I attended a wedding here recently. The ceremony was outside under a gazebo. The reception was outside up under a white tent. It was a lovely wedding here. The bride and groom entrance to the reception was dramatic when the front outside of the building moved up like a garage door to reveal the dance floor area. Fyi- no breakfast is provided. We arrived at 8:30 pm and joined the hosts and the other guests in The Pub. He had a kegerator and provides guests with beer. It was fun to hangout and talk. His Great Dane was present. We got there after the goats were out away. Our yurt was clean and comfortable. You park next to it and have a golf cart to get around the property. We toured the man cave, cracker house, main house, and tree house. My favorites were the cracker house (felt like a historical museum) and the yurt. The tree house is basically the yurt, but elevated in a tree. We used the segways and electric bikes. Dan took some guests out in his plane. It's one person per trip and he leaves at 8am. You need to put in ur request ahead of time to ensure you get to go. The closed food is five minutes away at the Geneva General Store. The properties have a microwave, grill and fridge. Ok the TRUTH... TV cameras do allot of magical things. However here was what happened. We were forced to show other people staying on the property our place we rented for the night. Our personal belongings were in there and it was not asked if it was ok . They walked in plopping down on the sofa like they were home awkward. Then you are forced to spend your evening with Dan and his Wife drinking the leftover beer from the wedding that was the day before. We were told it was expected of us. We dont even drink. All and all a cool place but your in Danville where Dan is the Mayor and his rules go. read more

My friend held her wedding at Danville Bed and Breakfast so I got to spend a few days there. I'll tell you, I've never seen such a cool venue! This places offered several areas. They have an airplane hanger which is attached to a house. That's where we stayed and where the wedding reception was held. They also offer a Yurt, a treehouse, and a man cave. Each have not only a different style but also offer different aminities. The staff were great and really went the extra step to take care of everything. My friend's wedding was one of the best I've been to and I've been to many! Much of the success of the day was from the great venue and the staff that made sure everything went well! Some of my favorite thing about the property were the animals! Behind the hurt was a pen of alpacas! The man cave had a goat pen and there was a super sweet cat I called the "cat of honor". I hear they are working on another cool unique rental area. I can't wait to see what else they do! You can rent the entire property which is huge or parts of it depending on what you are planning. I could easily see family reunions, get aways or just a staycation in a tree house! read more

Dan is extremely personal and easy going, part of the experience is going to happy hour and getting to know dan as well as the other people who are staying in either the treehouse, the man cave, and etc. We loved our stay, very peaceful, quiet and remote. This place is amazing! I planned an event here for 150 of my clients and they absolutely loved it! Wonderful and beautiful place! Back in November 2021 my husband and I held our 20-year Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony and Reception there. Ms. Sally was wonderful, professional and so nice! Anytime I had questions all I had to do was text her and she responded back quickly. Answered all of my questions. On the day of the event there was a concierge lady that was really nice and helpful. She made sure things went fairly smooth. We used their gazebo to renew our vows under. It was perfect!! At night, it's absolutely spectacular with all of the lights in the big oak trees. There is a pub there and our guests enjoyed being served beer from a tap and cold wine. Danville itself is so unique. All of our guests were amazed when the side of the airplane hanger lifted up on hydraulics to see my husband and I dancing to our song. The night was perfect! If you are wanting a venue that is beautiful I encourage you to make an appointment to go see Danville Bed & Breakfast, you won't regret it. Danville is a very unique and very creative place. The actual rooms were amazing, and most of the staff, especially Jessica did a phenomenal job making the entire wedding event possible! However, the owner Dan really put a damper on the whole experience. The entire wedding party is comprised of very successful and responsible adults, yet Dan made the entire wedding party feel like we were irresponsible teenagers who had a curfew. We were not rambunctious, but we enjoyed laughing and talking over a few beers. We were told Friday night that we could be outside until 9. Around 830 he asked us to go inside the bar because we were being too loud. The entire place is packed full of cameras, so he is constantly watching your every move. If you are out past 11pm he is sure to let you know the next morning. He also feels entitled to any of the beer and food that is present before during and after the wedding. We had pizza and wings the night before the wedding and he made sure to not only take a couple of boxes with him that night, but also help himself the next day to entire platefuls of leftovers while we were all getting ready for the wedding and could not leave. During the reception he put a decibel meter next to the DJ which alerted him whenever the music went above 85 decibels. Unreal. It's a celebration! The bartender, supplied by Danville spent most of the night irritated that he was there and asking people in the wedding party to ask the bride and groom if he could leave at 9 instead of 930 because he had other plans that night. They drank our beer and ate the fruit from the sangria the guests brought without asking or offering to anyone who was actually supposed to be there! Then when we took a couple of cans of beer from the keg fridge he almost chased us down telling us we couldn't have them and they were his. Very one- way. While I believe that he may have good intentions, they were severely overshadowed by his overbearing behavior. I understand that Danville may host over 100 weddings annually, but please remember Dan, even though it may be just another wedding for you, these are very special days for the individual couples. Weddings are a celebration. Expect loud music, laughter and dancing, especially if you are hosting them! read more

