/25 (Yes, the day Snowstorm Cora showed up in Atlanta!). The entire wedding had to be moved to the following day because people had flown in from out-of town to be there. Chef David was so kind and understanding and assured me he would be there with all his crew. The one request my daughter had was to have a plated dinner at her reception. They picked the main courses and appetizers and we entrusted Chef David to make the Wedding cake and Groom's cake too. Every dish he created was outstanding! From the Deviled Eggs (my husband said they were the best he has ever had - just the right amount of mustard) to the chicken and the Melt-in-your mouth Filet. I must have had at least 20 people from the groom's side seek me out to tell me how excellent the food was, and this was a small wedding! Since we lost some guests due to the snow storm, we did have food left over. My guests did not let it sit there! Many asked to take the food home. I did take the Filets, since they were so outstanding. One of my friends loaded them, and some of the other food in her car for me. They brought the food to my house the next day, but were sure to bring plenty of containers to take some home as payment. The cakes (Red Velvet and Chocolate Mousse) were masterpieces. The cakes were light and fluffy and not too sweet with excellent flavor. The best part is that, IMO, the food was extremely reasonable. It was served with elegance and class. I was extremely proud of how our small wedding (35 guests +/- after losing some to the snowstorm) turned out. My daughter and SIL were thrilled with everything. Words can not even begin to express how amazing Chef David, Lisa and the entire staff are. They were the caterers, extraordinaire at our daughter's wedding, which took place at the UGA State Botanical Garden with 160 guests. They thought of and executed every detail, helping us to create the most beautiful and delicious night. The passed appetizers were mouth watering, including brie tartlets with pepper jelly, mini beef sliders and crab cakes. While guests were enjoying the cocktail hour, the staff worked fast and furiously to flip the room, transforming it from a ceremony to a celebration! They set the tables, exactly as we planned, creating a magical scene. They even helped us find pink glasses for the tables for a unique and elegant table setting. Dinner was beautiful! Each station was in perfect keeping with our decor. They had fresh flowers at each station, as well as a giant martini glass at the shrimp and grits station, and that dish was served in martini glasses for each guest. They went on to a chicken and waffles station, which was a mouth watering. The beef tenderloin was so well seasoned and tender, that you didn't even need a knife to enjoy it! Finally, I had never seen such an salad bar. They had every ingredient you could possibly imagine. Oh-I almost forgot the beverage station. The pineapple lemonade was a hit! I had no idea it would be so elegant, as the tea and lemonade was served from huge, gorgeous silver punch bowls in beautiful glassware. Every server for food and drink couldn't have been nicer. They felt like family! At the end of the night, it was all hands on deck and they left the space better than they found it. First of all I want to say Chef David you are truly a man of your word! You delivered exactly what you said you will do and then some. This is was my first time working with Chef David and his team. When I contacted him and asked him to give me a quote for a non profit small Christian school and asked him if he was able service us in a less two week window of the event. Chef David, was not only happy to assist he was eager to accommodated in any way he could. I wasn't sure if I could afford him, with the tight budget I was given. Again, Chef David came thru. When the day of the event arrived, Chef David and his team came and set up and everything fell in place. With my set up of the tables and his food lay out really came together like I imagine it to be in my head. It truly was a team effort but I couldn't of done it without Chef David . As the students and staff partake in the Thanksgiving feast all I heard as I walked around was satisfied tummies. The staffs was absolutely blown away by how the food taste . Chef David and staff catered my wedding in October 2021. I cannot express how fabulous they were from his website and selection of food choices, the experience of communicating with David and his staff, the wonderful food for my wedding reception, presentation of food buffet and last but definitely not least, the incredible staff working with Chef David. Chef David and Chef Lisa are the best! I have used them for 4-7 different corporate events and when my daughter got engaged, I was so excited (for her) but also so I could get Chef David to cater the wedding!!! Their team is professional, attentive to everyone's needs, they fill up glasses before we can ask, take plates away so we can go get more YUMMY FOOD!! I would NEVER consider anyone else to cater my events. The wedding was so important to all of us and they treated us like Kings and Queens! The tables were full of wonderful food, breads, salads, etc. and the florals around the food made it look so beautiful. The caterer I contracted with had a family emergency and was not available to fulfil my event. A friend recommended Chef David. I contacted him at the last minute (a month out) and he was very gracious and personable. I explained what I wanted although I didn't know all the ends and outs of what was necessary. Chef David assisted me along my journey. He conducted a walk thru the venue. Explained what was necessary to make my event (mother's 90th birthday celebration) outstanding. Chef David added extras to my menu and the food was excellent. When we arrived everything was set up and the room elegant. My guests and I raved about the food, which was plentiful. Chef David offered the guest take out containers of which they readily availed themselves. Chef David and his staff were extremely professional. Several guests stated they would use him in the future. It has been two weeks since the event and guests are still remarking how fabulous the event was and Chef David was a major contributor. The wonderful thing about dealing with Chef David is that once you agree to the invoice, you can forget the catering. Wonderful food, beautifully presented, appears when it is scheduled. After that, you only have to listen to compliments. We had an afternoon funeral reception. Even though the firm already had other events scheduled for the day, David called me personally to work through what he could do. I had no idea how wonderful it would be. Sandwiches, fruit, vegetables on beautiful platters. They delivered everything we needed, serving utensils, plates, cups, forks, everything. Nothing looked cheap but it was all disposable so I didn't have to return anything. I could talk to my family and friends without any worries. Chef David provided catering for our wedding reception of around 200 guests. They went above and beyond to put on an incredible reception. The food is not your typical wedding food. He is able to add such variety and flavor to your menu. In addition, the presentation of the buffets was beautiful!! They are very organized and prepared and exceeded all our expectations. They are very easy going and have an amazing customer service attitude that put us at ease. They were always willing to help outside their job description with incredible attitudes. I cannot recommend Chef David highly enough!!!! We used him to cater a meal following a Memorial Service for my father, and although we were unable to give him much notice, he delivered the food to Marietta and it came right on time and ALL of it was STUPENDOUS!!! The salad, chicken marsala, roasted potatoes, broccoli, rolls and cake (picture perfect and fit for a wedding!!!) were all so DELICIOUS and got rave reviews from all of my family and friends! The presentation was outstanding; and the portions more than ample!!! It was an extraordinary value for a superb meal. Chef David Catering is Fantastic! Extremely Flavorful! I love this guy. We ordered with short notice so we did not know if he could fit us in. Not only did he make some great recommendations to us but the delivery, setup, and the variety was incredible. Everybody was talking about the aroma that was coming from where the food was and seconds were taken by those who still had the room. I am sorry that I did not take any pictures to post with this review. We will definitely be using him again and I may have to rethink how much work I want to put in for a family gathering in the future vs. having Chef David set everything up for us. Chef David and his team catered the rehearsal dinner and reception for our wedding. Chef David and Lisa were incredibly professional and easy to work with on the front end as we figured out what we needed and wanted. On the day of their team was professional, they took care of everything, the food was perfect, they were on top of covid precautions to make us feel safe and comfortable while remaining convenient. All of this was for an event with 170 guests, during covid, and at a venue with numerous requirements. Chef David did an awesome job catering my late husband event. Everyone raved about the food, desserts, presentation, flowers, and wait staff. Our company has used Chef David for several functions. Each time he has delivered excellent service and food. We have tried many of his culinary delights to mix it up a bit.
