We immediately began calling neighbors and the police as we rushed back to the house. Once we arrived, we saw Monique Carrabba, who informed us that she was the one who triggered the alarm. She made a point of saying that she knew our house was not ready for showings. She said she checked the listing and it said "no phone calls, no emails" etc. The sign on our lawn says "coming soon". Yet in spite of every literal sign saying "do not come in", she did exactly that. She entered our home with her client, and if the alarm would not have gone off, we may have never even known she was here. I don't want to imagine what might have happened if I came home and found her trespassing in my home. Needless to say, this incident caused a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety. Monique's entitled behavior was totally and completely disrespectful, unprofessional, and reckless. I understand if her client was only in town for the weekend, but we would have gladly accommodated her with a simple phone call or email to our agent.
