I got a 30 min massage and a basic facial (added neck and chest for $20). Total only came $115. I am very pleased with the results. I have sensitive skin and usually come out of facials very red but not this time! They did the perfect amount of extractions. They also used Collins products which I had not heard of but liked! Bizarre? Troubling? Vaguely gross? All words I would use to describe the Ultrasonic Facial I got here. I knew I was in for a wild ride when I lay down on the table and looked over at the small, sad collection of half-empty, busted-looking bottles the technician had assembled for my service. They looked like the dregs of someone's makeup drawer who was going through a hard time financially and emotionally. That feeling was heightened even further when the tech plugged in the ultrasonic device, which emitted a loud electrical spark and promptly shorted out and stopped working. Instead of acknowledging what had happened and that we would need to do a different service or cancel the booking altogether, the technician continued to rub what was now a large, dead non-functioning plastic wand over my face for the next half hour. I could have rolled with that, and I did, because it was awkward and I was trying to be empathetic and supportive of a small business, but what really took it over the top was the fact the technician was using plain old brown paper towels--the kind you'd see in a dispenser at a dive bar bathroom--to apply various serums and lotions on my face throughout the procedure, making the whole treatment room (and me) smell like wet dog. I'm giving two stars instead of one because the service started on time and everyone there was polite and nice. I'm just wildly confused and in retrospect wondering if this spa isn't really a 'spa' spa in the beauty sense but more of an...ummm...spa. read more

I just had the best facial and massage here. My entire experience was relaxing, and I have to say Jenny was so professional - and very thorough. My brother had mentioned this spa to us so many times and he even brought me a $100 gift card last month to ask me to try this place. So I made an appointment for facial and massage. I was about 15mins earlier and sat on the couch for few mins. After that the cute lady Jenny led me to the room. She steamed my face to clean up my blackheads and followed by hydrating mask, she was so gentle on my face and I even fell asleep with the mask on. After the facial, I also had the deep tissue massage and I told her I had very bad pain on my shoulder and neck area, she spent quite a bit time on my stressed area. My shoulder is still in pain which I totally understand - I had the pain since high school, but my neck is sooooo much better! This place was terrible, I went in for a facial and left looking like a monster. The lady I had was extremely rough with my extractions. I paid $65 for a 1 hour 20 minute facial. I had a 6:30 appointment I wasn't worked on till about 6:50 and she was done by 7:30 so the facial was under 1 hour. They have no idea what they're doing. About 20 minutes into my 60 minute massage the masseuse asked if I wanted to increase to 90 minutes at which point, before I had a chance to reply, the desk person popped into the room - yes, I was naked except for a skimpy towel - and said "you want 90 minutes?" I said no, I had an appointment to get to. Kind of took my head out of the massage zone. We finished up the relatively lackluster session and the desk person said I would've gotten a much more "complete" massage in 90 minutes. Hmmm. Anyway. Not awful, not the best. Feel Day Spa has been quite the unlikely obsession of mine lately. You see, I was never a massage guy. The idea of paying a perfect stranger to weirdly touch my near-naked body in a dark, cramped room was just not my idea of a good time. Any prior experience elsewhere would result in a tense, uncomfortable hour for both myself and the masseuse. I was likely less relaxed coming out than I was going in. I realize this is more my problem than it is anything else, but still, what the hell was I paying for? Then, on a whim, I scheduled a massage and mini-facial special at Feel Day Spa, after discovering it was a fraction of what I'd spent at those ritzier Manhattan spots that only resulted in disappointment. My expectations were pretty low, especially given the price tag, the tacky pink awning, that terrible name, and the lack of luxury decor. Not to mention, all the ladies in the spa's all-Asian staff appeared to clock in at under a hundred pounds apiece, unlike the brute, stone-handed, European-imported women I've had work my muscles at more high-end establishments. Waif-like frames aside, the girls working here know what they the hell they are doing. I'd estimate for the first twenty minutes of my appointment, my masseuse's feet barely touched the ground, due to the fact that they (plus her knees and thighs) spent that time kneading my entire