    Chef Olintho We had our wedding reception (for 16) in the penthouse of the Oceanfront Hotel (also reviewed) and selected Chef Olintho to cater it. He was very responsive to our initial inquiries, and we met with him to plan out our event. He has an extensive repertoire, and we eventually narrowed it down to a manageable list of items. What an event ! He and his crew of 2 rolled out small plates all night, all delicious and beautifully served. He topped it off with a paella made on a large, special burner set up on the penthouse deck overlooking the water. His planning, cooking, presentation, and personality made it a memorable evening. Everything he needed came in with him, and when he left it was like he was never there. The best party ever. Highly recommended.

    Had an amazing housewarming that in large part was a result of Rafael and his team. The food was delicious and the composition gorgeous. He and his team came over two hours before to prepare and then cooked everything in my kitchen, which made all of the food super fresh. The whole experience was fantastic and I received a ton of compliments from my guests on the food and his team.

    Hired Chef Rafa for a bachelorette party with 15 girls. It was the highlight of the weekend and way more fun than going to a restaurant or bar! The tapas style was perfect for a large group and being able to do this at home meant everyone could really enjoy themselves, mingle, eat when they wanted, and watch the cooking process (they even brought their own butane burner to make the paella from scratch outside). The food was delicious, the pacing was perfect, Rafa and his team were delightful. We opted to hire a bartender as well which was a great choice considering that he brought high quality ingredients to make fun drinks like spicy margaritas, an amazing passion fruit/tequila drink, and palomas. Chef Rafa was also super accommodating as we needed dishes that were gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian. I truly felt like him and his team went above and beyond to make sure this was an elevated and wonderful experience. Everyone who attended was seriously raving about this event. Cannot recommend Chef Rafa and his team enough if you're looking to have amazing food and a fun atmosphere!!

That is not what happened. There was essentially no hands-on cooking. My wife and I repeatedly asked how we could help, and the only participation we were given was washing lettuce and chopping a small amount of pepper. There was no meaningful instruction, no real teaching, and very little engagement. The ingredients were also very disappointing for the price. Store-bought tortilla chips were used despite the menu advertising homemade chips. The carne asada was supposed to include chimichurri, but it was seasoned with store-bought seasoning from a jar and no actual chimichurri was prepared. I contacted Cozymeal immediately with detailed feedback. After delays, they refused to refund the booking and offered only a 15% gift card toward another Cozymeal experience, which is useless because I would never use them again. This was an awful experience and Cozymeal did not stand behind it. I would strongly recommend avoiding this platform.

    7/27/25 Zach…read moresurprised me with a ramen cooking class at The Story of Ramen. I lovvvve ramen (and noodles in general) so I was ecstatic for this experience. The Story of Ramen is located in the Mission so parking was a little tricky. We got to the general area 20 minutes before so that we could get a decent parking spot. We did the 4 hour advanced workshop where we learned about how to prepare the broth, marinated eggs, chasiu pork, tare seasoning and how to make the ramen. For that day, there were 5 other pairs. Our teachers Manville and Jeff, guided us through every step of the arduous process of making the perfect bowl of ramen. The workshop started off with a lecture about the history of ramen and the creation of The Story of Ramen. Of all the tasks we did, my favorite was making the ramen itself. After learning in detail how much work goes into making ramen, I appreciate ramen more than I ever did before. This was a great team building activity and something new for us. I highly recommend this and of course you get to eat the bowl of ramen you make at the end of the workshop!
