As it turned out, I am either not fat enough or too tall to qualify for the program that I wanted. But since I'm not entirely sure of my height, we scheduled another appointment two weeks away, during which Simona would measure me. I decided that I would start using heavy weights again to build muscle, since a foot fracture derailed my workouts and caused weight gain. However...I then decided that I probably am too tall and still might not qualify. And I likely couldn't gain significantly more muscle in two weeks. So I went on Groupon to get a refund. To my COMPLETE surprise, my Groupon had been redeemed without my knowledge or consent. I called, and it was explained to me that they always redeem the Groupons upon arrival, in order to prevent people from getting the service and then claiming a refund. While I understand that concern, it's a terrible business practice to do that BEFORE determining eligibility. I probably did look fat enough, as I was wearing a baggy sweatshirt over leggings. I was not told that they had redeemed my Groupon, probably because I had scheduled a new appointment. I told them that, commonly, providers ask me to pull up the voucher AFTER the service, or, if it's a facial treatment, sometimes when I arrive. And then *I* mark it as used in front of them. This action cannot be undone, so the provider is protected. I think this is a MUCH better practice, especially when there are eligibility requirements. As a side note, I am appalled to learn that people try to scam providers. Ugh. Shameful. Simona promptly sent the email confirming my ineligibility, which Groupon requires for a refund, and for that I'm grateful. I gave five stars because although I was initially very disappointed, then furious, the situation was handled as well as possible. I'm going to look at some of their other services, since I likely won't qualify for the one that I purchased.

I asked for several light pastel colors to be added in my hair and she used extremely bright, almost neon shades. Not only was the color terrible, but my hair was completely fried because she overprocessed with the bleach. It actually was starting to break and fall out while I was there and my hair was being blow dried after the bleach and before adding the colors. When I was looking for someone to fix what she had done I was told that it was completely unnecessary to have even used bleach and that she never should have attempted what I asked for in one session. I consulted with 3 other stylists about fixing my hair and all of them said that they would have told me they could not do what I wanted without multiple visits and incorporating different colors over time. Tracy refused to refund my money and was going to charge me again to fix what she had done that looked so awful. A reputable stylist would want their client to be happy and would at the very least fix the problem for free. Not Tracy. She also said that in order to fix my hair it would need to be bleached yet again. That was not accurate. I was able to see a stylist who actually is a color expert and he was able to bring my hair back to a beautiful brown without any bleaching. I saw Tracy in June. It is now November and my hair is still damaged and falling out in clumps. That is why I am leaving my review months after my visit. My hair was butchered by Tracy. It was healthy and strong before she touched it. To top off the horrible color job, Tracy had an attitude during my entire appointment and made me feel very uncomfortable. I felt so weird that I actually told her that even though I hated my hair, it was what I asked for, which it wasn't. I went in to say that I didn't like it and wanted it fixed as soon as possible because I was embarrassed to be seen in public. She wasn't helpful in discussions about what could be done and actually suggested that I use hydrogen peroxide on my severely damaged hair to help remove the designer colors. I do see she has many positive reviews, which is very surprising to me, but maybe she was having an off day when I got my hair done. All I know is that it will take a long, long time for my hair to be healthy again and I deeply regret ever having let Tracy touch my hair.

Upon getting home I took a better look at my receipt and realized the receptionist charged me $20 instead of 20%.I had gone with a friend so I let her know what happened & she mentioned she was also charged $20 instead of 20%.Being that I heard multiple customers ask her to add a 20% tip while I awaited my service I decided to call the following Monday to let the manager know what happened to me and at least one other customer.I spoke to the front desk who said the manager wasn't available but would give me a call the following day.It has now been a week from my service and I never heard back from any staff member. Tech named Wubanchi was not experienced in waxing. Did not know how to apply wax to skin, wax was too hot even after I mentioned it. Did not make me feel comfortable coming into appointment locked the door as I went in the room. After consultation on how I wanted my eyebrows waxed I stated only a clean up do not touch shape. Tech went ahead and started applying wax. She started with the mid section of the brows and applied wax from the top of the forehead down toward the bridge of my nose. She then did the top of my eyebrows and would apply a very long strip of wax and rip it off which is not how most techs apply the wax in sections and knowing how and in what direction to rip off the wax. This tech did not know in what direction to rip off wax. Oh and she also got wax on the rest of my eyebrows that she was trying not to remove so I have holes in my eyebrows too. The shape of my eyebrows was severely touched and I now have very very thing shapeless eyebrows that are not even the same shape. They do not match they look like thin lines and is not at all what I told her to do with my eyebrows. I was extremely disappointed with this tech given that this is a European Wax center how is supposed to hire knowledgeable technicians. I will now have to show up to my job which is customer facing by the way and have to look like a total weirdo with my eyebrows after this service. I have written a very negative review in Google and also left no tip to this tech because I felt incredibly deceived with this service I received. I have been a loyal customer to European wax center for over a year now and even went ahead and bought a wax pass because I thought the service was good.