back half, via various crawling, walking, and straddling moves. Facing down, all I could do was imagine how these acrobatics looked in actuality, but I swear, they've got to use the walls for leverage at some point. The moves I was feeling just don't make sense otherwise. It was impressive, and I'll be damned, it did the trick. Finally. A massage a nervous wreck of a man like myself could enjoy. I can't attest to the quality of oil or candles or anything else going on (that shit just ain't my forte), but I can tell you that I've never felt better coming out of a massage. Expect a thorough, full body procedure here. The mini-facial was nice, but I'd only take advantage of it with a combo deal they have going on (and it seems, they always have deals going on), otherwise, the $50 hour massage is my go-to. I don't know any of the girls names, which is fine by me, because I kind of appreciate the lack of small talk, and frankly, every different lady I've had (yes, I've gone back multiple times since that initial visit) seems to follow the same exact massage playbook anyway. I almost hate myself for knocking Feel Day Spa in the slightest, but I will say that the massage table just isn't the most comfortable. Without fail, my forehead always hurts by the end of it. Perhaps I should just ask them for a pillow, but I dunno - I don't know spa etiquette. My masseuse may or may not have also strangely left for half a minute to answer the front desk phone at one point. These girls here really run this joint and appear to wear multiple hats when on shift, so I can't really fault 'em in the end. I admit, I'm typically high-maintenance. So, to find the one massage spot that's succeeded in calming my nerves is also the cheapest is a dark horse win for both my wallet and my wellness. It would seem I don't need all the pomp of a luxury spa, after all. Just a flexible masseuse to climb all over my back like a knot-seeking spider monkey. Is that really so much to ask? read more

Came in with no appointment. Great. First entered the room, bright red drips all over the laying down sheet and pillow.. How do you bring Someone into a room first without checking the condition. The lady said its candle wax.. Didn't look like it but I'll believe her. Basic facial was nice, wasn't told what exactly was going on or what step they are on, but my face feels more lighter.. Downside is that I have more break outs so I'm confused. The 'best' part, I wish their workers would've said tip is MANDATORY, and that is has to be 18-20%, which seems crazy. Tip is suppose to be left up to the client. If they feel the service was good and had all their needs taken care of, then they can tip of they want to. Also if people are on a shirt budget and just want to care for themselves as a treat day, maybe they only have that much to spend! I originally had $10 to tip, and most likely dropped it on my way there, but making talking to each other in chinese and exchanging looks & me feel like a criminal for not being able to tip is not ok! Came here on a whim. My boyfriend said he'd treat me to a facial so I wasted no time trying to find a pocket friendly day spa in the area. Yelped facials found this place. I can't say I had a bad experience. I called and hour before got seen right away. I came in said I wanted a facial. And they started surveying my face as to what kind of facial would be best for my skin type. Got the acne facial ($60) I had only had one other facial before this one, And this one wasn't far off from the other. Only difference is they (skinstation) gave me a thorough shoulder massage. This one was brief, but for the money I can't complain. This place is perfect for someone who's standards aren't too high or bougie. Would definitely recommend! So not only have I found another great spa - but also a masseuse who gives great massages that aligns with my body and needs as an active person with over utilized muscles and stress. I like Feel Day Spa - it is straight to the point. If you are looking for a tea room and an overwhelming oasis with a Sauna - Juice Bar - a pool - and a private relaxation room - This is not the place - LOL! However - if you are looking for a place to get a cost effective spa package - facial - body scrub - and feel great when you leave - then there it is - FEEL DAY SPA - exactly that FEEL Great!. Today I opted for a 90 minute Deep Tissue with a Full Body Scrub afterwards....... I left feeling lighter than when I walked in - I was soooooo relax And guess what it was only $105....... Also if you decide you wanted a 60 minute massage and Body scrub - That is only $75 - who could beat that........ well I do have another spot that has great packages too - but it is in Williamsburgh - but I do appreciate finding a new place closer to home. With that being said - there is a couple things that I felt could be better - I was a little cold - so next time - I will opt for no air condition in the