Dr. Barker was great, letting me know ahead of each step what he was about to do. He made sure I was comfortable and not having pain and if so to raise my hand. Care Quality: Seemed lazy; Looked inside my mouth less than a minute and ordered a CT Scan immediately following x-rays so I received a larger than required dose of radiation. It seemed he could have been more reflective and circumspect. From my point of view, he was rushing but in a lazy way. Office Experience: Hygienist was brusque, harsh and aggressive. As I sat on the little stool with wheels to approach the CT imaging device, she pushed me closer to the machine and I started to topple over. I caught myself and she told to to scoot myself if I thought I could do a better job. At one point, I had to ask her to be a little more understanding. This whole office, sadly, gave me the creeps. I am a nice and friendly person and I deserve a nice and friendly medical experience. I don't need to be treated like royalty but a little genuine kindness would have been nice. His assistant and he were just on their A-game and worked well together. Icing on the cake: the office coordinator/manager up front was so polite and helpful. He went over everything with me and then scheduled my actual procedure. I arrived at 11:15 for a 11:30 appointment and was taken right in. The doctor came in almost immediately and the procedure took about 45 minutes. Dr.Yamamoto explained everything to me as we progressed through the procedure and answered all my questions upon completion. He was able to complete everything in one visit, which I greatly appreciated. He is an excellent endodontist and even called me the evening of the procedure to see how I was doing. I highly recommend him and Ventura Endodontics.
