Omar is our pleasant delivery guy. He is always on the lookout for the Chicken burrito for me. No burrito this week, but a Creamy Tomato Penne was on the menu. It was great! What a great concept!!! The first question I asked the delivery/chef guy, Samuel, was "Do you offer plant based, vegan or vegetarian options?" To my surprise, he said YES! My co-worker and I placed an order for the Mediterranean Chicken Salad (minus the chicken) with hummus and pita. We were very impressed with the flavor and freshness of the ingredients. We will continue to use their services now that we know we can ask for a vegan/vegetarian option. The food is great and the price is reasonable. Chef on the Road has a new weekly menu consisting of different types of delicious types of foods from sandwiches, pastas, soups, fruit bowls, various salads, fit meals, and much more. Since i have a gluten/wheat allergy, i can frequently find something that i can safely eat, and if you're not sure, you can always inquire about it. The food is freshly made each morning before it goes out on delivery to various businesses. You can always go online to check out the menu for the week. They recently started coming to our office between 10:30 and 11:30 weekdays. Most of the food is fresh and great tasting. I usually do a salad or sandwich. Co-workers love the potato soup. Got the tomato soup and wasn't a fan due to texture. It tasted good......just not smooth and creamy. Can't wait to see what other soups they offer! read more

Delicious!! Anything you get from the chef is YUMMY!! My favorite is the Mediterranean Salad with hummus and pita bread. Always fresh veggies on the salad with perfectly marinated chicken. The hummus is the best I've ever had!! The only down side is that it is hard to choose from the variety of dishes they have. Can't decide, if it's available, will alway choose the salad. Menu changes and has a variety but a few items will be carried certain days of the week!! read more

Food is good, selection is ok. Service, horrible. The driver never waits long enough. We are a large building and I work in a warehouse office. Only way I know if the driver is here is when our receptionist emails us. Today I got an email @ 11:05. I went to go get some food and by 11:07 the driver was gone. Also, the driver had not been showing up for 2 weeks and never got any notice as to why. Guess they don't want our business. EDIT: They did come back today. So, I will up the stars. read more

I absolutely love Chef On The Road! Our guy on the Summerlin route is very friendly and always takes the time to show us all of the lunch options available. The meals are a little over $9 but they're worth the price considering the convenience and generous portions. All of the meals are fresh and taste great. Salads are always available amongst other daily meals. There can be times when a specific meal runs out during the daily run but you can always call ahead of time and ask to have it put to the side until they get to you. If they're not already servicing your area, reach out. You won't regret it. read more

I have been eating meals from Chef on the Road for a week now. So far, I have been impressed with their filling meals. I also love the variety of the different meals each day. It's nice to have a meal rather than just going to a fast food establishment during work. It personally saves me time, gas, and money. My only concern so far is their chicken can sometimes be a bit too salty for my taste. Other than that, their bread is soft. With my meals, it looks like their ingredients are fresh and that gives me a peace of mind! read more

Chef On Te Road is just that, prepped meals to go. It's convenient, inexpensive, friendly face-to-face encounter with, and not to mention the mouth-watering food. By far I have tried the pasta with meatballs, pesto salad, and the fajita sub with chipotle dressing. I recommend all of them. The office where I work has a microwave as well as a mini oven, I have the convenience of heating up the food, as this may not be the case for some. Other than that, the exceptional service, delicacy that's taken In packaging, and quality of the food, deserves a 5 star rating. I highly recommend!!! read more

I have been a customer for a couple years now and for the past two weeks I have been receiving the worst service ever. I usually get pre orders of salads and they "forget about my order." Our usual delivery guy no longer services our building not sure why, he had such amazing customer service and always had my pre orders correct and now the current driver forgets?... But they have also raised the price and the plates are smaller portions. Coworkers of mine complain about their orders as in small portions, hair found in food, bread being soggy, salads not fresh etc... Nothing has been changed it's been two months now. read more

Discovered these guys when I started a new job. Always friendly, and really accommodating. I recently found out you can customize and pay for your meal online and you don't have to worry about being around or available when they show up. I've only tried a few salads and sandwiches, but everything has been good so far. The egg salad in particular is GREAT! Also, portions are huge. I've yet to finish all of my meal whether it be a salad or sandwich. read more

I LOVE CHEF ON THE ROAD!!!! I work in an office building on the southwest side with very little in lunch options available, with Julio and Chef on the Road I can enjoy a quality meal at a reasonable price. I love the soup and sandwich combos but typically go with a healthful salad option. Everything is always fresh and tasty with a gourmet presentation. The delivery/driver that comes to my office is always courteous and delivers my lunch graciously with a smile! Thank you Chef on the Road for keeping me from the unhealthy fast food options throughout the week. UPDATE I ordered the chicken teriyaki today, for a patient who was in for a day long procedure, he was adamant that I let the owners know that he loved it! Julio makes some amazing dishes for lunch. Everything on the lunch menu are always fresh, healthy and delicious. From the salads, sandwiches to the hot meals. It's hard to eat healthy and expensive. Chef on the Road prices are reasonable, usually around $7 for a meal. So, call Chef on the Road or go online to see what's on the menu for the week and get it delivered to your office if you don't have time to go out for lunch. Tip- I believe they don't have drinks on the menu. read more

COTR first came into our office to introduce themselves as they were starting to service our office building. I like the business model they have, a few meals on a designated day, and they come to you! Every Friday they will come and bring the new menu for the following week. The delivery guy is extremely courteous. Even if we have not put in an order, he will pop in and just check with the office before he leaves. The food choices have a pretty good variety between meals. Each day they have some kind of sandwich available as well as a hot meal option and salads. Menu is small, but very simple, which I appreciate. I don't like having too many options as it prolongs the choosing process. I enjoy the pasta meals, which are "hot". They come cold, and you have to reheat yourself, which is perfectly find with me. I typically eat a little later in the afternoon, so keeping it cold until I'm ready to eat is ideal. I have not had any problems with my meals. They have all been delicious, and convenient! read more

An absolute must for any busy office! They come every day, rain or shine, with affordable, high-quality lunches. I only have 30 minutes for lunch, so they save me both a trip out and a delivery fee for ordering in. The food is delivered by a very friendly guy. Several different options available. I've bought some breakfast burritos and wraps for my daughter, and she LOVES them! I've brought sandwiches home to my husband, and he even raves about the quality of the fruit included on the side! As for me, I usually get Salads. He recently merged with another food service partner to become Chefit, and I have already had two major food/health safety issues in my first order. 1. I have a moderate shellfish allergy and clearly disclosed it when I started the service. After taking a few bites of my meal today, my tongue started tingling and swelling. I dug around and found a whole, large, tail-on piece of shrimp under the noodles. I had to leave work early to go home to take medicine and tend to my physical needs. 2. I leave an ice chest with ice packs out for the delivery person to put the weekly meals in, but whoever delivered it left the lid open several inches and I had to throw out the top meal because it had warmed up to outdoor temperature after being exposed for a few hours. I messaged Chef Matt about these issues. He did apologize, but instead of rectifying the situation, he said I should find a different meal service. I told him I was disappointed with his response especially since I'd been a loyal weekly customer for so many years, and then I cancelled all future orders. I appreciate the apology, but this wasn't a simple mixup- these are two major food safety/health infractions, and the only solution I was given was being told to leave.
