I was informed that a random doctor on call would delivery my baby, and I could not meet the physician prior. As I was searching for a decent physician I came across this office. When I called the woman at the desk was impatient. She informed me I would not be seen for at least two months, the doctor would need all my records, review the records, and decide if he would take me as a patient. I tried to expedite my records by seeing how I could assist. She informed me they would get my records from my previous office. Since it's been over two weeks and no one has contacted me about a records release. I assume I should just keep shopping or take whatever kind of care i can get and hope for the best. That's healthcare in America.

When I experienced high blood pressure late in pregnancy, we were advised to go to the hospital--but the promised support in emergency transitions never came. My partner and I had to navigate the ER and hospital system alone while I was in and out of consciousness from a magnesium drip. The only outreach was a call asking whether we'd be returning for aftercare--not a check-in, not a gesture of compassion, not even a follow-up to acknowledge what had happened. We later discovered documentation of a hypertension diagnosis that was never discussed with us transparently. No safety plan was made. The most guidance we received came from our hypnobirthing coach--not our midwifery team. We were also exposed to COVID-19 due to lax policies around symptomatic individuals, compounding our stress and vulnerability. While a partial refund was eventually issued, the emotional impact of being left unsupported in one of the most critical moments of our lives still lingers. I truly hope Nativiti has grown and changed. But for us, what was promised and what was lived were very different.

There is plenty of seating (including comfortable couches which I greatly appreciated later on in my pregnancy). There is even a kid section in the far corner for patients who come in with young kids. The office staff is very friendly and very quick to get you an answer to any questions. I have called countless times and they have always gone out of their way to help me. My work schedule is very crazy, and they have always been more than accommodating when scheduling my appointments. Evelyn Simmon's nurse is fantastic! She is always smiling and happy to greet you. She is wonderful at answering any questions she can. She is also very understanding if you call and need to speak to her or Evelyn when it is between your appointments. She is very quick at getting any doctor's notes you need faxed over to where ever they are needed. Evelyn has been amazing throughout my whole pregnancy! She is always very kind and will spend as much time as I need to go over any questions or concerns that I'm having. She always remembers little personal things we talk about each visit (much more than what could be jotted down in a medical chart). She has a very calming and open demeanor that instantly makes you feel very comfortable and at ease. She was the best choice I could have made when it came down to choosing who to see throughout my entire pregnancy. I did have a complication during my third trimester. Evelyn was very honest in telling me that she was not comfortable seeing me while I was having this complication. She requested that I see Dr. Young who got me an appointment immediately. He was very kind and knowledgeable. He assisted me with the complication and got my body back where it needed to be for my baby.
