The pile of trash out by our road is ridiculous and obviously is an issue since we have a lot of wild animals running around here. Onto another interesting piece of information I have learned.... we have options of two other trash pickup companies which we got quotes from last week and Republic is double the price of the other companies. That seems a bit weird since they don't even pick up the trash. Ha!

The base rate cost was about…read more3 times as high as other vendors in the area and they tacked on additional charges on top of the base rate such environmental fees and fuel surcharges. The fuel surcharge has remained on the bill even after a couple of years of reasonable gas prices in the area. The company also charged a $15 fee to pick up their own container even though I cancelled within a reasonable time period. Costumer service told me I wouldn't owe anything additional since my last pickup was within my current billing cycle.
