Great date night fun! This was our second, and definitely not our last, event with Chef Rashaad. He is super talented. The evening we chose this time was the Pasta Party. The night started with Chef demonstrating how to make homemade pasta and instructing on how to chop veggies for a homemade sauce. Rashaad gave us a great experience in his cooking studio that he carved out into a great industrial space with tons of room and equipment. I fully recommend booking through AirBnb, because you'll get the most bang for your buck that way. My girlfriend and I came here for our anniversary because it sounded like we'd get something more than the average cooking class, and boy was I right. Rashaad was one of the most personable guys I have ever met. He was easy to talk to and seemed genuinely interested in our lives. Through pure happenstance, we were the only two people there that night, so we got a great, up-close-and-personal cooking lesson that I haven't ever heard of before. He taught us about the right way to cut things and how to balance spices not just in each component of the dish, but how to play the components off each other. There was a portion were we watched him do his thing and got to taste it. Then, it was our turn. He set us free to play with the cuts, the amounts of what we wanted, the spice blending. Chef Rashaard of Chef Nite whom is also the same from Florida catered a birthday party given to me by my husband. Chef was very friendly but For the price paid and the service provided. I was not happy at the end of the day with the way my kitchen was left. Then the dinner provided was not as tasting as I thought it should have been considering it was greens/yams with chicken and shrimp. My guests complain afterwards about the lack of season and under cook green and dry meat. I never got to eat all of my food outside of the appetizers that was the best food served. Chef was paid in full prior to leaving. Since our party was outside it wasn't until he was gone that it was notice everything left in the kitchen and the condition. We was even charged extra for a server that never showed up and charged a 20% gratuity automatically. I was really hoping to use his service again but with this experience it's hard to refer him to someone else. We have great gathering that all enjoy coming to but never have we had one like this before. And it was for my birthday. Was advised that he would be sending money back for the extra that was charged but as of right now I don't see anything. What a perfect Date night! We have been so busy with life and decided to spend some time for us. This was the ideal choice, we had a blast. Chef Rashaad has a very colorful way of educating and all the information is very interesting and relevant. We learned knife skills and a lot about the chemistry of cooking. We loved the casual atmosphere of the place as well as the whole experience. It was a full class and it was great to share the experience with a room full of happy people. We will be back! read more

Tonight was my birthday celebration, and in true married couple fashion I started it with arguing with my husband! literally we pulled up and I was grumpy, but the minute Chef Rashaad came out to greet us... I was SOOO over it. We came up and found his palette grown garden. I personally love this, coming from Austin Texas, and then he was so excited to meet us! I was greeted with fun music and a space that is so intimate and fun. I couldn't help but smile. Chef proceeded to cook us a 4 course meal, we had a great time chatting and just enjoyed our company. The night proceeded with fabulous wine, and tons of laughs. If you are looking for a night to change up the routine and have some laughs... WOW this is exactly what you need. Where do I start? I purchased through Groupon for two. After making my purchase I proceeded to schedule our class. Only to discover the classes are limited for Groupon purchasers (Grilling and Louisiana style meal) well, I have absolutely no interest in learning to grill, my husband does a wonderful job at it and I'm allergic to tomatoes, so Louisiana style was out of the question... if I knew this, I wouldn't have purchased the Groupon. I also quickly learned there's additional cost for Groupon purchasers, $5 registration fee and $20 mandatory food cost (which is NOT stated on Groupon). I called to get clarification and didn't receive an answer but was instructed to send a text message. Chef Rashad isn't prompt in communicating. We finally pay a $5 registration fee to schedule our session for Groupon purchases. The $5 registration fee was withdrawn from my account 3 times. My husband mentioned it to Chef, via text and he DID NOT RESPOND nor express concern, although, he was in communication regarding something else. Well, hours before the scheduled class, Chef Rashad texts my husband and states the class that night is for private dining and is $150. We were ALREADY scheduled for group cooking and he confirmed it.... email proof. Unpleasant customer service and hidden fees. I will submit a dispute through Groupon to receive my money back. read more

Came tonight to celebrate my birthday with hubby! Chef Rasheed is awesome. He was able to keep it fun and funny as he showed us how to prepare our cabbage, onions and peppers and for the protein Ahi Tuna! I prepared mine with curry, coconut milk and saracha (sp). It was great! I definitely want to plan a couples night here. read more