room. Also next time I will opt for two towels so that my full body can be covered - I like the rest of my body to be covered as the other parts are being worked on - That is just me. I didn't see any reviews for waxing here, which I'm curious about. I walked in and got a half leg & bikini wax ($38). It was a nightmare. The fabric hadn't been pre-cut so she was cutting it during my appointment. She kept asking if the wax was too hot (which it was), then blowing on it and me. She pressed down the fabric in totally arbitrary directions, and pulled it off the same way (rather than with the hair and against the hair). She missed a lot of hairs, and when I got home I had a lot of sticky patches left. I left a $2 tip to be nice but the woman who rung me up still scowled at me. Like the other reviews, I admit I also walked past this place, thinking it wouldn't be as good as it was, but it was actually a REALLY great facial. I booked a few days ahead of time for two facials - my boyfriend and myself. I was surprised when they put us in the same room which was cute. I live in Manhattan, and even after all the facials I've had here, I would absolutely go back alllllll the way to Brooklyn for my next one. It was only $50 for I think a 60-70 minute facial, and it was probably the best one I've had in years. My esthetician was thorough and attentive the entire time and not harsh on my skin at all and I still left feeling amazing and over the course of the next few days, I could see great results. Its a nice little spa at an amazing value. Irene worked out all my kinks (there were alot I hold stress/tension in my shoulder...no matter how much yoga & exercise I do). The ladies were very friendly. The place isnt the Mandarin Orient but it is clean, quite & comfortable. My only quif is my massuer left twice to tend to the front desk (everyone was busy and she was closest). I gotta be honest, I live in the area and when I saw them putting up the bright pink awning, it looked out of place and I thought I'd never set a foot inside. The phrase "Don't judge a book by its cover" comes to mind when I think of Feel Day Spa, as the services, prices and the friendly staff overcompensates for their awful outdoor decor selection. I have been here twice already and have even brought my sister and brother-in-law, for a 30 min massage that they both badly needed. I myself have gotten the 1 hour Deep Tissue Massage ($50 +tip) and the Full Facial (also $50 +tip) and have been more than satisfied each time. Some of the other reviewers have said it, it is a notch up from the Canal Street massage parlors (NOT the ones with the "happy endings"), but all in all, a place that I would definitely go to again and again. read more

Feel Day Spa will now become my husband and I go to spot. The massage is amazing! As stated by many others it is interesting how Wendy (a little Asian lady) can give such a thorough massage. My husband who has had MANY many massages still can't get over how good it was. While receiving my facial from Jenny, along side him getting his massage, I had to listen to him go on and on about how GOOOOD the massage is and wait until your turn...lol. Long story short... the massage was just as good as he raved. I workout at least 5 days a week so you can imagine my body pains. She located and worked out every kink! And let's not forget the facial ..ahhhh... it was also excellent. For one hour your face is pampered and rejuvenated. The products used felt so good and did exactly hat they were supposed to. I walked out of there feeling brand new and soooo relaxed. Can't wait to return in June! I will add ...that when we first walked in we were a bit skeptic on what to expect. My back was killing me from all this snow shoveling (2014 never-ending winter!) so I broke down and booked a massage here. I work from home so I went on a weekday in the middle of the day. After reading some of the reviews about back-only massages, phone calls, etc I was a bit apprehensive. But it was awesome! Jenny was my masseuse. She worked my whole back, legs, arms, head for the full hour. She took care not to use too much pressure because I can't handle deep tissue massages. The massage room was simple and no frills but for $50/hour was just fine. And at that price I can afford to make this a more regular thing. I will be back. read more

