The food however was not the only high point - Honu Cuisine is a package. It's Hiram's incredible ability to source the best and freshest ingredients, use his customer's menu choices to perfectly match those ingredients, and create a beautiful, artistic, and incredibly tasty meal. It's also about Hiram's carefully chosen "front of house" assistant. That's right, he comes with a partner. In our case we feel very lucky and honored for that front of house to be Jordan. He is a long-time resident of the island, a fruit and vegetable farmer, and an incredibly knowledgeable foodie and Maui host. Separately Hiram and Jordan would be spectacular, together they are magical. The meal was entertaining, stimulating, and delicious. Hiram brought everything from cookware to serving dishes along with his incredible ingredients, Jordan brought fresh flowers and entertainment. He does all the shopping, cooking, and even clean up so you don't have to lift a finger! He was able to accommodate various dietary restrictions and preferences of our group (ages 5 up to 70) and cooked exactly what we requested. The food was tasty, fresh, and filling. We all gained a few extra pounds on this trip ;) He arrived early to prep and cook and the food was ready on time. In addition to his talented cooking skills, he is kind, professional, humble, and personable. Chef Roberts provides services throughout Maui but will also fly to other locations upon request.