This was a surprise from my boyfriend that travels for work. We had so much fun! Is has a PG13 sense of humor but it's refreshing to see someone who can be their self and do something they love. My parents, myself and boyfriend were gifted vouchers to have a date night. I've always wanted to do one of this Cooking Events so I was overly excited to receive. FYI - its not disclosed anywhere that there's a $20 or more per person food cost, and price is based on what's being cooked for that event. In January I made a reservation for Valentines Day weekend....after trying to get confirmation, and NEVER hearing back, I got a reply the DAY BEFORE confirming. At that point I had already made other plans considering its a busy weekend. I booked in June with my parents, was charged the $5 reservation fee, and received confirmation. Reservation was for 8pm, but at 6:30pm I received a TEXT saying the AC unit wasn't working and we had to cancel. 2 days later I request a new date, and was confirmed. 5 hours before our reservation, I received another TEXT - cancelled due to AC. I emailed the Owner 9/18 to rebook....still waiting on an email back. This companies communication is the WORST! They don't callback after leaving multiple voicemails, they encourage text messages but NEVER reply, and don't reply to emails. I mean to confirm or cancel so last minute over a text message is completely unprofessional. I was able to get credited back for the vouchers because I refuse to give more money to this company, and disputed the reservation fee since no one wants to contact me back. Save your money and find another place like this. read more

OMG! What a horrible night. It started off by the "chef" telling us that he was going to say inappropriate things and tell off color jokes. He stated that if we didn't want that then we should leave, that he didn't care because he has already been "Paid!" The night was not about learning how to cook, but rather listening to the "chefs" jokes about masturbation and how a sliced cooked red onion looks like a vagina. What a joke! Was on a group retreat and signed up for Chef Nite as an activity on a Saturday nite. We had a great time learning techniques, preparing the food, and making the meal. Rashad was a great instructor and host, he was informative and entertaining. We all agreed that we learned something new and had a great time! Would definitely recommend this as a fun activity for groups to learn more about food preparation and cooking all while enjoying each other's company and having a good time. read more

Needless to say when you first pull up to the venue you really don't know what you're getting into however once we met our chef his personality and his skills as a chef were top notch. We had an absolute blast. On the website it shows only 1/2 hour however we were there for easily one and a half hours with no rush. We ended up making salmon. We were the only couple there however the informal nature of the event allowed us to relax and have fun. We won't do this five times a year but I'm sure we will be back. read more

My friend and I recently attended a special "Chef Nite" cooking class for two as a gift for her birthday. Chef Raashad is very personable, knowledgeable, and a whole lot of fun and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience! The location is a little off the beaten path, but Chef Raashad has a fully stocked kitchen with everything needed to prepare a meal, including ingredients. I would, however, recommend he provide aprons for those doing a hands-on cooking class and that the music be turned down just a bit so his instruction can be heard better. My friend and I are both fairly good in the kitchen, enjoy entertaining and are not afraid of trying new things. Chef Raashad worked with us in advance on menu selection and was very accommodating of our skill level and specific request to learn some new plating techniques. Under Chef Raashad's guidance, we made a complete meal consisting of fried polenta cakes with sun-dried tomatoes, Caprese salad with balsamic glaze, chicken piccata over pasta, and a flaming drunken berry tart with chocolate ganache...all while picking up a few new cooking skills along the way. Everything turned out beautifully and was quite delicious! Overall, I would highly recommend this experience for date night, girls' night out, special occasions, etc. as a unique and fun way to learn something new for everyone from beginners to those with any level of prior cooking experience. read more

We brought the wine, he cooked, excellent Soul music in the background making for a wonderful time. My husband and I tried some new foods which were delicious and paired perfectly with the wines we brought. Had a pan seared black chicken seasoned with Asian spices on top of a wonderful Asian inspired salad. The alligator etouffee was fabulous reminding me of a meal I had which was prepared by Chef Emeril. Only reason why not 5 stars is because of the setting. Chairs not too comfortable and the eating space was cramped, but in many ways I felt like I was eating in a old friends kitchen. read more