Edit: breaking out ever since this facial. Approach with caution. Had a vitamin C facial and body scrub. Loved all the products she used and my skin is brighter. The staff was lovely. However, maybe a little too aggressive with the metal pore cleaner tool -I have red spots on my cheeks where I have never noticed any pores or blackheads because she went to town on a spot that perhaps didn't need it. The cold mask is amazing, though. The body scrub was great but the rinse off is tragic so be prepared - a little standing shower stall shared with a bunch of cleaning supplies and a maintenance closet. All in all, I'll probably keep trying other spots and feel like I could more bang for my buck elsewhere. read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars for a couple reasons: 1) Convenience. I got an appointment 1 hour before I wanted to come in on a Saturday afternoon. 2) Thoroughness. I had the most extensive facial I've had, anywhere, complete with an eyebrow shape-up -- and it was the most basic facial on the menu. 3) Price. $50 for the above? Okay by me! No, it's not the most glamorous spa in town, but if you go in knowing that, you'll probably find yourself as pleasantly surprised as I was. And it's certainly a step up from other low-cost "spas" like this where they stick you on a bed with nothing but curtains separating you from the person next to you. The only thing I wish for (and can't seem to find in NY, even at higher-end spas) is a facialist who doesn't just leave you for 15 mins while your mask is setting. My sister bought me a gift certificate to Feel Day Spa for Christmas for $50 and they threw on an extra $10 which was great. I waffled a bit on what kind of treatment I would get but decided I really needed a good deep massage. What is nice about this place are the hours. Even though you don't need an appointment, I decided to make one for a Wednesday evening to make sure I would get the attention I wanted. When I went at 7pm, it was pretty empty and I wasn't even sure if there was someone available to work on me. The receptionist got me started in the back room of the spa. Having never been here before, I didn't know that she was probably primarily the receptionist because 10-15 minutes into my deep tissue massage, she was interrupted and I was left alone for about 5 minutes. After then, I noticed vastly different hands working on my back. I can't complain though because the masseuse more than made up for the weird transition with a longer massage than I originally signed up for and I felt incredibly relaxed and "worked-out" afterwards. I would definitely go back, the price is right and overall it's a comfortable place. read more

I'm going by the reviews of Meh, I've experienced better, because I have. It was okay...the service was quick...a little weird. I got the deep tissue massage, which consisted on a woman rubbing on part of my back over and over for like 5 minutes until she gave up on the "knot" and moved on. Needless to say that spot hurt for a week. The really weird part of the massage was that she only massaged my back! My sister was getting a massage and she said the same thing happened to her. I also got the body scrub, which was a glorified application of some good smelling body scrub. I had to walk over to a shower and wash the stuff off of my body. I knew this wasn't a Korean spa, but I thought they would have been a little better at this. I'd go back for maybe a regular massage, but nothing else. I don't believe people get facials here! I made the appt for a 60 min massage but once we got started Cindy my masseuse noted I was very stressed/tight on my upper back and suggested the 90 min instead. I agree and was so thankful for the extra time. I didn't feel that I was getting upsold at all, but we both needed the time to really work out the knots. I went in for a 60 minute massage and a full body scrub. I had read reviews so I knew not to expect anything overly luxurious, and honestly, that didn't really bother me, but I just wasn't comfortable. The table was hard and the towels were thin and even slightly rough. I'm used to fluffy towels that are long enough to just be folded down as different areas are worked, but here, the towel needed to be pulled down over my legs to work my back, then pulled up over my back to reveal my legs-so that slightly rough feeling was exaggerated through the pulling and tugging over the course of the massage. My neck and upper back do feel better, so I think the massage was ok, but the other thing that bothered me was I got shorted out of massage time. The special I purchased was a 60 minute massage followed by a body scrub. My masseuse started the scrub early, only by maybe 6 or 7 minutes, but still, that was kind of annoying. I would skip the scrub too, nothing you can't do in the shower. I don't mean to be overly negative, like I said, the massage overall was ok, it's just I don't think I'd go there again. I can't imagine going anywhere else for facials. I usually get the $60 acne facial and it really does the trick on my stressed out skin. There is a more expensive, $95 acne facial which I tried once. The facial and the results were still great but not all that different. The staff was friendly and attentive during the process - I asked them to be gentle during the extraction because my skin is so sensitive and she was very gentle while still being thorough. The place is clean, very comfortable and the prices are perfect for my budget. I will definitely be going back! read more
