I did an interview with an African-American manager and a Latina medical assistant during the interview the only question I asked was " is there a requirement for typing speed" to which they both answered 'No" I've been a medical assistant for over 20 years and I actually left the field because of envious jealous medical assistanys who care more about coworkers and what they're doing rather than taking care of the patients. So I thought I'd give it one more chance because the position was a little bit different than traditional medical assisting. So on my first day the manager who hired me was not there but the medical Assistant gave me a bunch of videos to watch and take notes. I don't know if she was bothered by the fact that I was a good note-taker, that I didn't need her help every step of the way, or just by my bubbly spirit, but as the day went by I can tell that she became more and more irritated with me for no real reason. At the very end of the shift she comes up to me and goes " oh yeah I forgot I was supposed to give you a typing test" she finds some random test online that was one minute long and she stands over me and watches me like a hawk which further increases my anxiety already feeling like this woman doesn't like me. My result were 25wpm on a test that 27wpm was passing. She then goes "oh yeah you're going to have to do a lot of typing" with emphasis on the word "a lot" which is untrue. EHR is more of a note-taking process than actually writing paragraphs. I got a call later that night from the temp agency that someone said that I wouldn't be right for the position. In real life I could do her job and two other medical assistants with ease. I'm 20 years in with supervisory experience. I knew exactly what happened. The very thing that made me leave medical assisting. The workers in these clinics are very Territorial and weird and they I'm more interested in you than taking care of the patients. I decided to make a Instagram story about it because this needs to stop. Putting medical assistants in charge of new hires. I'm sure that a lot of great people have walked through that door and Miss jealousy over here sent them packing.

He had the best side manners when both my wife and I spoke to him about the transplant program. My transplant match exchange came through 2yrs later in 2016 and I've been 8yrs clear and doing well. There was an 18 month up and down period before stabilizing but since end of 2018, it's been been living on borrowed time. I was fortunate to have 3 or 4 friends volunteer to donate a kidney to me but all ended not the best candidates. On after transplant surgery and since that the pandemic, I have been lucky to have follow-up semi-annual video visits with Dr Katznelson on half the visits. He is always so positive at each visit. I just had brain surgery Tuesday and he stopby Thursday to see how I was doing and glad he did. It was a refresh for a very exhausting 2 days. Gave me a chance to clarify with him on a couple of things

I've known of Dr Katznelson since I found out I got sick and was put on transplant list. I've only ever met him once before in a video visit! He did remember me, it was nice when he first walked in, gave me a firm handshake and said "finally nice to meet you in person, we've only met virtually." So that made me feel nice when people actually remember you! He sat and gave me a lot of information I didn't have. He even confirmed some false information I was given a while back. So now that I have the real info, I'll be doing what I can with it. He was patient and answered all my questions. Great doctor! Highly recommend him to anyone!

Unfortunately they put a medical assistant in charge of me and as the day went by I could see more and morethe she was bothered by my beautiful spirit. I think the fact that I didn't need her help to pretty much watch videos and take notes bothered her. Whenever she would check on me I would very politely let her know that everything was fine and show her the magnificent notes that I took. I even offered to watch extra videos because I still had time on the clock. Well at the very end of the day she walked up to me and says " oh I forgot I was supposed to give you a typing test" she literally stands over me and watches me like a hawk while I take a one minute typing test. I received the 25 on a test were 27 was average. She then says oh yeah " you're going to have to do a lot of typing" with emphasis on " a lot" when in reality using EHR is more about taking notes than writing actual paragraphs. Now mind you the question that I asked in the interview was " is there a required typing speed?" both the manager who hired me and the medical assistant who was assisting her said "NO." So the reality was that this woman was jealous of my spirit and my good nature and my ability to do the job without her help although I've been in the field for 20 years. I'm going to make an Instagram about it because I think it's important to stop leaving medical assistants in charge of new hires. The reason why I left the medical field is that medical assistants are extremely competitive and jealous and envious and will stop at nothing to try to get you fired or leave your job or in this case not give you a position that you rightfully deserve. And I hope they get to see this because they probably run off a lot of good people.

He was told that the appointment was 330 but he should arrive 15 minutes earlier so that he could fill out his paperwork and go over some forms and documents. We arrived at the location at 2905 Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley at 2:45. When he arrived the medical receptionist immediately had him fill out forms documents copy of ID and medical card etc. She was done with his paperwork by 3 o'clock. Mind you once again that is appointment was not until 3:30 PM and it is now 3:00 PM!! I am sure that there were other patients ahead ofHim and we understood this since he was early! We understood and understand that just because you arrive at the doctors office early the doctors and nurses still have other patients that can be scheduled before you since you did arrive early. Mind you once again that we arrived at 2:45 PM it is now 430 and my husband has literally been sitting in the doctors office for over an hour and the doctor has not seen him. I don't know if he is out skiing, at the casinos, on a coffee break, in a meeting with someone, forgot about my husbands appointment but its really bad for business on a first person visit that a doctor would hold you up for one hour without seeing a new patient or an Old patient for that matter. I will be making absolutely sure that he never comes here again and if your time is money I would suggest that you look for another doctor as well. Not is it only rude, it is 100% ridiculous to waste any persons time like this. If you can't see a patient until 430 then dammit make the appointment at 4:30.