My craft group holds our annual Xmas party and Spring retreat there every year and it is just magical!! Danville combines picturesque flora and fauna, an amazing little town built into an old airplane hanger, high tech toys like karaoke and a cool photo booths, finger licking good food, and the most lovely host and hostess on earth. Although it's only a 40ish minute drive from Winter Park, when I go out there, I feel like I'm transported into another world. Imagine waking up to a view of wild turkeys running through lush gardens as you're lured out of bed by the cardinals singing and the sweet aroma of stuffed french toast. After breakfast, enjoy a short walk to historic Fort Lane on Lake Harney. At lunch, you'll be entertained by squirrels trying to get birdseed out of the Yankee Squirrel Flipper Bird Feeder (I posted a photo, but if you don't know what I'm talking about, you have to youtube it! It's hilarious-- especially in person!). If you're lucky, you'll also get to play dress up in their photobooth. They've collected some really fun and wacky accessories, and I have some of the best pictures from there! At night, DJ Dan turns on the disco lights, so you can grab a beer from the pub and dance and sing the night away. We stayed in the "Man Cave" this weekend and had an amazing time. The Man Cave has all the amenities you need including Satellite TV, Netflix, Artic Blasting AC, and a comfortable bedroom loft. Dan stopped by with his goats and invited us to happy hour at the inn. (Yep you read that correctly) He gave us a tour of the Tree House rental property and the Yurt. It was an incredible vacation experience and I highly recommend the Man Cave to anyone looking for relaxing unique accommodations. read more

Coming home. Coming home is the best way to describe our stay at Danville BnB. We were treated like family. And after our stay, we feel like Dan and Debbie are part of ours. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. To take care of us. To watch over us. It truly was like we were with family. They love people and it is easy to love them because they are down to earth, genuine, and warm. Now let's get to the digs! Oh my, plush luxury! From the four post king bed, to the modern elaborate theater room with 70 inch 3D flat screen TV, to the huge walk in double head shower, to the enormous walk in closet, to the large kitchen complete with contemporary large four burner gas stove and full size side by side refrigerator, to the amazing living room, and library room, and porches, and lawns. My awesome friend had her baby shower here today and even though it was almost a 2 hr drive from Winter Haven it was a really neat place to hold an event. The place from what I understand when talking to the hostess was at one point an air plane hanger that her husband just added on to over time to where it now transports you to a time sort of like when you walk on main st usa when you enter magic kingdom a time period of simplicity and southern flair with the saloon signs and the old styled buildings in this gorgeous B&B. The upstairs with the bridal suite and the theater are gorgeous that they lend out for weddings and such. You can tell by looking at this place the owners have put a lot of time and love into this location to create a magical place that I can understand why someone would want to get married because it is just a simple sweet quiet place that is in a gorgeous location.
