Went here with some friends for a cooking class. Our theme was Tuscany and we had a wonderful time!…read more They give you everything you need to cook. Some of the meals you're cooking are simpler than others. We had a pear arugula salad, bolognese, and olive oil cake on the menu. The chef and her crew were great! They took their time and explained everything to us. For the pasta, we actually made the noodles! Which was really cool! The whole experience was so much fun! You get to eat the food after you're done, but make sure you eat it because you cannot take the leftovers. Everything was yummy! Tip: you can BYOB! We brought our own bottle of wine! They don't charge a corkage fee and have glasses for you. I highly recommend a cooking class! Especially with friends or a date night. It was a lot of fun! We want to do their surf and turf one next.

We had a great experience at the Memorial location of Sur La Table for a dim sum cooking class…read more This was a Christmas gift from me to J. and was on a Sunday a bit after lunch. When we got to the class, it was completely full and we were paired with another couple. Among the 4 of us, we made potstickers filled with shrimp and pork, as well as bbq pork bao buns. Our instructor was great - I enjoyed his humor and he made the class lively! We were greeted with tea to sip on and the ingredients were prepped in advance with small containers of each sauce, veggies, mushrooms, etc. We took turns chopping, or whisking, or using the stand mixer. I learned some useful knife skills as well! It was fun learning how to fold the wonton wrappers as well as the dough for the bao buns. I appreciated the chance to learn multiple delicious recipes and we had a fun group! I would have appreciated more observation of making the bbq pork as that was pre-prepared, and going through the multiple ingredients we used as they were not labeled. That being said, we received recipe booklets so that we can try them on our own. We had a pause midway through the class during which the Sur La Table staff steamed our potstickers and bao buns and we browsed the store with our day-of discount. When we returned, I enjoyed sharing the delicious dim sum! We were pretty full towards the end but learned that we can't take any of the food out of the store due to any risk on the store which was a bummer. Nevertheless our group chowed down and finished our tasty meal! I enjoyed all the instructors and staff at this location and would certainly be open to coming back, though for a special occasion as their classes are on the pricey end.

After looking at several options, I decided on Indulgence by Natasha because of her attention to the flavors and foods that we liked, instead of a generic menu. Chef Shannon arrived on-time and quickly got to work preparing a delicious meal. She was friendly and personable, but never intrusive. She cleaned as she went and by the end of the night we had one of the best meals of recent memory, a clean kitchen, and I had a happy wife! Highly recommended and will use again for the next special occasion.

She asked how many people, what kind of plates and glasses I wanted) and figured out everything. Chef Shannon arrived with an assistant who made the experience so memorable I later inquired about their personal chef services. Chef Shannon has come to my house to meal prep for the last five weeks now and I'm exceptionally pleased about everything. Natasha and Chef Shannon took into consideration all dietary restrictions (there are many) and created weekly menus based on those needs. I've enjoyed delicious, restaurant-quality, healthy meals. I highly recommend Indulgence by Natasha and specifically Chef Shannon as she has taken a severe diet restrictions and made delicious meals.

The Saturday morning crowd was not out yet but soon would show up. We had a great table, middle of the restaurant and Caleb helped us out. He was very nice and took care of us. Ivory also came out and greeted us. We chatted a bit about how we liked the food. We got boudin balls with fries. The fries were amazing, just regular fries. The boudin balls needed a little work but Ivory was very receptive to feedback. Mimosas were good too. I had the cranberry, it came in a carafe. We finished 2 of them between the 3 of us throughout our meal. I ordered the shrimp and grits. Grits were excellent, shrimp was a little salty but if I mixed with the grits, worked out well. We had the endless catfish and amazed that it just kept coming. Also ordered a special priced wing and waffle dish that was 2 wings and a waffle, a little snack. By time we left, all tables were full. Make reservations is my best suggestion. I will go back. I enjoyed the food.

However the owner and staff were apologetic and quite welcoming. Once seated, service was pretty quick. My friend and I actually were a little indecisive about what to order- so many great choices. We opted on the all you can eat (can't believe that's an option) chicken and chicken & fish meal, which comes with a side of red beans and rice & greens. My word, those greens were delish- red beans, not so much. The chicken wss delicious, and the fried catfish was ok. Some pieces had that "muddy water" taste I'm not quite sure the cause when I try it a various restaurants. We also ordered the martini flight, which is a cute play on words because it comes with oxtail meat and rice, shrimp n grits and a Cosmo all served in glasses. They also have bottomless mimosas for $20. Note: Happy hour (at least on Saturdays) is really just for the food not the drinks. If you opt for cocktails those will run you about $17+ , so it kinda forces you to get the mimosas. Another note, they're made with Brut champagne and not sparkling wine for those who might have a preference. All in all, a really fun spot. The music was AMAZING and the chef is HILARIOUS. He'll have you laughing, and welcomes honest feedback. I'll definitely return when someone else is driving. Lol.
